won't truly comprehend all of the dangers of God's vacuum until we're as advanced as those

pesky Vulcans. Whether they're science fiction (Enemy Mine, Pitch Black, Moon) or based on

actual events (Apollo 13), there have been some interesting movies on the subject. I wonder

though, why isn't there more (or any) anti-gravity sex in those movies? Come on, that's a

market that could definitely be "tapped" into. I mean the sex puns could be endless (astro

I have been aboard the Vin Diesel fan train for quite awhile now. Films like Pitch Black, Boiler Room, The Fast and the Furious, Knockaround Guys, and XXX, showed that he had the range and screen presence to be the next big action star. Then something odd happened, his Hollywood credit rose and he started to appear in a strange mix of films; The dark and heavy A Man Apart (2003), the over-bloated The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), the family friendly The Pacifier (2005), the good but out of place Find Me Guilty (2006), and the boring and pointless Babylon A.D. (2008). For that time, it seemed almost as if he picked the films that interested him and less what interested his fans. More power to him for doing what he wants but as a fan, I wish he could have picked some better scripts. Nowadays, it looks like he's been catering to the Fast Furious crowds above all else. Personally, I'd like to see Xander Cage (XXX) and Riddick again. Let Dominic Toretto take a break. Whether you love him or hate him, Vin Diesel's stardom has been an odd one to say the least and he's got plenty more of odd decision making left in him.

Attack on Titan

Even though I've tried to give anime a chance by watching it, I have never really gotten into

it. Maybe it's the culture clash? Maybe it's the big stupid eyes and constant giggling? Hell,

maybe it's the underlying tone of pedophilia that's in a large amount of anime? If you don't

know what I mean, than you're probably one of those perverts (LOL). Things like Pokemon,

Dragon Balls (Z), Naruto, and Black Butler, just don't appeal to me in any way. But there are

a few that have grabbed my attention. Shows like Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Soul Eater, and of

course, Attack on Titan, found a way to sneak themselves onto my thumbs up list. Shows like

that have a multitude of attributes to separate them from the rest; Cool concepts, lovable

characters, original ideas, and a good balance between action, humor, and drama. Now being

the humble guy that I am, I admit that I know next to nothing about anime. I wouldn't doubt

if there are even better shows and films out there than I've seen. But probably also worse.

And when in the hell are they going to do a live action remake of Fist of the North Star?

That would be epic. Just as long as Keanu Reeves isn't cast as Kenshiro.

Another entry into the zombedy genre is, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse; A funny and sometimes hilarious undead film that never takes itself too seriously. It reminds me of Superbad and Can't Hardly Wait with carnivorous cadavers thrown in to make things for the three protagonist virgins even more difficult than just acne, sporadic boners, and uncontrollable flatulence. That's what I like about this movie; There's a good balance between teen angst and zombie related shenanigans. The film also gets better as it progresses. Very little time is wasted on the characters worrying about their normal problems instead, those problems get interwoven into their zombie thrashing. As impossible as it may seem, there are actually a few original ideas in this movie. I guess there are still some ideas left in the apocalypse to be fleshed out. But on the flip side of that coin, the story is not much different than other zombie fare. It's sort of like a campy version of The Crazies (2010); The town's going nuts, we gotta find our loved ones, we gotta get out of here, take a selfie with a topless undead stripper, the military gets involved, etc. Yet it's all worth the price of admission because this film is funny and even, hilarious. There's dick jokes, pratfalls, and beautiful women who kick ass. Well, only one kicks ass and the others just look cute while smiling and texting.
