Good afternoon Kings and Queens, Where would we be if we forgot how much it meant to be at peace with ourselves and not everyone else? It would take a toll on every part of you. Mental health is an abstract topic that tends to go unnoticed until you have reached the end all be all. We live in a society that insinuates we need to 'check on our strong friends' and nothing is done. We say you should 'pray about it' and then no action is taken after the prayer is submitted. Words without actions are just words... right. We tell people to 'pick your head up and let it go,' or 'it will get better,' or 'you're overreacting.' When in actuality these are the things that can push someone over the edge. Mental Health is a thing that needs to be discussed and actions need to be taken. This panel is comprised of a few individuals I have encountered who were willing to open up about their mental health and some tips that worked for them. However, within that support are 4 different types of people: Leecher, Givers, Helpers or Don’t Carers. A Leecher takes and nothing more. A Giver will give the last article of clothing they have and want nothing in return. A Helper wants what is best for you and works with you until you get there. They then choose to stay or go onto their next task. Then you have a Don’t Carer. These are the individuals who could care less if they are succeeding or you are flourishing. They care about nothing. Good morning Kings and Queens, Mi Abuelita used to always tell me while we are cooking that there were 3 types of spoons. You have your METAL that causes a depletion in nutrition, flavor and adds sound. You have PLASTIC. that can cause the most problems especially if it melts while cooking. (Means you have to start completely over.) Then you have the WOODEN spoon that is interchangeable. It does not add harsh chemicals, doesn’t take away flavor, brings everything together and allows you to be you in life. I never understood what that meant until yesterday. The spoon you choose to be will have the same obstacles just different variants. One will make everything change your perspective, the other one will make you completely start over and the last one gives you the opportunity to do both but with a greater outcome to be imperfectly you. Today, we were able to get a great group of individuals together (remotely) and talk about the systematic issues of 2020, relationships, street code: leaving violence where it's at, and walking away or forcing it to happen. As we engaged in the conversation we learned the difference in opinions and backgrounds of each of these individuals. Every person from a different background, but almost living the same story in 2020. So remember as we close out this year start to have those important conversations and remember that everything happens for a reason.

What gives you the right to take? Judge? Exile? Mislead? Confuse? Etc... nothing does. It’s not our place to do so.
Life is like chess. We often forget that protecting ones self comes with checks and balances. There are times that you have to be checked and others where there is a checkmate. Let your pawns disappear. Allow your Rook, Knight, and Bishop to be captured. Finally allow your King/ Queen to be open to what is in front of you. It is okay to let the wall down. Stop trying to protect what was supposed to be vulnerable to learn the lesson in the first place. Your protection right now is NOT NEEDED.
Don’t allow the mistaken to mistake you as a mistake . They just want to cast the blame of themselves onto you. YOU ARE NOT A MISTAKE ! You never have been and never will be!

In this season of packing up and letting go we become scared of what will happen next. It’s like putting a 1000 piece puzzle together and only finishing the corners. Never to see the finished result. It’s time to finish! It’s time to let go. It’s time to move on. The movers are awaiting your call.
We have to stop looking at the 1st coat thinking that we are all done; when we know that the second coat is necessary!
Often times it gets to a point that people will constantly undermine what you are saying, doing or even not doing to get their point across. This is the time to stand firm in who you are and let them know your voice deserves to be heard. Don’t allow anyone to talk over you. You deserve the same respect and comprehension as anyone else.
We are constantly in a rut of not wanting anyone to lend out a helping hand. This is why our building process stops at the cracked foundation we call cement. We have to stop running away from being saved by someone else. You need to start running towards being built / mentored with a helping stance. It might not be idealistic, but the mentality of doing by yourself is for the birds. Everyone had to ask for help some time. The time is now. Don’t be like America and end up with their heads so far up there ass that no one else wants to even try to help. Create those relationships and thrive in helping others as others help to pull you up as well.
It’s time for you to remove and replenish the things that serve no purpose in your life
The negative connotation we place on ‘Impossible’ has to stop! You are capable of doing anything you put your mind to. When you are able to change your mindset to utilize the concept, life within itself will change. How you view things will change and the way you go about encountering things will change.
The differences you see in yourself are just that. You are no different than the rest. You were created to find the cracks in the system.
The utilization of a person either comes from being a giver or a taker. Which one do you equate yourself to be?
It’s time to get active and go talk to 5 people today. We are lacking social interaction because of this pandemic.
We give too many things the ability to think we have control over it when it can only control itself.
Start treating your life like you are playing red rover and break down those doors of opportunity.

We run to alleviate our need to understand and listen to the problems we are supposed to be fixing. When you stop running it gives you a chance to breathe through the situation and ask yourself, ‘What am I running from? Why am I running? ‘ It’s time to stop running from the things you are supposed to be learning from. Stand still. Stand tall. Stand firm. You’ve got this!
The relationships we foster regardless of age can change your directional path if not carefully aligned with your purpose, position or goals. It’s time to align them accordingly.
