Jesus taught us the important things of heaven. I learned that it is not in material things but in the souls we touch for His glory every single day.
God's Word is critical to remind us that He is still on the throne! He prohibits and allows! Our job is to have faith to believe that no matter what happens to us, He will be with us.
Six days God labored but on the seventh day, He rested. This is an example for us to honor Him by resting in Him on that day. Put down your cell phones. Stop scrolling on social media. Spend time in silence drawing closer to the One who created you and loves you enough to want you to rest!
No matter what happens on this earth, when you belong to Jesus, you will have divine protection right through the gates of heaven!
God has called each of us to expand His kingdom here on earth! He wants none to perish! Use your gifts! Follow your passion! Do not be afraid! Stand up! Do good and speak the truth in love!
The Bible tells us that dark days are ahead of us but we are to stand firm and continue to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ! God wants none to perish! Do not be afraid! Do not shrink back! We have limited time on this earth and every day - every hour - every minute counts!
Remember when you face trials in this life, you will not face them alone! Your God will be with you. He will never forsake you. Do not be afraid. He will come to you.
Sometimes the end of the earth may be your own back yard. There are many who do not read the Bible but will read us. It's time to step up. Be bold and always speak the truth in love.
You can rest assured that God is present in your life! With the joy of the seasons, compassion of friends and even the purr of your cat, life is living! Alive all around you! His love and His presence surround you every single day!
No matter what you are facing, never forget the character of God! He loves you and will work all things to your good when you love Him and live to serve Him!
We know that things can happen to us on this earth quickly without warning. Never forget spiritual attacks can come the same way! In the blink of an eye! Stay prayed up and well versed on the scriptures so you will be prepared for whatever the future may suddenly bring to you!
Never be afraid if confronted when speaking about Christ! The Lord will be with you and give you courage to speak His truth!
It is true that suffering can produce perseverance bringing with it hope! Never forget wonderful things can happen to you in the desert of your life!
Remember Satan's time is short and is will try to sabotage your journey to grow closer to Christ. Keep your eyes above focusing on the goodness of Jesus! Keep doing the next right thing and know that God will never leave or forsake you!
Look around at what God has given you and do not focus on what you think you have lost. Remember He is the God of 'new things' and loves you beyond your understanding.
Give thanks to God for all the times He has rescued you from situations that were not in your best interest! Have faith in His righteousness! Believe in His promises! Our God is faithful and true! He will protect, guide and comfort you!
God's Word will bring you promises and peace! Get into His message written just for you!
Lord, let me live in such a way that honors You. Never let me do or say anything that would cause someone to fall away from You!
It is a promise of God! When you turn to Him and ask for forgiveness, it will be done! Every single time!
How often do we question whether God can deliver on our prayer requests? Pray for God's will to be fulfilled in your life and it will be done!
Remember the angel who appeared to Daniel? He reminded Daniel that God did indeed hear his prayers. I'm here today to remind you that He indeed hears YOURS! Never stop praying and believing in The Lord your God!
You don't need a seminary degree to proclaim the Word of the Lord! You are worthy! God has chosen YOU to be His hands and feet working to show people His profound love and compassion. You, my friend, are worthy indeed!
We are driven by our feelings. We often don't feel like getting up, going to work or cleaning up our house! The worst is not 'feeling' God. Do not beat yourself up! Be still and wait on the Lord! Set special times for Him. Pray throughout the day! Memorize scriptures and reach out to the body of Christ for the reminder of God's promises! The Lord is with you and will never leave you! That is His promise and the scriptures cannot be broken!
The story of the persistent widow in Luke 18 reveals that God does indeed hear our prayers. He is a God of justice and compassion. And with all He gives to us, will He find faith when He returns to earth? Yes, Lord! Let it be so that you find it with me!
Don't forget the story of Job who had no clue at the back story of why he lost everything. And while he didn't feel God, he knew Him and trusted Him. The next time you don't 'feel' God, you just remember who He is and what He said! He will never leave you or forsake you! That is His promise to you and He will not break His promise!
The beautiful story of the disciples going back to their old fishing profession after Jesus had been resurrected has powerful lessons for each of us. Do you love Him more than your work, career or profession?
We must be forever vigilant to Satan's schemes to defeat our purpose on earth. Pray against any darkness, strongholds, witchcraft and demonic forces that come against you or your family! Bu do not be afraid for Satan will be defeated in the end! Our Lord Christ reigns!
If you want to hear from God, get into His Word! I know He speaks through nature, friends, sermons and even podcasts. But when you get into His written Word , He will speak to your heart! The Bible is not about God. It is from God directly to YOU!
There are millions who believe in Jesus in their heads, but do not follow Him with their hearts. When He returns, will He find faith? Where is your faith? Today is the day to submit to Him as your Lord and Savior! You are forgiven! His grace is limitless. May He find you faithful when He returns,
What if today was your last day? Live each and everyday as if it were your last! Praise God for all His blessings! Praise Him for your health, home, friends, family and work! Give thanks in all circumstances for it is God's will for you in Christ Jesus!
Live each day joyfully for all God has given you! Be grateful for all that you have in your life right now! In an instant, it can be taken away. Don't miss the wonderful life you have right now!
There are times when we don't 'feel' God but by His promises He will with us and will never leave us!
God is true to His Word! He has given you His Holy Spirit to guide every decision in your life!
We catch Abraham once more being fearful and not trusting God to protect him and his wife! He lied once again this time to a king about Sarah being his sister. The king had no clue so God protected the king and did not punish him. If you find yourself in a terrible situation and you are blameless, your God will also protect you.
Abram had such faith in God that he packed up his family and all his belongings and headed into a land he did not know! And yet fear caused him to lie to Pharaoh about his wife. Stand firm in your faith,. Do not be afraid. God will protect and keep you and will never break His promises to you.
We have many opportunities to make decisions in life . Sometimes our decisions not only affect us but also other people. Be careful of greed. Always consider how your decision may affect someone else.
We live in a 'microwave' society expecting everything to be done for us at once! God's timing is so different from our timing! You have been given the gift of patience! Wait on The Lord! He will be right on time!
Just as God listened to Abraham, God is listening to you. Get into His Word and stand on His promises! He hears you and will not break His promise to you!
There will be times in your life when people come against you. Pray for them as much as you pray for the people who support you. The Lord sees everything that is going on in your life. Show people your faith in His Will and in His Word in good times and in hard times.
If you've ever lost a pet, you know the pain and loss of a great love. But God is faithful and in His wisdom turns all things to your good. Just as He promised!
You will know it is The Lord's voice when His direction follows Biblical teachings! He will lead you into compassion, peace and truth!
With all of the temptations in life, pray for God's direction and wait on The Lord for His answer.
No earthly possessions or relationships can replace the joy of knowing God in your heart!
When there is trouble all around and you feel heaven is silent, never stop praying. Your God is faithful and hears your prayers!
So many sermons and podcasts focus on our needs and wants. The content too often focuses on our purpose. And, while all that is good, what about God? Don't lose your focus in this world. All that matters is Him.
One day, we will see the majesty of God and the glory of His kingdom. We will then realize the privilege of praying to our creator and King. That privilege was granted to us by the sacrifice of His dear Son. Never take for granted the grace that has been given to you.
God has always loved His people even when they turned from Him and followed their evil ways. His love for us is profound. His grace and mercy continue to pour out in our lives. Forgive us Lord for following the culture of the world. Return us to Your grace. Thank you for your unfailing love.
We live in a microwave society expecting everything at once. The Bible tells us that with The Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day. Lord, increase our faith to trust in Your perfect will for our lives. Teach us to wait believing that the scriptures are true.
Just as King Josiah did what was right in the eyes of The Lord, we too much take a stand against evil. You have been called to make a difference in this world! You are appointed to be His light in the darkness! Stand firm when God calls.
Sometimes God speaks to us and we have to wait for the revelation of His Words. Remember to allow yourself to be covered in His great love and expect elaborate spaces to work for His kingdom.
Moses was a powerful man of God and yet doubted God when He called Him to free His people from captivity. Do not doubt God's power and ability when He calls you to your purpose! Be strong and courageous knowing that with God behind you, there will be nothing and no one to stop you.
Too many people are trapped in the trauma of their past. Yet God loves you and lives to liberate you! Break out of your chains! You are precious to Him and His kingdom! "....The Lord comforts His people and will have compassion on His afflicted ones." Isaiah 49:13
It's not easy living as a Christian in this world today. Christianity is not for the weak. But our God asks us to set ourselves apart for Him. We are in this world but not of it! Be strong and courageous. Understand when you walk with The Lord, you will never be alone and your heavenly reward will be great.
What are the treasures that you are building up in heaven that cannot be destroyed on earth? Pray and ask The Lord to show you what matters to Him. Ask Him to teach you those things that are eternal and will never perish.
When God speaks, believe Him! He is faithful and true! Never doubt and stand on His promises! The scriptures cannot be broken!
The Lord knows your situation! He sees what you're going through! Pray boldly in humility seeking His understanding. You will receive your answer because The Lord hears your prayers.
To be born again is to leave your old life behind and start a new life in Jesus! Listen for the Spirit of God to speak to you! He will speak and He will guide you into becoming all He has created you to be!
How can we make God rich when we have nothing and He is the creator of everything in heaven and on earth? We can add to His wealth by capturing lost souls for the kingdom! Go out today and spread the good news of His unlimited and unconditional love!
Just as God chose the shepherds in the fields to announce the birth of His Son, He has also chosen YOU to help spread the good news of His great redemptive love. Let 2024 be the year that you follow the calling of God on your life! May this coming year be the year of loving one another and forgiving others just as we have been forgiven! May you have a Happy and Blessed New Year!
It's during the hard times in my life that my mind goes quickly to The Lord! The Bible tells us that He is close to those whose hearts are broken. Learn to give Him praise in dark times knowing that He will bring you closer to Him.
The Bible tells us that Jesus Himself took time alone to pray to His Father. Are you taking time to be with The Lord? Be still and know that He is God. Take time to speak to Him and to listen for His voice. It is a sure way to find peace in this fast paced world.
We learn from the Bible that an angel of The Lord gave Samson's mother specific instructions on how to live her life during her pregnancy. Healthy and holy guidelines are also essential for you. Thank you Lord, for reminding us how our lives not only affect those in our presence but also the unborn in our bodies.
Each of us, like Samson in the Biblical days, have been set apart for the glory of God. While we may not see the fruit of our work, we will reap our reward in heaven!
How many times do we make decisions without consulting God for His guidance? Look back over your life and the decisions you made with and without Him. Let that be a guide for your future! Always consult with The Lord!
We take no credit! All of our victories come from The Lord! Praise Him for all the miracles in your life!
Never be ashamed to share your testimony of how God delivered you from your wilderness. You may be the very vessel that God will use to seed and water someone He is preparing for heaven!
While the church slept, many of our seminaries and universities filled up with professors who did not and do not believe in God's written Word on the page! Wake up church! It's time to take a stand for Christ!
Let us live our lives following Jesus so that we will never hear Him say, "I never knew you". Lord, we need Your guidance, Your Spirit, Your will and Your way to follow You in this life. May we commit our lives and surrender all to Your glory! May we live a life that You would call us Your friend.
God will speak to you through His written Word on the page! Every time you open your Bible, He speaks! Commit your life to His teachings! Watch your life change when your heart listens for His voice and you surrender to His instructions!
David fought the giant Goliath with the spiritual armor of God! His faith and courage should be an inspiration to all of us! We must remember that all of our battles belong to the Lord!
Just like God guided Paul and his companions; he will also guide you! Live by faith knowing that your steps are ordained by The Lord!

Sometimes God may lead you into the desert of your life in order to show you His tenderness. Trust God. The desert may be just the place where your life begins.

Honi, the circle maker, is a marvelous story told to me by Mark Batterson and detailed in his book, 'The Circle Maker'. The story is a testimony of the power of one man's prayers that changed the course of history. Never underestimate the power of your prayers.
Typically our prayers are all about us. We start to pray immediately without waiting on the presence of The Lord. Wait on The Lord and when you come to the place of experiencing His presence, then speak your petitions. Pray with the expectation that He hears you and in His perfect timing, He will answer you.
When you read of all the strict rules and requirements in the Old Testament, you will come to realize these rules were set in place because God loves us! He wanted His chosen people to be set apart from the pagan nations that surrounded them. All because He cared so much about them. Just as He cares about us today!
Wisdom from heaven is pure, peace loving, considerate, full of mercy and sincere. People will know us by our behaviors. Let them see that we get our wisdom from heaven and not the ruler of this world.
The Lord is doing a new thing in your life! Don't look back! Let go of every stronghold in your life that is preventing you from becoming who He has created you to be! Your life is about to change. Do you not perceive it?
God gave Paul a thorn in his flesh to keep him from becoming proud and conceited. Sometimes a thorn in the flesh isn't a physical ailment but it can be a heartbreak or betrayal to bring you back to the Lord your God! Give thanks that when you are weak - God's strength will manifest in you!
In becoming more like Jesus, wouldn't our circumstances also need to be more like what He faced? If He was betrayed, why wouldn't we be betrayed? Doesn't trouble build our perseverance which builds character which leads to hope? Don't give up! Every trial will mold and refine us to become more like Jesus!
There are so many mysteries in the Bible and yet when you study the old and new Testaments, God will show you who He is!
I have prayed for people that I know I have hurt in my life. Perhaps someone out there is praying forgiveness for hurting me and for you. We must forgive as Christ has forgiven us.

Being 'straight' is not a fruit of the Spirit - self control is. That same thought applies to sobriety or abstinence from smoking, pornography or extramarital affairs. Neither are fruits of the Spirit but self control is. Jesus can set you free from any sin in your life. What you cannot do for yourself, He has the power to do in you and for you.
My worship life has changed ever since I attended revival at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. I realized, through these young people, that we are not the audience in church. God is our audience. Is He pleased with our hearts and minds? Do we give Him our full attention in the service of worship and praise? Thank you Lord for showing me what true worship looks like! Thank you for moving through young students to teach us old folks how to worship!
God wanted bitter herbs to be served alongside the lamb for Passover. He did this to remind us that there is no salvation without suffering. This is so true in my life. Only in suffering, betrayal, loneliness and pain did I find Jesus. When everyone walked out of my life, Jesus walked in. Pain has great value and God will use it to draw you even closer to His Son.
Revival not only consists of praise and worship; it also includes our turning from a life of sin! True revival leads to a transformed life. How blessed we are that Christ died to forgive us of our sins and welcomes us into eternal life!
The Lord is about to do something new in your life! Get ready! There will be no one and nothing to stop you!
It is critical to create a quiet place to hear the voice of The Lord. You may have to get up early or stay up late but find that place in your home, work or even in your car to be still and know that He is God.

I had struggled with the word 'faith' until God opened a deeper meaning with the translation of the word 'faith' to 'trust'! Do I have faith? You bet I do because I trust Him! Don't limit yourself to one version of His Word. Dig deeper into the rich historical meanings of His Word on the page! Your life will be richer for it!
Is there anything in our lives that comes between us and a relationship with God? Does unrepentant sin hinder our prayers?
Don't get caught up in where and what time to worship the Father. instead, worship Him throughout each day! Stand on His promises and stay in His Word to know His truth!
God may remove you from life's distractions and bring you into a place of stillness so that you can hear what you could not hear before. In the desert of your life, He will speak to you, lead and guide you to become the person He has created you to be.
Everybody today has their own truth. All this does is lead to confusion and chaos. The only truth is the Word of God. When in doubt, turn to His Word. His truth will stand for eternity and the scriptures cannot be broken.
Alcohol, drugs, food and even relationships will not fill the loneliness in your heart. God has placed etrnity in your heart Only He can fill that empty space in your life.
Look no further than God's written Word to discover how to find peace in this world today! Trust God! Keep your eyes focused on heaven! Listen for His Holy Spirit to guide you each and every day! You will experience the peace that only comes from Jesus! Amen and Amen!
When you face a difficult person or situation, remember that you represent The Lord! There will be a sharp contrast with your behavior and the ways of the world! Let people see your kindness, grace, compassion and mercy! Be strong and courageous as you advance the kingdom of God! He will be with you. He will not send you out alone!
No matter what challenges I face in life, God always shows up in a mighty way to help me through it! Never lose faith! Believe what God says! He never breaks His promises to you!
Be aware that when you speak God's written truth, some people will push back against you. Be strong and courageous and never be afraid to speak the truth in love.
In times of loss, follow the example of Jesus. When John the Baptist was killed, Jesus withdrew to a solitary place where I expect He prayed and leaned into God for support and comfort. But then, when He saw the crowds that followed Him, He had compassion on them and healed them. We can learn from His example. In times of sorrow, pray to God for comfort and then share that comfort with those in need around you.
There is such turmoil in the world today and so many of us fear the unknown in our lives. Seek first to know Jesus. Seek His will for your life. By having a relationship with Him and staying in His will can bring peace and comfort to your soul.
There is a wonderful book 'The Practice of the Presence of God' by Brother Lawrence that has given me a deeper insight of living and moving with God throughout my day. Let us go throughout our days in thanks and praise for His loving compassion and care for each of us Let us always be aware of the presence of God.
So many times, we don't understand what is happening to us. When we don't hear from God, know that He hears us. Get into His Word. Read and remember His promises to you. And always, stay in His perfect will.
If ever in doubt, get into the scriptures. God's written Word on the page was intended to remind you of things to come so that you never forget!
If ever you doubt God, get outside and look at all the beautiful and majestic seasons, colors and sounds of His creations. He has left that testimony of Himself for you and for me!
Over tithes and offerings, God desires our hearts. The scriptures tell us that to do good, share with others, confess and praise the name of our Lord Jesus Christ are the sacrifices that most please God. Hebrews 13:17
God warned Ezekiel that he would hold him accountable if he did not rebuke the sins of man. We can be silent no more. We will be held accountable.
We claim to be Christians and yet live in fear and insecurity. We have the form of godliness buy deny its power. It's time to stand on God's Word and live out the life He fully intended for us. Believe in His promises! Live in and with His great power in your life!
I have never felt more that God is calling us to speak the truth in love! We are to speak light into darkness. Just as God told Paul not to be afraid but keep spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, He is also calling on us to do the same. We are not alone. God is with us.
Good works or following certain rules won't get us into heaven! We must love God with all our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves! Accept God's Son as your savior. Repent and turn from anything in your life that pulls you away from the holiness of God.
The Lord desires our hearts over any tithes and offerings. He wants a relationship with each of us so He can share His great love and compassion. In return, He asks that we praise and thank Him! Let us live as examples of a people of faith!
If you ever hear 'You're no good." or "You can't do anything right." - know in your heart and mind that it is not from the Lord your God. The Lord loves you. You are wonderfully made in His sight. Speak out against any darkness that tries to separate you from God!
Pray for the courage to be strong and stand up for the Word of God! He will hold each of us accountable.
We live in a troubled world but make no mistake, we were chosen to live for such a time as this! God has placed us here to help spread the good news of Jesus Christ! How blessed we are that He trusts us!
Remember in these last days to stand firm in the righteousness of The Lord! Stand firm if you have to stand alone! The majority can be wrong. Do not be lead astray but keep steady by believing in the Word of God!
Anytime you begin to doubt the Lord your God, remember all the wonderful miracles He has already performed in your life! Look back and see that the Lord has been good to you! Never doubt! He will never stop loving you!
Never lose hope in what God has promised you! He will never break His promise to you! He loves you and will always be with you!
When you live a life of sin, how does it benefit you? What good comes from living out of the will of God? I can tell you from personal experience, I did not benefit one single thing from a life of sin. Stay in the will of God to discover true peace and joy!
Like Jonah, if we run from God, Satan will always be there to help us alone! No prosperity, peace or purpose will ever come to a life without God. Stay in God's will and obey His commands. Greater is He in us than he who is in this world!
There is a reason that we were born at this time and in this place. God chose those whom He could trust to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. He know there would be such a time as this. Consider yourselves His chosen ones!
My prayer is that God would call each of us His friends. It is my hope that by His knowing our hearts, He would call us 'righteous'. Lord, we live to repent from our sins and follow you until you take us all home!
The scriptures tell us to be vigilant as there will be false teachers to lead us astray! Stay alert and always be in the Word of God to know His will and His ways for your life!
Are we so insignificant in our fight to spread the gospel that the demons don't even know our names? I pray that they tremble at the thought of us getting up and heading out the door! Lord, give us courage to fight the good fight! We will never stop fighting for you!
The Apostle Paul was willing to be bound in chains for the salvation of Israel. Are we willing to suffer the consequences of spreading the gospel for the salvation of our fellow man? Lord, we pray so! Give us the strength to shine your light in the darkest of places! We are willing to do the work!
Our nation is in a moral free fall. Just like the ancient prophet, Elijah, we must stand courageously and speak the Word of God! We can no longer be complacent and say nothing about what is happening to our children in our schools. Be a modern day Elijah and speak light into darkness! Even if you stand alone, take a stand for God's truth!
Don't think of the church as a building but think of it as the people inside who come together to worship and pray to the Lord God! If you are only going to church to hear a sermon and then go home, you are missing out on so much! Join a church family to be encouraged and supported in these last days!
The scriptures say that we will know you by your fruit. In other words, we will know you are a Christian by the way you live your life. When you truly know and accept Jesus, your life will change. Jesus can set you free from depression, anxiety, addictions and despair. Jesus can and will bring you peace. Accept Him today as your Lord and Savior and watch your life change.
Stand strong for the Word of God! Don't be afraid to speak up and speak out on anything that goes against His Word. Have courage to do all that He asks you to do! Work wholeheartedly for The Lord!
In times of despair, turn to the Lord your God! Cry out to Him and then remember who He is and what He said He would do! Trust in the Lord your God! He will never break His promises to you!
When you put your trust in Jesus, His perfect peace comes into your heart. Trust in the Lord your God.
Do not let anyone convince you that all ways lead to heaven. The Bible is clear that Jesus is the only way to the Father. We must pray for all those to know this great sacrifice and ever lasting love.
Jesus warned us of wars and rumors of wars and told us not to be alarmed. Stand strong and trust in the power of the Lord God Almighty! We cannot lean into our own understanding but live everyday in faith and hope!
Just as the Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples - let it fall upon us! Lord, send us out to speak in a language that your people can understand! And let us be of one accord as we love and build Your church!
There is a wonderful story in Matthew about a donkey and her colt being tied in a location ahead of Jesus and His disciples. The Lord knew where they were and sent two disciples to untie them and bring them to Him. He needed them. Are you tied up in a particular area of your life? The Lord can untie you. He needs you and can set you free.
Look around at all the things that God has provided for you. When we tithe our money, we have to remember it's His money that He gave us in the first place! We are all just renters on this earth until He calls us home! Give thanks everyday at all His great blessings on your life.
If you ever feel down and discouraged, remember all that the Lord your God has done for you! He will always love us and forgive us whenever we forget all of His great promises!
Who was this King David who was known as a man after God's own heart? What can we learn from him? One thing is clear: tho he sinned, David repented of his sins and turned to God for forgiveness. The Lord knows our hearts, loves us and wants us to come to Him. Let us be known as women and men after God's own heart.
What behaviors hinder our prayers and petitions to God? We must make a conscious effort to live in a manner that strengthens our relationship with God so that our prayers are not hindered but presented before the throne of The Almighty.
