Jack's entrepreneurial journey has one major thread through it- consistency and persistence. Today's conversation really boils down why those two concepts are critical for your business to succeed.

Jack began his entrepreneurial journey at 19 and founded his first company at the ripe old age of 21. Operating a successful nutrition consulting and distribution company, he had built a multi-million dollar venture before he was old enough to rent a car.

Soon after, he bought his first home as an investment. One quickly became five, and then the bug hit. He became obsessed with learning everything about Real Estate Investing and soon had over 50 investment properties generating passive income. Today, Jack spends his time mentoring other entrepreneurs, building his real estate investment portfolio, and helping other investors to build a brighter future through the power of turnkey real estate income.

Let's talk real estate. Real estate is one of those topics that you should at least know the basics of no matter what your career path is.

In today's interview, I dive into real estate investing principles with Jeff Schechter, aka “Shecky.”

Jeff has had the entrepreneurial bug his entire life. He started his first business right out of college, and over the years been involved in numerous businesses ventures. His love for real estate investing began in the 1980’s when he rehabbed 5 of his own residences before the term “house-hacking” even existed.

Since those early days of torn up kitchens and bathrooms, he’s bought and sold many properties and is an active investor to this day. In addition to investing, he operates a private consulting practice. He thrives on helping people realize their full potential…not just in business and investing, but in all aspects of life.

Let's talk drop shipping.

After graduating from college in 2006, Anton Kraly spent $25,000 to buy a delivery route to sell cookies in Merrick, N.Y., a Long Island community. But when Tim Ferriss’s book The Four Hour Workweek came out in 2007, Kraly rethought his business model, looking for an easier way to make a living. Investing $29 a month in an eCommerce hosting package, he put up an online store and started selling his cookies online at a site, called NYcookieshop.com, that he later sold. The new business quickly became more profitable than his delivery route. He and a business partner ran it while traveling in Thailand and Vietnam.

In 2013, he started Drop Ship Lifestyle to teach people how to create profitable eCommerce businesses by leveraging high-ticket drop shipping. Voted “Best eCommerce Course” by Shopify in 2018, Drop Ship Lifestyle is now the top online eCommerce coaching program and has helped more than 8,000 students in 25 countries to find freedom through entrepreneurship.

We're gettin' tactical in today's episode! No matter if your business is online or a brick and mortar, chances are you have a business website. If not... You should! ;)

An online presence is similar to a road sign- it does NOTHING if it's not visible and in front of people! That brings us to the topic of today's interview: SEO optimization. SEO is the tool that gets your website in front of your ideal customers/consumers. Even though this is the case, very few of us take the time to actually optimize our websites.

It can seem a bit overwhelming and too complicated. That's why I loved today's episode! Vlad essentially provided an SEO Optimization 101 class for us!

So... If you can relate to any of the above! Take a listen!

A little more about Vlad:

Vlad Mkrtumyan is the CEO of Logic Inbound- a digital marketing agency based in Seattle. Vlad is a serial entrepreneur and community builder based in Seattle as well. Today he leverages everything he's learned to drive high performing search marketing campaigns for clients through Logic Inbound.

We all face those annoyances... The small everyday irritations that happen almost like clockwork. It could be the key that keeps falling off your keychain, the bread bag that doesn't stay tied, or the protein shake that doesn't shake up all the way in your tumbler.

Most of us just let these things continue to happen. Which is funny... Because one of the definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. But that's for a different episode. ;)

Today's guest experienced a similar situation as one of the above and decided to not only create his own solution but to build a business around it and create a solution for others!

Have you ever wondered what the meaning of all of this is? Why we're on this earth in the first place and the truth of your purpose?

This interview is very different from your typical EB25 episode. In this interview, I got to chat with Holden Hill who's the author of Bring The Fire.

Instead of talking about business tactics and ideas, we dive into the framework that holds everything else together: Life's purpose.

Holden dives into his story of how asking himself one question led to him interviewing 500 Christ-following leaders in search of the truth.

This episode is a POWERFUL one that you're not going to want to miss. To quote Holden, "We have one shot in this life, let's give it all we got."

I don't think there has ever been a more impactful and powerful CWCM episode!

Today I get to interview my inspiring parents on how they have built a passionate and lasting marriage for 35+ years.

This has been a highly requested episode and a long time in the making!

In a world where marriages are falling apart left and right, this conversation was so encouraging and revealed such a powerful perspective on relationships.

***A few of the questions they answer in today's episode:***

How do you know you've found "the one"?

What are the core characteristics/traits to look for when choosing your spouse?

Why do confident men often become cocky when they're around a confident woman?

How can women start empowering men to be MEN instead de'MAN'ing them?

What do they wish they would have known in year 1 of their marriage?

We held nothing back in this conversation. Trust me... Whether you're single, dating or married, this episode will empower and inspire you so much.

In this interview, Jennae and I get into a raw conversation about what it’s really like to self-publish your own book.

Jennae is the self-published and best-selling author of four poetry books but is best known for her #1 selling book Uncaged Wallflower. She has developed a strong passion for writing uplifting poetry that encourages her readers to reach their full potential and learn about fulfilling their dreams.

Jennae has taken her passion for writing and love for people and turned it into her dream career. She is now a consultant for writers who are looking to self-publish their book and market it for success.

Not only is there a lot of logistics that go into self-publishing a book, but there’s also a lot that goes on in the process that most authors don’t talk about. Jennae and I pretty much cover it all from writing to launching, to marketing and let’s not forget the personal ups and downs that happen in the process.

If you’re in the process of writing a book or are want to write a book in the future, I highly recommend listening to this episode to get some perspective on the process!

On the outside, it can look like we live the perfect life and that our business boomed overnight. But hearing the process to getting there is always fascinating to me. Most of the time, it's all guts and no glory until way later down the road.

Marisa Sergi's 15's love affair with wine started in the basement of her grandparents' home with a sippy cup at age 3. In fifth grade, she went public with her dream of being a winemaker. A third-generation winemaker, she came by her career choice naturally, having grown up in the family winery business, and in 2015, she graduated from Cornell University with a degree in enology and viticulture.

Her senior-year capstone project at Cornell led to the launch of RedHead Wine, a unique blend of California Zinfandel and Chilean Carménère. Although Sergi has been working full-time on RedHead only since August 2016, it's already available at nearly 300 stores in Ohio, has a national distribution deal in the works, and scored shelf space with Walmart, Kroger, Giant Eagle and many more!

Her longer-term goal is to create an iconic RedHead brand, with a broad product line. Sergi's wine is her own unique concept, and now a growing business, if you will pardon the pun.

Hear the story of RedHead Wine (the good and the bad) first-hand:

Today's CWCM episode is a Q&A with yours truly! I've never done an official Q&A on the podcast before and I have to admit... It was pretty fun!

I put out a call for questions in the 25 Tribe Community and got some great ones back.

Some of the questions I answer today include:

How do I find the right balance in investing my time between NUYU, the podcast, and community?

What does my 5-year plan look like, personally and vocationally?

If you have a business idea, where do you start?

What is something I would recommend researching before diving into an e-commerce or online wellness coaching business?

What are two goals on my bucket list?

What is one thing that makes me laugh whenever I think of it?

What are the top 3 books I recommend?

Needless to say, it's was a fun episode to record for Y'all!

So, sit back and enjoy July's CWCM episode!

I learned SO much from today's episode with Allen Gannett. Allen is the founder and CEO of TrackMaven and the author of The Creative Curve that releases June 12, 2018!

Creativity is such an interesting and sometimes extremely abstract concept. Often times, we can tell ourselves the story that we don't have a creative bone in our body and creativity isn't something we'll ever be good at.

In today's episode and through his extensive research for his book, Allen demystifies the concept of creativity.

Not only do we break-down how to harness your inner creative genius, but YOU got your questions answered too 25 Tribe! Right before I conducted this interview, I asked you what you wanted to know about Allen and his entrepreneurial journey and we were able to cover those questions as well in today's episode.

It's safe to say that this interview is FULL of value.

Allen's Official Bio:

Allen Gannett is the founder and CEO of TrackMaven, a marketing analytics platform whose clients have included Microsoft, Marriott, Saks Fifth Avenue, Home Depot, Aetna (Etna), Honda, and GE. He has been on the “30 Under 30” lists for both Inc. and Forbes. He is a contributor for FastCompany.com and has an upcoming book The Creative Curve, on how anyone can achieve moments of creative genius, coming out in June 2018 from Currency, a division of Penguin Random House. He was also once a very pitiful runner-up on Wheel of Fortune.

Kyle Herron (a well-seasoned entrepreneur, popular past guest on EB25 and active member of the 25 Tribe) interviewed me and asked all the good questions.

We talk about where it all started, my views on failure, when to let go of relationships along your journey, how my faith and spirituality play a role in everything I do, my vision for Entrepreneur Before 25 and MUCH more.

So, if you want to get to know a little bit about my personal story and journey of entrepreneurship, this episode definitely catalogs the highs, the lows, the insights and a lot in between.

I've had a lot of conversations with young entrepreneurs and Katie Eder takes young entrepreneurship to a whole new level!

Katie is an 18-year-old high school student and the founder of a nonprofit called Kids Tales (KidsTales.org). Kids Tales sends high school students into summer camps and schools to teach creative writing to kids who do not have access to writing experiences outside of school. During a Kids Tales workshop, kids brainstorm, write, and edit their own short story. At the end of the week, the stories are published as an anthology, a real book.

Since its inception in 2014, more than 300 teenagers have taught Kids Tales to nearly 1200 kids across twelve U.S. cities and eight countries. So AMAZING.

Katie inspires me with her tenacity, endurance, and persistence. She doesn't put herself in a box. She doesn't just dream big things but she makes those big dreams happen.

Welcome back to another CWCM! For those of you who didn't catch it the last time, I've officially named these Monday episodes: *Coffee with* Chelann *Mondays (CWCM).* The first Monday of every month I will be releasing a bonus episode for the week with myself either doing a solo episode on an on-demand topic, or I'll be featuring a conversation I had with a special guest.

Today's CWCM is with yours truly. I sat down with my coffee and went into detail about a topic I mention a lot but haven't ever gone into too much detail about on the show.

That topic is time-blocking. You better believe it. ;)

The concept of time has always been fascinating to me. It never stops and sometimes it can move incredibly slow, but in hindsight, it always seems to fly by. Time is our most precious commodity because we can't get it back.

So how do we make the most of our time? Well, today I talk about how to maximize your productivity through the power of time-blocking. This concept has been a game-changer for me and I hope that it sheds some light and perspective for you as well!

An example of my time-blocked day:

4:30 am- Morning routine

6:15 am- Reply to emails, Facebook group comments, and post in the Facebook group

7:20 am- Prep for afternoon interviews

7:50 am- Record and edit CWCM episode

8:50 am- Create an email to list about CWCM episode

9:15 am- Add new email to 25 Tribe initial email sequence

9:40 am- Update NUYU weekly update board

10:00 am- Create e-book version of NUYU Culture Book (complete half)

10:40 am- Analyze cash flow

11:00 am- Workout

12:00 pm- Go to juice bar

1:30 pm- Call #1 with 25 Tribe Member

2:15 pm- Plan New York trip

3:00 pm- Interview #1

4:10 pm- Call #2 with 25 Tribe Member

5:00 pm- Interview #2

6:00 pm- Finish up loose ends of anything that didn't get accomplished

7:00 pm- Dinner with roommate

In today's interview with Larry Yu we talk Facebook advertising, targeting ads, building your avatar and also the power of compounding your focus.

Larry and his brother Perry started selling online at the end of high school. What began as a naive exploration soon became an integral part of their lives. Since then, they've built and sold two e-commerce companies before starting their own marketing agency, HighConvertingAds, which specializes in combining Facebook advertising with big data analysis for extraordinary targeting abilities. Larry and Perry have been directly responsible for over $2,000,000 in sales for businesses they've helped.

Today I have a VERY special guest on the podcast! You get to hear from my dad, Lonnie Gienger! You're definitely in for a treat. My dad is one of the greatest leaders I know. So to get him on the show to talk about his favorite topic (which also happens to be leadership) was incredible and such an honor.

Even though I get to talk to my dad all the time, I was taking notes during this interview because he shared so much wisdom:

A brief bio of Lonnie:

Lonnie has been actively involved in building numerous entrepreneurial ventures and has owned and managed several successful businesses over the last 30 years. His passion is using business as a platform to build a better world. Welcome back to yet another Monday episode! For those of you who didn't catch it the last time, I've officially named these episodes: Coffee with Chelann Mondays (CWCM). The first Monday of every month I will be releasing a bonus episode for the week with myself either doing a solo episode on an on-demand topic, or I'll be featuring a conversation I had with a special guest.

Today's conversation features another guest- Richard Moore.

We covered SO much more than just sales in this conversation including some major perspective shifting topics that had us both thinking deeper about entrepreneurship and life.

A little more about Richard:

Richard Moore originally worked 60 hour weeks in the City of London, before deciding to build his own businesses and help others do the same.

After building companies from the trenches up, by taking ownership of sales teams, coaching leadership roles and consulting with multi-hundred million pound organizations, Richard created his own company to help others get massive traction as they launched their businesses.

As he did this, Richard invested in many of the companies he helped to create and shared with the world his views on business, through the weekly live Q&A‘s he runs online, to speaking gigs in front of business owners in his space and his weekly blog. Richard also created products such as the Monetize You course, the Basics of Sales course and direct mentoring of established businesses.

Adversity is something we all face to varying degrees. Even though life hands more adversity to some than others, we all have a choice on how we choose to let it affect our lives.

In today's episode, I get to talk to Erika Ashley about how to turn adversity in our creative advantage. We talk about her personal journey with this and expand it to principles that can help us all!

A little more about Erika:

Erika Ashley is a Transformational Business Strategist and member of the Forbes Coaches Council helping millennial women turn their adversity into their creative advantage so they can skyrocket their visibility in the press and scale their business to six and multiple six figures. Erika believes that if she, a queer; over-weight; a chronically ill woman from a poor immigrant family, can succeed, anyone can. She's been featured in Forbes, Nylon, MindBodyGreen, Health, HuffPost, Thrive Global and more.

This interview with Jae Schaefer hit home for me! We went so deep so fast and really unpacked the concept of limiting beliefs, how they affect our lives and what to do with them. Jae is so real and authentic. She knows how to break down the process of tackling thought processes that are sometimes so deep that we don't even know where to start. A little about Jae: Jae is a speaker, writer and life coach from Sydney, Australia who started her own business at just 21 after quitting her journalism internship at a network newsroom to follow her passion for personal development. In just 3 short years, she has published an eBook, launched a digital course, mentors a tribe of young people in her virtual mastermind called The Next Generation and coached hundreds of millennials on how to let go of fear and self-doubt and make the impact they were born to make on the planet. Jae is currently writing her first book, has been featured in Women's Fitness Magazine, The Daily Telegraph and has most recently been nominated for the Beautiful You Coaching Academy's 'Emerging Coach of the Year' Award for 2018.

One of my favorite things about podcasting is being able to talk to people who I look up to and who inspire me. I've been following Lynette and her YouTube channel for a couple years now. One day, I decided to reach out to her and see if she wanted to share her story on the podcast. I feel so honored that this incredible woman said yes!

Lynette has been an inspiration to me in many ways but especially in her ability to stay authentic even while being in the public eye. I loved this interview so much because we got to cover a lot of things along that topic of conversation.

A little about Lynette-

Lynette Hoyle is an online personal trainer, YouTuber, and social media influencer. Her brand and her business help give women the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to take control of their health and fitness goals in a way that can create balance and harmony in their lives and in their relationship with themselves. From college students to women in retirement, Lynette has helped many find a fitness and nutrition regiment that supports weight loss while still allowing people to enjoy their lives without fear or guilt regarding food or the gym.

In today's interview, we talk about company culture. Culture is something that we all know is important, but few of us are actually intentional about putting the day-to-day work in to make our desired company culture come to life. I am in LOVE with the topic of company culture so this conversation with Tynan Wenarchuk was so much fun!

From researcher to internationally recognized entrepreneur, Tynan Wenarchuk has had a dynamic and unexpected journey. In 2015, Tynan started Illuminate Culture Consulting, a firm that works with companies to target business growth through advanced people + culture insights. As the people fanatics  & the “un-stickers,” Tynan and his team are known as the go-to support during the chaotic fast-growth period of a company. With their help, your company can be sure to scale while building the world-class culture you’ve been imagining. Alongside building Illuminate, Tynan keeps a full schedule as a musician and fitness coach, travels the world as a missionary, and exuberantly volunteers for his church and broader community.

Welcome back to another Monday episode! I've officially named these episodes: Coffee with Chelann Mondays. Why? Because the first Monday of every month I will be releasing a bonus episode for the week with myself either doing a solo episode on an asked for topic, or I'll be featuring a conversation I had with a special guest. And, you all know I love coffee. So, hence that part of the title. ;)

I am SO stoked for today's episode because it features a conversation with myself and my business partners, Teliah Gienger and Kennedy Wilkinson. The direction of this conversation was all centered around how to have a good business partnership.

I talk about business partnerships and Teliah and Kennedy a lot on EB25 episodes, so it's about time that you guys hear from them yourselves! I absolutely LOVE this conversation because it's such a good representation of who we are and what life is really like in our businesses. I'm so excited for you guys to listen and can't wait to hear what you thought about it!

So, sit back and get ready to laugh because you're about to get a candid glimpse into our everyday lives. ;)

Is it possible to build a business that supports your dream lifestyle even when you're young and in the early stages of entrepreneurship? Hanson Grant proves that the answer to this question is YES. He builds businesses that support his ideal lifestyle and makes him happy. He doesn't just build them for the money and status.

In today's interview, we talk about and break down how Hanson does this, what's worked for him and what hasn't worked for him.

A little about Hanson:

His most recent business, Think Board, has created opportunities that have allowed Hanson to be recognized by EO as one of the Top 25 Student Entrepreneurs in the US and by BETA Boston as one of Boston's Top 25 Innovators Under 25. I really enjoyed this conversation with Kelli Calabrese!

We talk about finding your passion, chasing your purpose and then how to turn that purpose into profit. Kelli breaks down what that process looks like and proves it through her own personal and fascinating story. Kelli has had so much experience in the entrepreneurial realm and listening to the perspectives and wisdom she's gained throughout the years was incredible.

Favorite quote of the interview:

"If there's passion and purpose behind it, there has to be value that will generate profit from."

"The journey of taking an idea and turning it into a business doesn't actually start with the idea, it starts with the mindset that you take on as an entrepreneur."

This is one of my favorite quotes from today's interview!

Do you have a CRAZY idea but you're not sure if it will work or even where to start to try and make it work? Today, we are with idea expert, Kyle Herron, who really breaks down the process of going from dream to reality.

"So many entrepreneurs don't take the strategic steps in month 1 to 3 so they can flourish in year 1 to 3."

Kyle doesn’t want to just build a company; he wants to create a movement. As a founder and the Chief Growth Officer of siëo, Kyle and his company are focused on catalyzing independence, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Since the inception of siëo, Kyle has gotten in his hands involved in multiple global initiatives. From being a TED Talk speaker at 18, to working with the Malaysian government’s startup program, to building apps with underserved communities, to helping start more than 50 companies, to even teaching college classes, Kyle continues to support and spread siëo’s mission. He now is taking his progressive approach to tackle three emerging problems: environmental degradation, political instability, and automation. All in all, Kyle shatters any image that may exist of an unmotivated millennial generation.

It was an honor to be able to talk with the legendary Brandon Steiner about his entrepreneurial journey on today's episode! We covered topics that don't normally get covered in interviews with him. These questions give so much context to how he managed to buy the Yankee Stadium and create the sports empire he has.

Brandon's authenticity, core personal values and continual desire for growth definitely show through in our conversation.

I love bringing guests on the show who have a little age, wisdom, and experience on the rest of us. It sheds so much light and perspective on where we might be in our journey today and how we should view where we are.

A little about Brandon Steiner-

He is the CEO and Founder of Steiner Sports. Steiner began in 1987 with a one-room office, $4,000 and a single Mac computer. Today, Steiner Sports is the most successful memorabilia company of its kind with over $35 million in annual sales. Brandon's mindset has always been to be fearless – that mentality has helped him secure partnerships with the most elite names in sports; Derek Jeter, Eli Manning, Odell Beckham Jr., Chris Paul and the New York Yankees among others. A few weeks ago, I had Jarrod Warren on the show and we talked about WHY the hustle mentality is driving millennial entrepreneurs to an early grave. After ending that interview we realized we weren't nearly done talking about this topic. So, I invited Jarrod on for a part 2! We talked about the WHY in episode 75 and in this episode we talk about the HOW. Namely- How to create SUSTAINABLE peak performance for our lives. Hustling isn't bad, it's just the way we hustle that can be bad and have extreme and not so great results in the near future. We really dig into two main points in this episode. Two super unexpected things that you're doing or partaking of that are sabotaging your peak performance. I was super surprised by these two points. Jarrod even gets a little scientific which was fun too to have on the show. For those of you who didn't listen to my first episode with Jarrod, I highly recommend listening to his first episode. But just to give you a quick summary of who Jarrod is in case you don't want to do that: He's the founder and host of the Success 101 podcast where his goal is to help others find a way to live more optimal through new concepts and ideas, that can be accomplished without experiencing burnout, fatigue, and an unproductive mindset. Super successful and amazing businessman. He speaks about this stuff because he was there. He had hit rock bottom because he worked too hard without balance. I love learning from people who are living passionately from their experiences. Anyways, sit back, relax and enjoy this show where we really dig deep into HOW we can maximize our peak performance and work SMARTER not harder.

This past year has brought so much break-through, connection and networking. Not to mention all of the amazing support from you listeners and from the amazing guests that we've had on the show.

This episode is raw and real and if anything, is my thoughts on a specific topic that really changed my life. I talk about this topic ALL THE TIME throughout all my shows and everything I'm featured in. And that topic is Extreme Ownership.
