Join Business Coach, Robin Walker, for insights into how the people you surround yourself with in your small business can be the superpower you need for growth, and a happy and healthy business.
“The beliefs, mindset, and ambition of the people who surround you as a business owner, directly influence your success.”– Robin Walker
Where can you ‘be real’ about business ownership? Do you have a group or circle of other business owners that meet regularly for support ad growth conversations?
How do you know if your business circle is a superpower or is keeping you stuck where you are?
Entrepreneurs: listen in to episode 95 to hear all the good stuff. The summary is below.
Your circle is a superpower if:* You can be vulnerable and show up as your true self. You don’t need to put on a facade, explain away failures (or hide them). When you have trust in your group, you can try out out new mindsets, bring hard things into the light, and get to the bottom of why something isn’t working. * There is growth mindset instead of negative attitudes and blame. When business owners blame forces out of their control when things don’t work, (the algorithm, the economy, etc), they are not looking for solutions. If this is who you are surrounding yourself with, you are not going to grow. You will find excuses and not look to what you can do differently to find success. A healthy group with hold a compassionate space for you, but also help you find a solution. * The people in your business circle have a similar level of ambition, and views on life balance as a business owner. They challenge you to dream bigger, charge a healthy rate, hold boundaries, and own your expertise.
Your circle will be cheering you on, even if you are outperforming them. They will not be threatened by your success.
Additional benefits of a powerful business circle:* They will make referrals for you because they want to- and they are right fit referrals because they know you so well. * They will challenge you to try new things and lovingly call you out when you are limiting yourself. * They are honest about their business experiences and are willing to share their resources and wisdom. * They show up for each other.
You don’t have to do business alone. Having a space to be vulnerable and talk honestly about business is a game changer. Until you have that, you may not even realize you are missing it.
So now what? If you are looking for a mastermind circle to join, the Impact Business Circle is now accepting new (and returning) members. Check out what if offers here, and get in touch to see if it is a right fit for you and your business. It offers business coaching, group support, and goal setting strategy and accountability.

As a small business consultant, one of the most common things I hear owners say is that are overwhelmed. They can’t get to everything, they don’t have enough time, and of course the ideas! The never ending business ideas that you think of in the shower, in the car, and wonder which one is next… even though the last ones haven’t been finished.
Today I am going to talk about a quick reset you can do when you are feeling this way.
Usually I find entrepreneurs in one of 2 camps:
People in business longer than you, still feel overwhelmed just like you do. There are a multitude of reasons that you may be feeling this way in your business, and there is not a one size fits all reason. These are the trends that I notice when coaching business owners.
What I see as the most basic problem for entrepreneurs, is the lack of built in accountability for staying on track, a documented plan, and a singular focus for you as the leader of your company.
Check in with your plan weekly. Are you still on track? When you feel overwhelmed, one of the easiest ways to find focus is to revisit your goal or plan.
Are the tasks you have on your calendar getting you closer to this goal? Or are you buried in the urgent day to day and never picking your head up to secure the future success of your business?
recap:
I would be honored to help you with your plan.

Do you find yourself staying busy with non-urgent tasks when it is time to tackle a difficult project or task?
In this episode refresh, Small Business Coach Robin Walker is talking about the phenomenon of Productive Procrastination. According to Urban Dictionary, the definition of Productive Procrastination is ‘Doing stuff to keep busy while avoiding what really needs doing.”
This is extremely common in the entrepreneur and business owner community. When we have a hard task or an overwhelming to-do list, we tend to instead, choose a different task that feels easier. Unfortunately that means the hard (and sometimes more important) tasks don’t get completed.
Staying in the comfortable leads to stagnation.
