Jesus taught us the important things of heaven. I learned that it is not in material things but in the souls we touch for His glory every single day.
God's Word is critical to remind us that He is still on the throne! He prohibits and allows! Our job is to have faith to believe that no matter what happens to us, He will be with us.
Six days God labored but on the seventh day, He rested. This is an example for us to honor Him by resting in Him on that day. Put down your cell phones. Stop scrolling on social media. Spend time in silence drawing closer to the One who created you and loves you enough to want you to rest!
No matter what happens on this earth, when you belong to Jesus, you will have divine protection right through the gates of heaven!

Lord, let me live in such a way that honors You. Never let me do or say anything that would cause someone to fall away from You!
It is a promise of God! When you turn to Him and ask for forgiveness, it will be done! Every single time!
How often do we question whether God can deliver on our prayer requests? Pray for God's will to be fulfilled in your life and it will be done!
Remember the angel who appeared to Daniel? He reminded Daniel that God did indeed hear his prayers. I'm here today to remind you that He indeed hears YOURS! Never stop praying and believing in The Lord your God!

The story of the persistent widow in Luke 18 reveals that God does indeed hear our prayers. He is a God of justice and compassion. And with all He gives to us, will He find faith when He returns to earth? Yes, Lord! Let it be so that you find it with me!
Don't forget the story of Job who had no clue at the back story of why he lost everything. And while he didn't feel God, he knew Him and trusted Him. We catch Abraham once more being fearful and not trusting God to protect him and his wife! He lied once again this time to a king about Sarah being his sister. The king had no clue so God protected the king and did not punish him. If you find yourself in a terrible situation and you are blameless, your God will also protect you.
Abram had such faith in God that he packed up his family and all his belongings and headed into a land he did not know! And yet fear caused him to lie to Pharaoh about his wife. Stand firm in your faith,. Do not be afraid. God will protect and keep you and will never break His promises to you.

What are the treasures that you are building up in heaven that cannot be destroyed on earth? Pray and ask The Lord to show you what matters to Him. Ask Him to teach you those things that are eternal and will never perish.

It's during the hard times in my life that my mind goes quickly to The Lord! The Bible tells us that He is close to those whose hearts are broken. Learn to give Him praise in dark times knowing that He will bring you closer to Him.
The Bible tells us that Jesus Himself took time alone to pray to His Father. Are you taking time to be with The Lord? Be still and know that He is God. Take time to speak to Him and to listen for His voice. It is a sure way to find peace in this fast paced world.

In becoming more like Jesus, wouldn't our circumstances also need to be more like what He faced? If He was betrayed, why wouldn't we be betrayed? My worship life has changed ever since I attended revival at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. I realized, through these young people, that we are not the audience in church. God is our audience. Is He pleased with our hearts and minds? Do we give Him our full attention in the service of worship and praise? Thank you Lord for showing me what true worship looks like! Thank you for moving through young students to teach us old folks how to worship!
God wanted bitter herbs to be served alongside the lamb for Passover. He did this to remind us that there is no salvation without suffering. This is so true in my life. Only in suffering, betrayal, loneliness and pain did I find Jesus. When everyone walked out of my life, Jesus walked in. Pain has great value and God will use it to draw you even closer to His Son.
Revival not only consists of praise and worship; it also includes our turning from a life of sin! True revival leads to a transformed life. How blessed we are that Christ died to forgive us of our sins and welcomes us into eternal life!

No matter what challenges I face in life, God always shows up in a mighty way to help me through it! Never lose faith! Believe what God says! He never breaks His promises to you!
Be aware that when you speak God's written truth, some people will push back against you. Be strong and courageous and never be afraid to speak the truth in love.
In times of loss, follow the example of Jesus. When John the Baptist was killed, Jesus withdrew to a solitary place where I expect He prayed and leaned into God for support and comfort. But then, when He saw the crowds that followed Him, He had compassion on them and healed them. We can learn from His example. In times of sorrow, pray to God for comfort and then share that comfort with those in need around you.
There is such turmoil in the world today and so many of us fear the unknown in our lives. Seek first to know Jesus. Seek His will for your life. By having a relationship with Him and staying in His will can bring peace and comfort to your soul.
There is a wonderful book 'The Practice of the Presence of God' by Brother Lawrence that has given me a deeper insight of living and moving with God throughout my day. Let us go throughout our days in thanks and praise for His loving compassion and care for each of us Let us always be aware of the presence of God.
So many times, we don't understand what is happening to us. When we don't hear from God, know that He hears us. Get into His Word. Read and remember His promises to you. And always, stay in His perfect will.

Over tithes and offerings, God desires our hearts. The scriptures tell us that to do good, share with others, confess and praise the name of our Lord Jesus Christ are the sacrifices that most please God. Hebrews 13:17
God warned Ezekiel that he would hold him accountable if he did not rebuke the sins of man. We can be silent no more. We will be held accountable.
We claim to be Christians and yet live in fear and insecurity. We have the form of godliness buy deny its power. It's time to stand on God's Word and live out the life He fully intended for us. Believe in His promises! Live in and with His great power in your life!
I have never felt more that God is calling us to speak the truth in love! We are to speak light into darkness. Just as God told Paul not to be afraid but keep spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, He is also calling on us to do the same. We are not alone. God is with us.
Good works or following certain rules won't get us into heaven! We must love God with all our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves! Accept God's Son as your savior. Repent and turn from anything in your life that pulls you away from the holiness of God.
The Lord desires our hearts over any tithes and offerings. He wants a relationship with each of us so He can share His great love and compassion. In return, He asks that we praise and thank Him! Let us live as examples of a people of faith!
If you ever hear 'You're no good." or "You can't do anything right." - know in your heart and mind that it is not from the Lord your God. The Lord loves you. You are wonderfully made in His sight. Speak out against any darkness that tries to separate you from God!
Pray for the courage to be strong and stand up for the Word of God! He will hold each of us accountable.

When you live a life of sin, how does it benefit you? What good comes from living out of the will of God? I can tell you from personal experience, I did not benefit one single thing from a life of sin. Stay in the will of God to discover true peace and joy!
Like Jonah, if we run from God, Satan will always be there to help us alone! No prosperity, peace or purpose will ever come to a life without God. Stay in God's will and obey His commands. Greater is He in us than he who is in this world!
There is a reason that we were born at this time and in this place. God chose those whom He could trust to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. He know there would be such a time as this. Consider yourselves His chosen ones!
My prayer is that God would call each of us His friends. It is my hope that by His knowing our hearts, He would call us 'righteous'. Lord, we live to repent from our sins and follow you until you take us all home!

Are we so insignificant in our fight to spread the gospel that the demons don't even know our names? I pray that they tremble at the thought of us getting up and heading out the door! Lord, give us courage to fight the good fight! We will never stop fighting for you!
The Apostle Paul was willing to be bound in chains for the salvation of Israel. Are we willing to suffer the consequences of spreading the gospel for the salvation of our fellow man? Lord, we pray so! Give us the strength to shine your light in the darkest of places! We are willing to do the work!
Our nation is in a moral free fall. Just like the ancient prophet, Elijah, we must stand courageously and speak the Word of God! We can no longer be complacent and say nothing about what is happening to our children in our schools. Be a modern day Elijah and speak light into darkness! Even if you stand alone, take a stand for God's truth!
Don't think of the church as a building but think of it as the people inside who come together to worship and pray to the Lord God! If you are only going to church to hear a sermon and then go home, you are missing out on so much! Join a church family to be encouraged and supported in these last days!
The scriptures say that we will know you by your fruit. In other words, we will know you are a Christian by the way you live your life. When you truly know and accept Jesus, your life will change. Jesus can set you free from depression, anxiety, addictions and despair. Jesus can and will bring you peace. Accept Him today as your Lord and Savior and watch your life change.
Stand strong for the Word of God! Don't be afraid to speak up and speak out on anything that goes against His Word. Have courage to do all that He asks you to do! Work wholeheartedly for The Lord!
In times of despair, turn to the Lord your God! Cry out to Him and then remember who He is and what He said He would do! Trust in the Lord your God! He will never break His promises to you!

Jesus warned us of wars and rumors of wars and told us not to be alarmed. Stand strong and trust in the power of the Lord God Almighty! We cannot lean into our own understanding but live everyday in faith and hope!

There is a wonderful story in Matthew about a donkey and her colt being tied in a location ahead of Jesus and His disciples. The Lord knew where they were and sent two disciples to untie them and bring them to Him. He needed them. Are you tied up in a particular area of your life? The Lord can untie you. He needs you and can set you free.
Look around at all the things that God has provided for you. When we tithe our money, we have to remember it's His money that He gave us in the first place! We are all just renters on this earth until He calls us home! Give thanks everyday at all His great blessings on your life.
If you ever feel down and discouraged, remember all that the Lord your God has done for you! He will always love us and forgive us whenever we forget all of His great promises!
Who was this King David who was known as a man after God's own heart? What can we learn from him? One thing is clear: tho he sinned, David repented of his sins and turned to God for forgiveness. The Lord knows our hearts, loves us and wants us to come to Him. Let us be known as women and men after God's own heart.
What behaviors hinder our prayers and petitions to God? We must make a conscious effort to live in a manner that strengthens our relationship with God so that our prayers are not hindered but presented before the throne of The Almighty.
