More about Coach Zweig:

Jake Zweig earned a master’s of business administration from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s of science in computer science from the U.S. Naval Academy. Episode 11 – Why Voting Matters - It's not an every 4 Year Thing
Welcome back to The One Big Village Podcast. In this Week Episode Coach Kanye will connect with a former classmate and friend Tiffany Davis (the engineer turned politician) to explain why Voting is not just EVERY 4 YEAR THING. Tiffany Davis - Wayne County Precinct Delegate, MI Dem Party Training & Voting Rights Activist
We will talk about the supreme court judges, attorney generals, and the impact on voting on the Breonna Taylor Case VOTING MATTERS all the time.
In 2000, Al Gore narrowly lost the Electoral College vote to George W. Bush. The election came down to a recount in Florida, where Bush had won the popular vote by such a small margin that it triggered an automatic recount and a Supreme Court case (Bush v. Gore). In the end, Bush won Florida by 0.009 percent of the votes cast in the state or 537 votes. Had 600 more pro-Gore voters gone to the polls in Florida that November, there may have been an entirely different president from 2000–2008.

Episode 8 – Dr. Charles Bell – Child Advocacy
Welcome back to The One Big Village Podcast. This Week Episode Coach Kanye will connect with acclaimed scholar and child advocate Dr. Charles Bell - Professor of the Department of Criminal Justice Sciences (CJS) at Illinois State University.
Dr. Bell's primary research agenda focuses on understanding the structural barriers marginalized social groups experience in the education setting and how they contribute to incarceration via the school-to-prison-pipeline. His research shows school discipline has profound consequences on Black families as it exacerbates bullying and violent physical altercations, has a negative influence on achievement, school belonging, and student-teacher relationships. Additionally, his work shows Black students and their parents harbor negative perceptions of out-of-school suspension because their voices are marginalized throughout the disciplinary period, students' feel targeted for suspension based on their style of dress, hair, and music preference, and excessive school suspensions lead to "Black educational flight".
