Perspective - it's good to have it as we reflect on our tough decisions this week re: were we right to FH or not to FH and compare to other things happening right now. A shared fear between Zinchenko and Mykolenko as well as the return of Christian Eriksen the real life talking points.

So Chelsea clean sheet wiped out, Lukaku with no returns, Ronaldo on the bench. Salah being Salah.
It was an eventful week even if the scores perhaps did not reflect it.
We take a look at the gameweek in review, it appears the wildcarders did not get back to back victories this week bar a few punts on Chilwell and Azpi, maybe Jimenez (although Hwang stole the show).
CY hit wildcard at 10.30am on Saturday for a 2 point gain, Baker is now on Wildcard for the IB. Lots to talk about there.
This is where the season really starts, planning for 20+ GW's - bring it on.

What a rubbish weekend...
AJ mud, Golf mud, Spurs mud, FPL just tinkering on mud.
The only saving grace was that 4 goals in the NLD meant Macmillan received £20 from us, which can only be a good thing.
So, back to the subject at hand. We tried to cover the GW as objectively as possible. Are the early wildcarders now starting to see their fresh tyres yield them an advantage? Usual ramble through the GW and looked ahead to a very difficult set of fixtures this week coming.

Hope everyone is enjoying the IB, certainly a lot of things happening impacting our decisions for GW4 not least with CR7 being released early after (purposely?) getting booked following becoming the all time leading International Goalscorer despite missing a penalty! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?
Anyway. We've mixed it up this week with a People's Podcast inviting three guys for a chat, two of which are relatively new to the community themselves to get some different viewpoints on how they play the game. It's great getting the big accounts on from time to time but we wanted to do something different, and we're glad we did!
The usual topics came up re: Wildcard with 2/5 of us basically on it and 3 of us holding firm with transfers in hand. Lukaku, CR7, fixture swings etc. Was a good chat.

Gameweek Three is done and we are maintaining rank nicely between us despite having two very different team setups and captains.
The main question as we enter the IB....is it time to Wildcard and are we looking at this just for the purpose of getting in the likes of Ronaldo and Lukaku? Do we need to rush in to it or is our team structure at a point where we can observe for a few weeks?
Some other takeaways from GW3 and more about GW4 next week when we debut our People's Pod.
In terms of the Pod League Jason Schwabe leads the way and takes August Manager of the Month and FPLReuser smashed us in the Predictor (tweet will show that quite clearly), we've got some work to do.

We were joined this week by Garth (FPLShark) who is UK born living it up in Canada doing the early shift to keep his rank up high. Garth talks us through his data overload and technical eye test (as a football coach) and how overcoming his bias has rocketed his OR. The man wants to win it, we couldn't find any reasons to go against that. A great chat for sure.
In other news... CY was begrudging bad decisions gone by, whether it was Abraham, Maddison or for some reason not having Stones and going with Cancelo/Dias despite the entirety of FPL Twitter going with Stones plus one of those two.

So the madness continues...
The focus is still very much on BGW18 with a few snippets of DGW19 with the fun of Leeds v Southampton likely to be removed and also DGW26/BGW29.

Happy New Year to you all. I think we can all agree 2020 will go in to the history books for all the wrong reasons, not least because Liverpool won the league...
In all seriousness we're back amongst it after a small hiatus over the festive period, we promised content and didn't deliver (apologies). Just like CY's team over the same timescale.

A real mixed bag watching Tottenham lose a three goal lead in the final 8 minutes only helped by the fact we had Kane and Son between us.
Not our most structured effort this week but some good conversation on defensive mindset, albeit not the most exciting part of the FPL game, but could be key to differentiate yourselves from the rest.
GW6 is just around the corner, good luck!
This week we look at the fixtures for GW5 ahead of getting proper football back, at least for 3.5 weeks anyway.

With 10 days since the last episode we’ve made numerous changes and have had some differing (but also many similar) thoughts. We look at transfers impacting choices with Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton all making moves. We talk about how the International break has gone and also run through our current GW1 squads.
