Give it 20 years and AC will have to be standard in the UK. We're roasting. Like a chicken.B
Mate! The UK is fully in meltdown right now. Literally. We can't handle this heat. We're going to have to become one of those nations where A/C is standard. Takes me about 6 hours of set up and 2 hours of post-production to do a show. A full working day. I'm bloody knackered.B
I feel like fall is such a vibe, you know? I spent the whole weekend baking pumpkin muffins and watching ‘Hocus Pocus.’ Now I’m about to grab a PSL and go leaf-peeping. You know it’s a good day when you wake up and it smells like cinnamon. I seriously wait all year for this pumpkin spice moment. It just feels like a warm hug in a cup.OMGB
At what point do I become such an old white fart that it is actually offensive for me to talk like I'm still a 17 year old East Londoner from the 90s? What's that? About 5 years ago, you say. You're probably right. Cancel the fat prick, now.B
Yeah, them vibes. Rage on a level parred with Scarface quitting his job at His Royal Beefiness.Love you guys!B

Remember that scene in The Mask where Tina sings Gee Baby Ain't I Good To You? Yeah I was uploading this watching Cameron Diaz in another film. She was choong in Coco Bongos though.Forgot to even make a thing of the fact that this was my 13th anniversary on Sub FM. Lol.B
I think my brain has finally dried up as I can't think of any nonsense to type in here. It's only a matter of time till I wither to a dead husk.Happy Spooktober!B

BPS - Sorry for the weird scheduling, I went on a late holiday after the kids went back to school, so this is the show I would have played on the 9th Sept performed last Thursday. Enjoy :)
Programming note, my little garage addicts - no show on Sept 9th as I'll be stuffing my face and drinking cocktails by the pool.
BLLLLEEEERRRRRGGGGGHHHH
B
Look, yeah, man's from road. So I don't know how you think I'm appropriating anything.
B
Hey ho!
There's some stinkin' nasty noise in this one for you. No soap opera bootlegs in this show, but we did hit a Wii remix. So there's that.
Jam it in your side nostrils.
B
Summer is getting into full swing! So here's some swinging Garage n Bass for you. Swinging like deez.... no G, behave yourself.
B
Oh Canada! Something something land!
Hang time the poutine and maple syrup munchers on this Canada Day. This one is all you, buddehs.
Sorry
B
Did you know that hatters were considered to be mad because they spent all day breathing in mercury in the hat factory?
Lit.
B
HEY!
It's finally here. I'm off on holibobs. No, I don't care if you hate that word. I'm happy to be a basic bitch in this instance. Whatevs.
No live show on the 17th either as I'll still be away.
See you in the next one.
B
The sun's on its way, futhermuckers! I am buggering off to Egypt after the next show and I CAN'T. FRIGGING. WAIT. Get me to the pool!Oh yeah, sorry for missing Saturday's show. I was at a cock rock gig. So here's a show I picked up instead, just so I can play you music. No, really. One loveB
YO! So I ducked out of my Saturday show to visit the West Country in the UK. You'd think it'd be a cheap holiday. Next time I'm booking the freaking Canaries again.Oh yeah, I picked up a cover show. It's some GAH-RAH-HEY and BASS for you.Keep it large like a castle.B
So I had to skip my Saturday slot this time around because I was babysitting a post-op dog. (Puppy having knee surgery, not a really ugly person transitioning). So I picked up a Sunday show and did my thing. I think both live listeners really enjoyed it.Hope you do too.B
Alright Bunky Spumlovers! We're back doing it proper. Another cracking selection of the finest Garage n Bass to make you scream SMACK MY ASS AND CALL ME BESSIE.No, YOU'RE in the closet.B
Mashin' what, you ask? I dunno. But if you're using 2 hands I bet you're very popular.B

Man I am really running out of ideas for show titles. Any ideas are welcomed on a postcard.BOP THISB
It's 2023 fam! You know what that means? The date is now different to last year, and we're a little closer to the inevitable oblivion that approaches the human race.CHEERY! Good Christmas?B
It's that time of year again where I dress like a prick and clang a whole bunch of badly thought out tunes together. This year was a real festive shitshow. Um... Like and subscribe, I guess?B
Anyone been watching the millionaires have a kickabout? Didn't take long for everyone to forget about all the dead workers buried under the pitch. That got dark quickly. Better listen to some GARRIDGE M8.B
It's the time of the year in the UK that we start to set fire to shit to celebrate some nutter trying to blow up the most important political building in the country.
Exciting.
B
Look over here! Excuse me, I would like to extend to you, an invitation to the Pants Party. The party. The pants. Party with the pants?
See you there.
B
The nights are starting to get shorter. Make the most of it. Summer is winding down. Get a load of these summer bangers. Everybody wants an anthem.

Easy gang! Summertime in full swing. Grab a beer and check out some cracking tunes.

B
I'm back, bitches!
Lost my tan already. I had a nice trip, but now wrestle with the consciousness of cultural appropriation.
Oh well.
B
Mate!
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year in the UK. We don't normally see temperatures in the 30s. It was absolutely gorgeous. Then today it dropped again and started raining. I would have been bothered if I weren't about TO FUCK RIGHT OFF TO THE CARRIBEAN.
So yeah, no show for 4 weeks. Miss you already x
B
After 4 weeks out, it's the return of the king. I couldn't make last show due to life events, but we're back in the hot seat showcasing the latest and greatest Garage n Bass.
Hope you missed me.
B
Mate. I'm falling asleep writing this. Proper Uncle Bucked. I was a little worse for wear this show due to a cold. Soldiered on and did my best. I hope it's listenable.
Thanks gang.
B
<pleasant greeting>
<generic hype text>

Yeah I dunno what the hell I'm on about either.
One love
B
It's the end of this shitshow of a year! Christmas is upon us. So I thought I'd do you a change from the nom and mix it up a bit. Did some crate digging to give you a nice variety of tunes from over the ages.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I'll see you all in 2022.
Peace
B
YES MY FAMILY!
I was on it today. Randomness a gwarn. Lots of switch ups. I always enjoy those cross-genre mixes.
Stick this in your Sony Walkman, pump up your Reeboks and hit play.
Love you long time for ten dolla,
B
So lots of things are going whizz and bang right about now as it's the night we call Fireworks Night in jolly ol' England. The night we creatively named to celebrate the fact that Guy Fawkes COULDN'T blow up the Houses of Parliament, by blowing up loads of shit. It's like HA HA YOU MUG THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE STUFF EXPLODE.
I've never got it, really.
Oh yeah, I play some songs in this episode. Hope that's not a surprise.
BOOM!
B
So I'm back from holibobs and decided to do 4 hours of mixing this Saturday. Hours 3 & 4 were my actual Sub FM show. Yeah, that was fun being on my feet for that long. I don't know how EZ does it.
Anyway, I do my best to still deliver you a savage 2 hours filled with the latest and greatest from my favourite microgenre.
1 luv

So I went missing last show. I know. I wanted a break. So I buggered off to the Canaries for some sunshine by the pool in October. It was the nuts, if you were wondering. So that meant coming back to 4 weeks of music that I hadn’t listened to. My gosh. Drove me insane. Anyway, it meant there was a shitton of fresh music I wanted to share with you. My solution was to do 2 mixes on the same day. I know, right?
Here’s the first one, which I mixed live to a very underwhelmed Reddit. Anyway, check it out, and you’ll have another episode super soon.
Big up
B
Blaaaady 'ell Rodney. There's enough bass on that to kick your back door off its hinges.
Pump it up
B
Hi peeps,
How's life tickling ya? Summer's petering out here in the UK and it's pretty depressing. I'm desperately trying to find a winter sun holiday but do I REALLY want to spunk all that dough on a holiday? First world problems.
Hope your world is good also! And if it isn't, I hope it is soon.
Kugs and hisses,
B
Hollllaaaaaa! Ain't no stopping me.
Except all these songs are copywritten, please don't 3 strike me.
On top of my burger, I like cheese. This terrible rhyme is why I'm no MC.
Peace out
B
WHOMP WHOMP WUuUuUuUuUuUuUuUuU
Just adding a bassline into this podcast description. Not that this episode is short of bass. Pump this one up LOUD.
Whomp.
B
Hey! I don't care if your ring is red, black, blue, yellow or green, I this one is for you. Got the usual selection of 2-step vibes, 4x4 goodness, and some bassy leng that will leave you needing facial reconstruction.
No medical bills please.
Big up
B
EY YO!
Had mad fun today. I love that every show I can play a different 2 solid hours of music and it all still sounds lively. So much great talent out there. Hope you're on board with this week's show.
All aboard!
B
What the fudge has the title got to do with this show?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Big up
B
Heyo!
Enjoyed myself recording this one. Lots of lateness and greatness. Fill your ears and sooth your soul.
Don't forget to check out the latest episode of In The Garage with Phonetix + BrainZ, over at https://intheukgarage.com

B
Yo!
So we had some technicals at the start of the show. It meant I had to reboot my Mac Mini that had probably been continuously turned on for a few months at that point. It seemed to do the trick and we dropped a whole bunch of bangers on you.
Big ups to the patient live listeners who even came back after I missed the previous live show. Much love.
Until the next one,
B
Yo!
So lockdown is easing. People are back in the pubs and restaurants. It's all new and fun again. Here's a little show to help you celebrate on the way to your venue of choice.
Apologies this one is late. I had a very sick pup that I had to collect slap bang in the middle of my show time so I couldn't make my last live Sub.FM show. Luckily, I picked up a cheeky cover show from Mr bossman himself Whistla.
Hope you likey.
B
Yes gang!
How's it flopping? Production output has definitely come to fruition over the last 2 weeks as the shops are awash with a SHIT-TON of great music. We take a walk wall-to-wall through my favourite genre in this episode. Lots of first plays for artists on this show. Really enjoyed recording it. Hope you enjoy listening to it.
Big up all the massive.
B
So the sun's out. It's properly starting to get me hype for the summer. Unfortunately more employed for this summer than the last so I won't be enjoying it as much as last year, but as everywhere slowly starts to open back up in the UK we can say things are looking up.
Mask up, stay safe, get vaccinated, I love you
B
This week has been exhausting. I've been chasing a puppy around and I really hoping it runs out of creative ways of pissing on my carpet soon.
I barely managed to get a show together in time. I made sure to still dedicate myself to putting together something of quality. So hope you enjoy this one. Full of bump, bass and beats.
Big it
B
YO! Warblow people deeple. The clocks are going forward tonight. It means I'm going to lose an hour's sleep. Not happy about that! That means less time to listen to riddims. Just have to do your best to squeeze in as much as this episode as possible!
And keep an eye out for mine and Phonetix's project - In The Garage With Phonetix & BrainZ. Coming soon!
Large it
B
Remember when you could drink into the early hours with friends? Remember friends? Well the UK is on a path to coming out of lockdown. Hopefully we'll all be back in the pub soon wasting our money on overpriced drinks.
Until then, I'll keep on the premium whiskey at home.
See you in rehab!
B
MATE! Talk about a polar opposite outlook of weather since the last show. I had the frigging roof down yesterday! The sun was shining, and I was getting down. Enjoyed this show. There's a nice balance of uplifting vibes and "kick to the dirtbox" bass on this one. Hope it's for you.
One love.
B
Yes fam!
It's been shitting down snow here like it's going out of fashion. -5°C vibes out here, bruv. Freezing some royal Rastafarian nay-nays off. Believe.
Well, fellow dreadlocks, you're in for a doozy. The bass at the back of the show may do you some internal damage. So be warned.
Plenty of fresh upcoming vibes also.
Big up
B
Yes kids!
So this show was a bit of a heartbreaker for me. Started out amazing. Then we ran into technicals which ultimately meant I had to drop the stream on Sub.FM. We still got the full show for all the playback massi though, so enjoy this journey of brand new bangers.
Big up
B
Here it is, kids. My selection of the Best of 2020 in Garage n Bass.
I had to boil down over 2000 tunes to just over 100. It wasn't easy, and I had to make sacrifices. But all in all, this is my selection for my favourite tunes from the past 12 months.
It runs at just over 200 minutes, so it's a marathon, not a sprint. Stick this on when you want to get some work done or grind a savage workout.
Big up your collective chests,
B
Ey yo!
How's lockdown life treating you? It's good to see there's still plenty of UKG out and about. We may be stuck indoors, but it's snowing outside here and I don't mind warming up with some pumping bass.
Best of 2020 is now live on the Patreon for subscribers! Coming in the feed for the rest of the crew soon. Keep an eye out for that. And maximum respect to the Patreoners.
Enjoy!
B
Entering into the New Year with a BANG, bruv.
Got some proper heaters for you to kick off 2021 with. Hope you enjoy this one.
LARGE UP
B
So I did it. I went digging and found a bunch of old tunes for you. The mixing was.... meh. Just enjoy the sounds of yesteryear.
Even my mic gave up for this one. Had to resort to using an old pair of headphones for the mic. Proper old school business right there.
For me, this show perfectly mirrors 2020. Had high hopes for it, but it ended up a bit of a mess.
Merry Christmas everyone. I'll see you on the other side.
B
WADDUP WADDUP WADDUP
I'm Darnell Hayes and welcome to Black Jeopardy... Hang on, I'm finally losing it. What in Zeus's butthole am I going on about? It must be quite curious to watch me lose my mind in realtime.
It's nearly Christmas. Here's some music.
One love.
B
Yes gang!
Back once again like a renegade master. Another solid show of 1st plays for me. 100% brand spanking new Garage n Bass. Hope you're feeling this one.
B
So mid-show, Biden has been called President-elect for the USA. It's the first time in my life I've been closely watching the US election. Congrats to all Americans. I really hope this sets you on a path to heal your country, both metaphorically, and literally.
That was kind of grown up. Oh dear. Let me fix that.
BLUKU BLUKU. Skenging the large riddims to your earholes this week with bangers from Downplay Records, Guau, Bowser, Urbano, Phonetix, and too many others to name.
BLUP!
B
Whodathunkit? I been doing this ting for 10 years straight on Sub.FM.
10 years ago I was living in a house share with someone I used to go to school with, I was in a job I hated working for an angry bellend, and Future Garage was just becoming all the rage. Things have changed a lot for me since then. All for the better. And this show is the one thing that's kept my passion for new music discovery alive. I have considered chucking it all in before, many times. It's difficult when your expectations are that you want to become a superstar DJ headlining every weekend. Some people have got what it takes. Most haven't. I've learnt to love what I do and be happy that I can bring the music to my little corner of the microgenre I call Garage n Bass.
Thanks for listening, guys. I love you for it.
B
HOLLA ATCHA BOY!
Here's another session mixed live on Reddit. I had a set track list up until about 2/3rds of the way through, then I went freestyle. So make of that what you will.
So much music, being served up like the ambassador distributes Ferrero Rocher.
Munch it down!
B
YOOOOOOO!
Man I had fun this week. Chat room was bubblin, bass was kicking and the drums were drummin. Hope you like!
Big love.
B
Yes gang!
So I've been feeling guilty about messing up the schedule recently. I've had a list of tunes that didn't make the cut to the main show that has been growing over the weeks. I thought I'd throw some of them out there on a Sub.FM cover show. So here's 2 hours of banging bump that should be fresh to your ears.
Enjoy!
B
Yes! Hey everyone!
Hope it's all good your end. I'm back again with an action-packed 2 hours of Garage n Bass fun.
Just want to make sure I say this - that Rudimental track is doing all sorts of stuff for me. BIG.
Maximum love to you all.
B
YO!
Wahgwarn gang. I picked up a cover show in the midweek so we can get the fresh Garage n Bass rolling again. Check out this 2 hours of fresh GnB heaters.
Hope you likey!
B
Hey gang!
I'm still on holiday, so this is a stop-gap episode of the podcast for you. Freshness soon come when I'm back, I promise.
I tried something new. This was designed to be a super bait mix, using only tunes with identifiable lyrics and noises.
The videos can be found here:
Part 1
Part 2
Not sure about this one. Would love to hear feedback!
B
Yes crew!
So I couldn't do my Sub.FM show this wee due to other commitments. Friday night was the night though. I fired up the studio equipment, jumped on Reddit, and awaited the downvotes. (Oh yeah, they came).
It's vibes o'clock right about now. Hope you're feeling this one.
Large up
B
Yes gang!
So the sunshine was here. I got to spend a few days in the paddling pool. Life is good. What always seems to follow sun, though? Yeah, thunderstorms. It's been a nit noisy the past few days. I thought I'd add to the noise with some thumpin' tunes.
Enjoy
B
Hey gang!
This show was a lot of fun. I also turned it into workout, so the video will be a bit of a horror show. Hope you enjoy the music, at least!
Nice one
B
Hey gang!
Hope you're all good. Had a fun show this week. Stick it in your ears and get your bum moving.

The pubs are open. I'm sure a lot of people are happy. All I imagine is carnage. Think I'm gonna let it calm down a bit till I risk going down the pub.
Cheers to you. Enjoy the music!
B
So for our 300th episode, I bring you something special.
Back on 23rd May I recorded a birthday set on Sub.FM. A mix of a bunch of tunes that I love, and me just mixing for fun. I enjoyed myself so much. I thought it was special enough to be crowned number 300.
Hope you enjoy this one. Big up.
B
Wassup peeps!
Back again with the freshness. Really enjoyed recording this one. Hope it comes through.
Keep an eye on the feed next week. We land episode 300! And it's a special one.

Hey guys. So the weather may have dipped in the UK but the vibe is still alive. Another fresh bag of tunes for your ears this week. Hope it's your cup o' tea.
Chars,
B
Ey yo! It's Bank Holiday Monday. So I thought - the sun's out, I'm happy, why not have a little mix?
This one is brand spanking new tunes. Hope you enjoy this one with a beer and a burger.
Out to the gang that caught Saturday's birthday show live. Had a LOT of fun. That one is currently up as a Patreon exclusive. It'll be in the main podcast feed to celebrate episode 300!
Big up your chests
B
Hey guys!
Whodathunkit? Lockdown has got producers going like crazy. There's so much new music I'd have needed at least a 5 hour show to fit it all in! Boiled it down to 2 hours of the very very best of the latest and greatest.
Enjoy the sunshine, and stay safe.
Hope you're all staying safe in the madness. Here's more music to keep you going.
One love
So we're all still stuck indoors. And typically, when no one needs it, Mr Sunshine sticks his head out. Big up the massive who are lucky enough to have a garden to chill in. To the rest of you, why not download me and take me on an exercise walk in the sun.
Stay safe
Maaaate. How do you put into the words the state of things right now? Current affairs are touching my personal life in a different way. Just know we're all safe as we can be right now. You need to take care of yourselves.
AND STAY THE FUCK INDOORS.
Here's a little mix to get you through the quarantine blues.
So this week's show landed on Leap Day! A day traditionally known for when women are allowed to suggest they bind love in a contract allowing them to take half. There's always a loophole.
Out to the pre-nup massi
And congrats if you got engaged :)
B
YES FAM!
Had so much fun recording this one, and I hope it comes across in the audio. Have some banging tunes for you to devour. Really hope it tickles your pickle.
Big it
B
Yes gang! Back once again with some hectic new music. This one got a bit dirty half way through. Hope it wiggles your waggle.
Safe wans

Here it is. A compilation of my favourite tracks from the last 12 months. 3 hours of me just having a little mix with some awesome music.
Thanks for all your support throughout the last year, and big ups for 2020.
Happy New Year my lovely lengers! Hope you had good ones. I got roped into beer pong... again. Every bloody year.

It's that time of year, kids. And I love it. Nothing too mental for you this time round, just a little show with me vibezin'.
Have a good Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

The nights are drawing in. The heating's going on. The idiots are rushing out to the shops early. It must be nearly Christmas.
Here's some beats to keep you warm.
Big it up.

Wahgwarn my little frosty friends. Winter is coming, and I don't mean Winter is my other half's nickname. luckily these beats are here to wrap you up warm all the way to Spring.

B
The nights are drawing in, the days are getting colder, and I'm already missing the summer. So here's some Garage n Bass to bring the sunshine back. It's been 4 weeks since a live show, so there's so much freshness for you. You're gonna like this one.
SAFEAGE!
B
Holy fuck nuggets! It's been 4 years! We're back. This vibe was legit captured 100% on the London Transport System and I was bubblin' all the way. I spent this weekend in the Emerald Isle consuming way too much whiskey for my liking. So this is your morphine to keep you dosed between shots of the hot stuff. Hope you likey likey.
B
LENGIN' FAM!
This one goes hard. Had lots of fun recording it. Hope you enjoy.
Big up,

So here it is, better late than never. Its all my favourite tunes from last year. Not gonna lie, I was pretty smashed when I recorded this. Which kind of reflects a lot of my 2018. Lets hope it translates to the right sort of vibe. Was this the best tunes of last year? What did I miss? Let me know in the comments below. And remember to like and subscribe... Sorry. Was possessed by a YouTuber for a second there. Big up your chesticles. B
I heard that right now if you take a slash in the streets in Chicago, it'll freeze before it hits the floor. That's some next level shit!
So keeping it ice cool, I got some frosty riddims for you this week. Sorry for the hiatus. I have some shit going on and couldn't make the last one. Well that, and I was in Italy.
Peace out, Stronzos,

So it's one of them shows. It's Christmas. I've gone digging and picked a bunch of rando riddos. Had so much fun recording this show. Hope you like.
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you. See you in 2019!
Peace & love,
B
HA-WHAT-HA-GWARN my sexy people.
They're starting to put bloody turkey and stuffing in everything. Turkey Nut Stuffing Latte fam where you at?! Means it must nearly be Christmas. So I had to buss out a tiiiiny it of Christmas cheer in this show.
Next one is the Christmas Speshy. Although what's gonna make it speshy is a complete mystery to me right now.
Bless up baby Jesus.
B
Wintage. Top wintage garage, mate.
Trust your Uncle Bwainzy.
UKG - coming in your family's ears
It's that time of year again. We roll out the odd Halloween remix in celebration of an over-commercialised American holiday.
And people say I'm not cheery.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
B
Mate. Sunshine in October. Was loving it. Also was loving these tunes. Pump it up LOUD.
B
I wish I knew Lauryn Hill had a track record of cancelling shows randomly before I committed to a 20 hour round trip to Houston, Texas this weekend. Fuck my life. Super jet lagged. Super pissed at throwing so much fucking money away. But dedicated enough to still bring you a mix for your ears even though I'm half asleep.
Hope this one is pleasing to the ears.

Ha-what-a-gwarn my garage brej. So summer is drawing to a close in the UK. There's less opportunity for wearing shorts. The nights are slowly drawing in earlier. and the kids will soon be back to school. So this is my last fling of the summer. Enjoy some savage beats.
Big up.
B
More beats for the BBQ this week! The sun's out. Hopefully the guns are out. But try not to hang out with your... well you get the picture.

LADS.
Programming note - I'm not here for the next show. Hoping to get something into the podcast feed but no promises unfortunately. The show after (12th May) will be my Birthday Speshy and hoping to get special guest Source DJ down to BrainZ towers. Sure to be a back-to-back banger.
BIG. IT. UP.

Alright treacle slits. It's April Fools Day today. Let's do some topical comedy. I'm quitting to become an EDM DJ and getting a sex change to really clean up on that Lesbian DJ scene.
HAHA LOL JAJA ROFL I'M SO FUNNY
Just listen to the music.
Safe,
B
Howdy folks!
Your eyes are not deceiving you - this show is 20 minutes shorter than usual. Believe it or not this wasn't my fault. We got it resolved in the end and went live with a super speed show firing out the freshest garage n bass around.
Big ups!
B
Easy Kiddie Winks!
What a crazy week in the UK. We've been inundated with snow from a freezing blast coming in from Russia known as The Beast From The East. We don't have an infrastructure set up to handle this, so I think Canadians and Norwegians are a little mean right now.
Well, dry your eyes mate, before the tears freeze. Just get your headphones in and rave to a show with 100% fresh beats.
Keep it livid,
B
This show will cover you like a romance explosion. Thanks for Choo Choo Choosing the Brainz

B
Ha-whata-gwarn people deeple. Back again with another show. The backend of January has been a bit of a slow month for new music, so there's lots of old (modern) favourites thrown into the mix on this one.
Hope it stirs your porridge.
B
Happy New Year! I hope you're all busy telling yourself lies about how you're going to change this year. Pro tip: You can change whenever you want. If you want something - take it.
Smiles
B
It's the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrrrr.
So it's been a while, kids. I pulled the 1210s out of retirement for a clangfest. Probably the same tunes I play every time to be fair. Anyway, check the video out of extra jokes of a prick in a Santa hat struggling to lock a mix like the good ol' days.
Thanks for your support in 2017. Next mix will be the year's best of. Here's to a banging 2018.
Big up.
B
This wan is bound to leave you shredded after you rocksteadily bebop to the garage n bass sounds.

Guess who's back? That's right - the Marvel Maaaaan. He took his first trip to the brand new Brainz Cave. I had a lot of fun and I hope you do too listening to it.
Big up to Marvel for coming now. Always bringing the vibes that bring the five.

So I was cocky this episode. I decided I could mix and play Fortnite: Battle Royale at the same time. Spoiler - I couldn't. You can see this ridiculous lack of focus in the YouTube video below.
Anyway, this is all about the music, and this episode was not rampin' today, people.
Large it up

Out to Three For Nifty. He decided to come up with the term Vibena in the chat this week. I like it.
Drink it down.
B
So I'm back from holiday. My tan lasted about 2 days before it faded. So I had to play some heat to try to bring it back.
I had 4 weeks of brand new music to choose from. As you can imagine, there was some tough choices to make. What resulted, I hope, is some high calibre riddims for your listening pleasure.
I enjoyed putting this together. Hope you like it too.

B
Ah 2006. It was a vastly different time in my life. I was renting a room in a house I shared with an Estate Agent and a coke dealer. I was still actually buying vinyl and my only access to CD decks was the shittest peace of "Made for pub" top-loading junk you've ever seen. I set out one day to make a mix with the most dark, random garage I could find. The sole purpose was to put in a shit song I made in Fruityloops. Can you guess which one? Anyway, the result was the Random Cracked Out Mix.
This is to tide you over. I got so much new music waiting for you, but I had to go to Turkey and chill the fuck out for 10 days. It was needed. I'm now back. There will be a show this weekend.
Until then, enjoy smoking this wan.
B
Alright. Your mum loves it. So if it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me.
Get some good tunes into your ears.
Programming note - no live show on the 16th September 2017 as I will be sunning my white bits. Hoping for a bone-us episode for you. Keep peeled.

B
What a gwarn Brainiacs. I write this whilst watching Bruce Forsyth on The Price Is Right. Rest In Peace Brucie. Also, looking back on it now, you were quite creepy. Still, a ledge. Just hope they don't Savile your legacy.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the riddims.
Maximum.
B
So three tunes in, going hard and I shut the place down. No. Literally. The power got tripped in my house and completely killed the show. Anyway, I bounced back as soon as I could and delivered the best show I was capable of. Loads of brand new music and even a small unexpected bonus rinse at the end.
Hope you enjoy.
G
Can't Pay We'll Take It Away is my favourite trash TV right now. There, I said it. Bang.
Oh yeah, I played some garage n bass. It was sick.

I'm like totally having a whale of a time and loving life. Not growing up with a dad and that, I've just always craved an alpha male.

Hope you enjoy this one.

Morning kiddies! This will get lost in a sea of stuff about Ariana Grande doing one of the most amazing things ever and shooting herself into the stratosphere. But anyway, here's the audio from when I spun some records down on a beach in the middle of Brixton on a rooftop.
Enjoy!
B
Oh noes. I missed a week. You've had to wait 4 whole weeks for this.
😱😱😱😱😱😱
I'm now moved and broadcasting live from the new Brainz Lab. It's a car crash ATM. It'll be all set up properly soon.
Enjoy the beats, bitches.
B
PS. I did some experiments with live 360 video in the new lab. Check it out:
Apparently it's Passover. I know that as an office I urgently needed to deal with this week said they couldn't help me as the whole office buggered off for it.
On a related note: I'm actually a fan of Matzos covered in butter.

This episode is dedicated to weird microcultures. Guys - some of you are into some strange shit that I'll never get. Like listening to me. Or watching videos involving asian women and glass coffee tables, or giving your cash to random real women to be treated as a sub. Frankie Boyle once said he can't ejaculate on tour unless he's wrapped a body in clingfilm and kicked it down a lay-by. That's oddly specific. But I guess I'm trying to say we all have weird things we're into. And I'm glad I can be one of your.
Big up.

Happy Over-commercialised-show-affection-even-though-you-hate-each-other day! Okay it was a week ago, but whatevs. Just remember, no one loves you all more than me. Just don't tell the cops.

High tech garage espionage this week as we go full Treadstone upgrade, and possibly full retard. Lots of fresh beats for your ears, as well as some Brainz favourites.
Keep it simple, Jack.
B
Yeah! We're back with the first show of 2017. 2 hours of brand spanking new UK Garage n Bass kicking off this year to an amazing start. If the next 12 months carries on to go this way, shit will be burnt to the ground by July.
Keep it lit turnt one hundred emoji cry face
B
What a year. It's been 12 months of the whole world suddenly deciding they are connected to every celebrity that dies. We got an orange bollock in the White House. And Garage was FUCKING FIRING.
As always, I give you a round-up of some of the greatest tunes from the last year. This set did kind of write itself in many ways, but there was so much more I'd have loved to have added in.
So, for you listening pleasure, grab 95 minutes of some of my favourite Garage n Bass from 2016 (including a few late entries).
Happy New Year. Here's to another 12 months of firing music.
B
Hopefully not posting this in the wrong neighbourhood, but here's some Garage n Bass to Shake Dat Ass to. Last show before Christmas, so I hope you have an amazing holiday season.
I'll squeeze in a Best of 2016 before the end of the year. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for that one.

The hangover was real. That's what you get for going out on the lash in the manor with Too Bad DJs. I was in bits on Friday. I was in bits for this show. I think I managed to still throw together something enjoyable to vibe to. So plug in, turn it up, and rock to the bass with a Beer and some Tequila.

Boom! We're back on dis ting with stupidly fresh music. Had 4 weeks of stuff to go through due to episode 200 related stuff, so we got a bevy of fresh tuna to reel in.
This one was fun. Hope you enjoy.
B
So we're rounding off the 200 episode milestone with a tune picked from the other 99 episodes. I went for super speed on this on, so you're getting 99 tunes in 90 minutes. HOLY FUCK.
Big up
B
So it's come to this. 6 and a half years in the making. 490,000 Downloads. 38.2TB Downloaded. 520,000 Minutes listened on Mixcloud. And now we're here.
Episode 200 is milestone I wanted to celebrate. I asked Twitter what to do, and Twitter spoke.
The plan was set: 1 tune from every episode.
For a realistic goal, I decided to space it out over 2 shows as I thought it would be too hard to squeeze more than 100 tunes into 2 hours. Reflecting, I think I could have done all 200 in under 3 hours if I went for it. I was well ahead of schedule after hour one.
Anyway, what I've thrown down is hopefully a show that will keep you entertained for 2 hours. One tune from each of the first 100 episodes. It moves VERY quickly for the first hour, so try not to take those headphones out.
Thanks so much for all of your support over the last 6 and a half years. You guys are why I do it. Here's to 200 more.

Yes family! Back once again with the fresh UKG to gently brush again that special place.
Great tunes this week, including freshness from Slime Records, Zed Bias, MJ Cole and bare more heads.
If you're a long time listener to the show, you'll know all about my endeavours with Orpheus:ldn. Great news if you're a fan. The Connected EP has been rereleased for 2016, and the Picture EP is due to drop on 09/09/2016!
Keep your ear out for those. I'll be back in 2 weeks!
Safe,

Wuddup family. Back in the hotseat for week 3 of the Brainz show on Sub.FM. This time I was in covering for Davey Donkdown, AKA Brock. Expect 2 solid hours of donk classics and new school gabberwave all whilst I film myself taking a ex-Disney starlet from behind on webcam.
Only some of the above may be true.
Big up.

Yes people! week number 2 on the bounce of garage vibes. Fresh beats and sunshine from London town for you. Don't miss the new biggy from Thorn. What a track.

So it's been over a MONTH since I've been on Sub.FM! What thur furrrrck. Well, I was back with a bang. Thumping brand new UKG. And guess what? There's a show every week for the next 3 weeks also! BOOM!
Also my first time streaming my nose on Sub.FM TV. So there's that also. Exciting.
Big up,
B
In the words of Lethal Bizzle - I've been away for a while but now I'm back back back back back.
Life has been getting in the way of mixing. Luckily, some of this "life" stuff involved a sun lounger and sangria. Win.
So, I thought you deserved a mix. So here's one I threw together for you. Hope you enjoy.
B
Wassurrrrrp. So that's just nasty. Nasty basslines that is. This week was strange up savagery. Hope you enjoy.
B
It's Bank Holiday. There's a bit of sun. What's missing? UK Garage of course.
Here's your soundtrack to a day of not working.
Enjoy
B
So the New Movement have a little radio show on Reprezent Radio every week. Conveniently (or not so), it completely clashes with my time on Sub.FM. So at least I have the opportunity to play on rotation with the 7,000 others in the squad every other Saturday.
The 7th May was one of those Saturdays. My first show on Reprezent Radio in the mix with the legend that is DJD aka Lightwork aka loads of others that he holds down. Have a listen to 2 hours of fresh UKG, brought to you by the New Movement.
Big up.
B
I've got really good sex moves that I learned in China. I'm a sexual tiger, and I feed on... errr UK Garage.
Hope you enjoy this one.
No show next week due to me being on a Stag Do in East Europe somewhere. There'll be music though. If I get back alive. #PrayForBrainz
B
Yep. I banged two & two whilst on air this week. And it was amazing.
Don't forget to add vinegar and pepper, bitches.

Serving you up a large portion of Leng & Chips, this week’s show was a doozy. Had lots of fun recording it and as usual the chat room was on point.
Download it to your mobile telephonic device, pop in some ear buds and smash out the sounds of the Brainz.

B
This one is straight up smiley face 100 banana for you. Lots of brand new music as always, but had a little peak back to some modern classics too.
Hope this one give you full purple aubergine.
Big up,
B
Oh my days. You have no idea what you're in for. A savage savage show this week. Lots of fresh music for you as per usual. You'll find a large batch of brand new material the New Movement DJs. When you hear the noise we're making, you'll understand why brand new underground garage is where it's at.
Hope you enjoy this one. I did.
G
So it's late. It's really late. I know. But there's good reason. My radio show is usually on Saturday. This Saturday though, we got to go to Rinse FM. And by 'we', I mean me and my New Movement pals. We took over for most of the show and shelled down the place. You can check the show out over on Soundcloud if you're interested to hear the damage.
We also launched an EP. Plays are through the roof.
All in all, it was a good weekend.
Still, you need to know what's going on with the latest and greatest in UKG, right? So here's another instalment of Bumpy UKG with Brainz for you.

B
Easy kiddiwinks!
100% fresh UKG for you this week. It was another fun show for me with plenty of rich, banging garage for your ears.
Programming note - No show on Sub.FM on the 20th February 2016. Keep an eye out for updates. There will be a mix for you, just not sure what yet.
Big up!
B
So this week's show was something special. I had some of my New Movement brothers in the house to take part in a sermon. The lesson was simple - New UK Garage will rip your face off and you will love it.
Big ups to Marvel, E1D, and Paul-E from Too Bad DJs for rolling through on a 2-for-2 flex. You're gonna love this one.
Big ups
B
This show will get you the fast track to the Rubber Dinghy Rapids, bro. Kicking off 2016 with the freshest of the fresh UKG. Also some cheeky classics fudged in for good measure.
Hope you're all drinking and eating burgers. Dry January and the gym are for pussies.
Stay livid.
B
What a year. Music levels were off the chain. So being the last show of the year I had to do a best of. First part of the show is my usual face full of brand new UKG. Hour 2 takes you into the Best of 2015, showcasing my favourite tunes from the past 12 months.
Wherever you are around the world, have a great New Year, and I hope 2016 brings you good fortune and fat basslines.
2015, shutdown.

Did I say 2 fingers? Make it 3. Hang on, you say it's a RECITAL? Oh dear.
Catch my last show before Christmas playing plenty of fresh beats. This week I had special guest Too Bad DJs in the studio who threw down a live guest mix for y'all. They're definitely on the vibe, so I'm sure you'll be down with the sound.
Programming note - I wont be doing a show on Boxing Day. But will get a best of 2015 show in before the New Year.

Another awesome show featuring the machine that is Marvel MC. He's a machine in many ways. Not only is he an awesome host, he's also stacked like a brick shithouse. This guy has six packs on his six pack. That's why when he says SHUT IT! we definitely pay attention.
Until next show!
B
I got some tunes for you that will make you say shiiiiiiiieettt like Clay Davis. Had fun recording this show. Hope you have fun too.
Safe wans.
B
Hi kids! Do you like violence? Well try replacing it with garage.
At this point I have no idea why I write anything in here. No one reads it. I once put a finger in a monkey's butt.
B
Really enjoyed myself this week. Brand new beats as always. Not much to say other than I hope you like what you hear.
Until next time.
B
So this week I had to miss my Saturday show due to unforeseen circumstances. Luckily I picked up a cover show on Sunday, filling in for a massive cunt. Lots of fresh music as per. I was using a funky new piece of equipment so bear with me on some of it. Peace out B
Just so you know, after I arbitrarily named this episode, I went to YouTube and listened to a 90s medley with S Club, B*Witched and the Spice Girls.
Enjoy the garage.
B
Shit's about to get cray-zee. This week's might be savage enough to stab you in the face. Strap up, get angry and STAB BACK.
ARRRRGHHHHH

Easy peoples! Not much to be said here other than this was a beast of show. Not to be missed.
Don't forget on Tuesday you can catch me on GetDarker TV alongside MindOfADragon, DJD, Matt C, Sunship, Tumble Audio and Roska. Lengtastic.
Big up.
B!
At a time when most of the DJs I know were raving it down at the Garage Nation festival, I was holed up in the studio laying down fire for you guys. I now wish I'd rescheduled the show as I missed a fat day.
Nevertheless, huge show for you this week. Lots of fresh beats along with some modern classics dug from the virtual crate MP3 crate.
Don't forget, you can catch me on GetDarker TV for MC Kie Presents on 28th July 2015. I'll be laying down some new skool lengers for the garage crew as part of their new school lineup. Watch out for that one.
Until next time...
B
Easy peoples and peepettes! Hope all is well in the land of the raver. We're back with another show for you. The latest and greatest in all things garage and bass. Watch out for some absolute bangers from Slime Records this week, who have an amazing album on the way.
Cheers for your continued support as always. Hopefully I'll be back soon with another mix or two.

This has gone up a bit late as I had a mishap with a bottle of JD Honey last night. After a phone call on the great white telephone I managed to get some sleep, and am still nursing a raging headache 12 hours later.
Oh yeah, music. So this is a 100% brand new music showcase this week. Bangers from your favourites, new music from people you may not have heard before.
Hope you enjoy.

So today is my birthday. In celebration, I asked Marvel down for an extra special show. I played all my favourites from 20 years back right up to now. Managed to get through 65 tunes in 2 hours! It was an amazingly savage show and definitely one not to be missed.
Hope you enjoy!
B
When the bass hits you in the face, what do you do? GURN, BABY!
This week's show was chock full of brand new beasts. Hope you enjoy!
Had a properly crazy few weeks outside of music, including getting stuck in another country for 2 days! Anyway, I'm back with another show of pure, fresh-driven garage and bass.
Keep it livid.
B
Waddup people!
I'm still hanging out with my wang out in the sun. Couldn't leave you high and dry though with no mix! Especially as you're going back to work after a peaceful Bank Holiday break (hold tight Zombie Jesus).
Here's a little sumpin' sumpin' I threw together the day before I left. 100% fresh UKG. Got a nice little vibe to it. Should keep you occupied till I'm back on radio.
Enjoy!
B
I'm on holiday tomorrow. Here's a mix for you. This one I go in hard, rave style.
I actually put this together in January. It was supposed to feature an MC, but he was super long.
Still - it's savage. Enjoy!
B
P.S. Don't forget - no radio this week.
WADDUP!
I'm feeling better and back fighting fit. Had a great show. Lots of chilled ambient bits for you at the start. There's also plenty of bass to smash you in the face later in the show.
There's no live show on the 4th April as I will be sunning myself on a beach, hopefully in a similar scene to the above :)
Hopefully I'll have a mix or two up for you in the interim before the next live show. Watch this space.
Also, upcoming live date - UKG Heaven - 18th April 2015. Find all the details over on the Facebook event.
Big up and peace out.
B
So this week I've been absolutely hammered. The worst virus I've had for a long time. Despite coughing and spluttering my way through the show, I still managed to throw down.
100% fresh music once again this week. You producers never fail to amaze me.
Big up.
B
OH YEAH! I GOT ANOTHER MIX FOR YOU!
I did a cover show last week that I filled with 100% vinyl classics. A proper UKG Feast.
In anticipation for this Friday, I thought I'd upload it.
27th Feb 2015 - UKG Spot - UnderSolo Camden - Full details over at Facebook.
Hope to see you down there. I'm spinning at 12pm-1am.
BIG UP!
B
What can I say... Crazy show. When Marvel's holding the mic down I kinda get carried away. 58 tunes in 2 hours! Not had that much fun in a long time. You're in a for a treat.
We're hopefully trying to make Marvel more of a regular thing. So watch this space!
Safe ones,
B
I definitely needed some help from Autotune Jesus this week. Ever tried to do a 2 hour set with a fucked back? It's not fun. So I called it in a bit today. Still bare fire spun so it's not to be missed. The enthusiasm may be dialled back a bit from usual!
Next show we should have guest host Marvel back for 2 hours of Spraying while I'm Playing.
Don't miss it.
Safe!
B
Today's show is a proper kick in the dirtbox. Huge bass. Large beats. Had a lot of fun recording it as per usual. 100% unplayed beats once again, and it's still hectic. New music has never been so strong.
Big up your chest.
B
Well what a great start to the year. When I was putting this show together I was thinking that we might be a little bit short of big tunes this time round. How wrong I was. This show is fatter than your Nan full of Häagen-Dazs.
Hope you enjoy!
B
YO!
Hope your collective Christmases were amazing. Mine was cool. I got new headphones and I've been telling everyone that will listen. They're beautiful.
This was a showcase of December's greatest fresh bangers, along with my Best Of 2014 haphazardly thrown together. It's a bit loose in places, but I'm sure that's the same as all of your bowels after a savage Xmas period.
Have a great New Year, and see you in 2015.
Safe!
B
So this is my Christmas show. I played some new bits, I played some old bits. All in all, it was about as festive as a real life crucifixion. But, eh, so what?
Merry Christmas one and all. Hope you enjoy.
Side note - no live show on the 27th December as I'm doing other stuff. There will be podcast action, I just don't know when or where from.
PEACE! (on earth)
Brainzuz Christ
Another week, another imaginary session of my own tube rave in my head. This time around, the imaginary ravers are going crazy to all sorts. I thought I'd bring MJ Cole out for a play as I've not colluded with him much recently and he used to be my fav.
Lots of other beats from people like Grades, Zed Bias, Club Asylum, TS7 and other charming chaps.
Just remember to be careful who you buss your gunfingers at if you are listening to this on a train.
Big up
B
Words cannot describe the pain I went through on this show. I'd been out the previous night in Epping (shout out to the UKG Spot guys) and a friend of mine was on a mission to make everyone as much of a mess as possible. I had to take a break live on air and spew my guts up. So apologies if this one is a bit shaky! Hopefully it still stands up.
Until the next (more sober) time
B
Ever had the bass hit you so hard it made your bits rescind and climb back up inside you?
I hope you're prepared.
Large up your chesticles.
B
Apologies if you're seeing this one late. There was a hiccup with the date in the feed so it ended up at the wrong end of the podcast.
This one will climb inside you, give you a huge smile, and leave you in a sweaty happy mess.
Hope you enjoy
B
So die-hard Brainz fans may have already heard this one, but I thought I'd chuck it out there for the Tube Train ravers.
Traktor ran a competition to do a mix with their app on an iDevice and I had a shot. Ultimately I'm disqualified due to it being 3 minutes too long, but whatevs. It's been on Mixcloud for a week or 2, but I thought I'd throw it up in the podcast feed for the takeaway gang.
It's a quick 30 minute blast of randomness. Hopefully it's up your street.
Big up
B
WARBLOW!
This show was properly alright ya kna. Had a blast. Loads of fresh music. A slight stench of cheese in places. A boatload of savage bass.
Swallow it down and enjoy.
SAFE!
B
This week's show was loud, lairy and intrusive. Get ready for some bass to kick the brown door in.
Why was I obsessed with HJs this week? I have no idea. But you get good music. So happy days?
I
Let me set your expectations high - this show was good. Had mad fun recording it and there were lots of faces in the chat for the duration. Bundles of fresh garage and bass to wrap your ears around.
Three compilations to NOT MISS - all free.
I'm letting you onto some of my secret weapons here! They are 3 albums you need in your life. ALL FREE.!
Until next time.
B
Easy now. Back for another week of fresh UKG and banging bass. I'll be honest, I wasn't fully on point for this show and some of it was a bit loose in places. Hopefully you can see past that and enjoy the tuna.
Until next time!
B
Howdy people. Not much to say this week, other than listen to some great tunes. So many bangers this week it's a joke. Also, you can catch me THIS FRIDAY down at Wot You Call It at The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch, spinning 100% new UK Garage. It's gonna be hench, so don't miss out!
Big up,
B
So in preparation for the big episode 200, I was checking back over the tunes I'd played when I got to Episode 142. Then I couldn't find it. WTF! So it turns out it was never published to the podcast feed. What a doughnut.
It ended up on Mixcloud still somehow and even reached 2nd in the UK Garage charts. Nice!
Anyway, here it is for your podcast consumption. First published in the podcast on 1st October 2016.
Big up
B
So it's been over 18 months since I smashed it up on the tube train for you. Well, I fancied it this week so we've got a fresh Tube Train Tear Up for you.
Over the past 4 - 6 weeks, I've had so many tunes that I've not been able to play them all on radio. So I thought "what better way to give them a spin" than with a little commute mixing.
Lots of nasty bass for you in this one. Hope you enjoy!
B
So you may have caught on the madness that I caused for Soundcloud over the past 2 weeks. I got a LOT of coverage, and all I wanted was my account back. Read up on my story here. Basically - my advice is don't upload mixes to Soundcloud. Stick to Mixcloud instead.
Speaking of Mixcloud - if you'd like to help support the Brainz, please vote for me in the Mixcloud radio show awards here. That would be jolly good if I won!
Big tunes this week. Stupidly huge show.
Big up.
B
P.s. Special thanks to Tom Merritt from the Daily Tech News Show for the coverage.
Grey Goose Gangstaz pic.twitter.com/qOl0Ke08Zn— Grey Goose Wanker (@GreyGooseWanker) March 20, 2014
So I've started to go full dickhead when I'm out. I'm mainly drinking straight vodka. Last night I went as far as buying a bottle of Grey Goose "for the table." Yeah I yammed most of that shit. And I'm now a proud owner of one of the worst hangovers I've ever had.
Here's the only photo I managed to take last night. It's an interesting mashup of my colleagues and you can see the cunt flag in the bucket on the table.
What has this got to do with anything? Well, I had a hangover when I recorded this show. There you go.
Loads of big, new tunes. Plus first spin of my Fly Bi Nu Bass mash up. RIP MC Sparks.
Also got some studio footage for you too! Recorded on my new, fancy Google Glass.
Big up.
B

So I've just been notified of my 3rd strike on Soundcloud for copyright infringement which means they're going to close my account.. Great. All for uploading my radio show. Yet, there are numerous mixes of the same nature all over Soundcloud on "Big Named" DJs and Producers Soundcloud pages. They took my fucking money and still said "You know what, fuck you. We give big names a pass but you can violate yourself with a wide television remote control and spin on it".
Thanks Soundcloud.
Good job they're not the only place you can get my radio show, eh. This week's show was lively. Enjoy.
B
What can I say? An absolutely savage show. I had super special guest Marvel in the place to make sure the hosting was on point. That allowed me to slam in the bangers. Had mad fun doing this show. You are in for a treat.
Big up
B
My gosh. It's so close. I can't wait till Thursday. That's when we fly out to Amsterdam for 10 Years Of Bass. It's going to be so sick.
This show is a warm up to next week's damage in Amsterdam. It was also my birthday show, so I thought I'd do my best to demostrate what happens when you try to play an old school set without preparing for it (spoiler alert: it's a clangy mess).
Start of the show was absolutely savage though. Definitely check it out.
Big up.
B
A little late, here's this week's Sub.FM show, and let me tell you: it's a doozy.
Really enjoyed recording this show. Lots of upfront bangers and the chatroom was on fire.
Nice one
Brainz
Easter is a special time of year. It's when we remember that once upon a time, magicians were revered as holy, instead of throwing food at them like David Blaine. It's also the time we remember that The Walking Dead could still totally happen, as a guy did come back from the dead once.
Just remember, according to The God, Jesus Loves UK Garage. And it must be true because you can get it on a t-shirt.
Big up,
B
Famalamble! Warblow. Here's another show for you. Loads of fresh beats for your ears. Hope you enjoy!
B
Wassup kids? More fresh UK Garage for you this week with the usual mix of bass, bump and blue cheese. I also threw in a sprinkle of classics for good measure, so keep your ears peeled for those. In all honesty I was (and still am) a little under the weather and I hope that doesn't come across too much. I swear I've had a lungfull for like 2 months!
Please stay tuned to my Facebook for upcoming gigs. Next few months are going be wicked.
Take it easy and thanks for listening
B
Have to say it - this show was wicked. Really enjoyed it. 100% fresh music for your ears. I reckon I could have played another 2 hours with new beats as well, but there's just not enough time in the day or on the air!
Don't forget the Sub.FM #10YearsOfBass party in Amsterdam coming up in May. Come and meet all the Sub.FM crew and rave it down with us over 3 days. It's gonna be HENCH!
Oh, and as a side note, if you haven't seen it, check out Kurupt FM at Just Jam. El oh flucking el.
The title of this show is inspired by a snapchat I once sent a friend. I was in his house when he was far away. I filmed myself going into his bedroom, beginning to unbelt my trousers and shouting "Awwww yeah it's party time! Woooooo!"
This show contains music. New music. Exciting.
Yobogoya.
Brainz.
So the week after a massively successful night down at Wot You Call It (where were you?) I have another show full of absolute bangers. Lots of new music with a few classics thrown in at the end for good measure.
Until next time!
B
Alright you rim lickers?
NEW MUSIC GALORE. So many tunes. It's bonkers.
Next Friday - 31st Jan 2014 - Old Blue Last - Night called Wot You Call It. Gonna be large. Come down, do a Jagerbomb with me! I'll be spinning bare new UKG. See the Facebook event here.
Safe ones
B
Alright you greasy cock farts?
New Year, New Music. Happy days! Lots of fresh beats for you, and to round off the show we have a very special guest appearance from the one and only DJ Halo, who threw down a half hour tear up just for the Brainiacs.
Hope your new year jogging plans are working out. Or is it yogging? It might be a soft J.
Don't let things escalate too quickly, and big up your shoes and socks.
B
So I caught a cover show on Sub.FM just before Christmas, and let me tell you: it was a doozy.
Full blown vinyl rinse out. No talking, just riddos.
Definitely one for the car.
Enjoy.
B
So here we are. The end of a great year for music. 2013 has been amazing. Here, we round out the year by playing plenty of music due to drop in 2014, along with my now standard 12 for 12 highlights of some of my fav tunes over the last 12 months.
Wherever you are, I hope you have an amazing New Years.
Big up
B
So approximately 6 years after the last episode, the Gashtastic series gets an update with an old school rinse out.
I had a bag full of music I'd picked out for going to Nottingham with when I played up there and it kind of made sense to put a mix together out of it. I didn't go for your run-of-the-mill cheese fest old school set (promptly jumped over Monsta Boy - Sorry). It's been a while since I've done a majority vinyl mix (Serato appears once!). Bit of a challenge for me nowadays! What I will say is you are due a set of decent tunes.
See it as an early Xmas present. Hope you enjoy.
Big up
B
Big up. Sorry for the lateness on this one. I was in bed for 5 days with the evilest bug I've ever had and am now ejecting some horrible stuff from my rear. Luckily I managed to grab a cover show today, so you get your dose of Brainz, just a little late! This is the last show before Xmas, so I've given you a nice little blend of super fresh UK Garage, with a rinse out of bangers for the latter part of the show. Enjoyed this one.
Have a great Xmas, and keep an eye on the Podcast feed for a little treat in the next few days ;)
Safe
B
BUZZIN! Alright you bunch of nipple clamped legends? Here's some music for you to listen to. Yay!
Stay livid, and keep it Jackson.
B
GREAT SCOTT!
Well smash my ring and call me Sally. We got loads of new tunes for you. Usual malarkey, with a bit of a twist for the last half hour due to me finally buying new styli.
Great news for people up north (so everyone outside of the M25, right?) is that I'm playing in Nottingham on 30th November 2013. Catch me at Spanky Van Dykes for IN2: The Evolution of Garage. Please get down there if you're local!
Big up for another week,
B
So on Tuesday they yanked out my gall bladder. I survived. Would you Adam and Eve is?
That's my sole anecdote for you. And also my excuse for not feeling completely on point for this one. Still lots of fresh tuna for you. Please enjoy like it was sushi.
B
So do I tell you my messed up Friday night? Fuck it. Why not.
After arguing with fake gypsy charity collectors and nearly getting bowled over by a savage pub fight that spilled everywhere I went to a super gay club. Like wow. Beyonce, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, the lot. I struck out and left at kick out time out of my box. Heading down Tottenham Court Road I'm engaged by 2 birds who saw where I came from. They were then surprised when I said I was straight because I was "so well groomed." Supposedly I have eyelashes to be jealous of. Sthuper!
So, I blag the cabbie into going McDs to stuff my face, get home and my internet is dead. NO. SHIT. I actually thought I'd cancelled my show via my phone at 4am from the toilet. I wake up to notice that I was so fucked that I didn't manage to do it. Great.
So I play with the power cord and get my cable modem going. I now have about 50 minutes to buy new music, download promos and set up for the show. No where NEAR enough time. Well, I frantically stumbled through and got to air in my hungover state to bring you this show.
If that's not dedication I don't know what is.
Enjoy.
B
Honestly, how can I be expected to come up with something witty when I've got a fat hangover.
Just stop whinging. And listen to some tunes.
Hugs and handjobs,
B
Battering the shit out of you with some quality tuna again this week.
Bare gems. I can't talk it up enough. Just bloody listen!
Until next time
B
Yeah baby, twerk it.
So last week on Sub.FM I started a live rinse out of some classics from the mid to last noughties. It's a time of garage that put out loads of great music but was more underground that a mole with a pneumatic drill so it's not really revered. So I went a bit longer than the show and bashed out a full hour of random tunes from the noughties.
I'd like to do another of these as I have so many underplayed gems from this era. So watch this space!
Safe
B
Howdy. I got some banging UK Garage for you this week, just DON'T MENTION ZI FUTURE!
Yeah I'm on one again. Mainly because FACT Magazine are dicks. Massive, massive dicks. Sometimes it feels like it's a personal war against Whistla.
Whatever. Fuck em.
As a side note, this week's show has been cut off at the end. But in doing so, it means you get a bonus episode next week.
Happy days.
Take it easy,
B
Huge show for you this week. Super fresh beats. Had a jam chat room with lots of action. All the usual shit, you know?
Anyway, happy Bank Holiday if you're in the UK. And I'm fucking right off to Ibiza for 6 days. Sweet.
Enjoy the rain, suckers.
B
Easy gash flaps,
Got a cracking show for you. So much new music it'll make you shit a kidney. Hotter than your ringpiece in Nandos.
I love you.
Brainz
BLUDCLART!
So some of this show is more H&G rather than UKG. Still loads and loads of stupidly fresh music for your eardrums. Had fun recording this.
I overran by an hour due to the next DJ being AWOL, so you get a little bonus mix on the end. Lucky you!
Keep it livid, treacle slits.
Brainz
"What's with the guitar? Brainz thinks he's at Glasto."
Nice to know you have taste, Lojt.
Bit of a interesting show this time around. Lots of spacey, dreamy garage out over the past 2 week. So I got a real mixed bag for you. There's a couple of first spins, including the aforementioned Lojt's side project (aka deep howse 4 tha hunneys) going under the name D Brocker, the debut of another Orpheus:ldn joint entitled Lendi.
Enjoy the rim shots.
B
So on the day I put out A Picture with Back The Too Future I got a little email from EzFrG asking if Orpheus:ldn fancied doing a little guest spot on Hoxton FM.
How in Satan's penis am I going to pass up on that opportunity?
Mr Muad'dib was indisposed for the day; playing with guitars and such, so it was just me in the mix for an hour and 40 minutes.
Really enjoyed it. Hope you do too.
Safe
B
YES! What a fucking show.
Really enjoyed myself. Hype off of playing in New Cross last night. Had them all going. Was bare fun.
Big up your collective statuses.
B
"Jesus loves you."
It's a nice thing to hear.
Unless you're in a Mexican prison.
Speaking of anal violation, it's a good parallel to draw as this week's show was warm and tight. Really enjoyed myself. I hope you enjoy it too.
Big up
B
So you may have caught the original mix known as Tarra's Mix. This is a old school rinse out with all the tracks chosen by someone I've known since school, my friend (you've guessed it) Tarra.
Anyway, Tarra's been screaming in my ear "When are you going to do me a new one?" She compiled me a track list months ago and this weekend I went for it.
So what's you've got coming up is 98 minutes of banging old school UK Garage. It's too big to fit on a CD so you'll have to cut off the last 5 tracks if you do.
So I cancelled my show this week, didn't I? Well, I got a hold of a cover show on Sunday instead. Quality.
So, 2 hours of UK Garage thundered out live. And then some bright soul did ANOTHER HOUR on top for good measure.
I think I'm addicted to new music. I hope you are too.
Keep it foolish, monkey muffs.
B
So this is part 2 of my epic 5 hour set from last week. Swallow it down and enjoy.
Don't forget - no live show on Sub.FM next week, but hopefully a podcast at some point.
Maximum.
B
So it was 4/20 (or the 20th of April as we call it in Blighty) and apparently this has something to do with marijuana.
From what I can gather, it's a quaint concept imported from The Colonies. 4:20PM is when teenagers with little hope of gaining full time employment later in life would congregate to inhale the smoke from a cannabis cigarette. After catching on with many of the great unwashed as the "official" time to be breaking the law by taking drugs, the idea of "420" then slipped from time to date. Today now serves as as an excuse to do nothing all day.
How interesting.
Anyway, this is what happened on 4/20. With a stinking hangover I managed to run for 5 HOURS non-stop. It was lucky that the next 2 DJs didn't turn up as I had so many new tunes to run with that I needed the time to play as many as possible! Nevertheless, I managed to play 5 hours solid with tunes that have never before been on this podcast. I amazed myself with this one.
You get this one in 2 parts. Part 2 will be released next week.
The week after there will be NO Sub.FM show. I will do my best to put up a podcast of something though.
Anyway, be ready for 2 and half hours of savage house and garage.
Big it up.
B
So on Friday I went rollerskating. You'd think a grown man on 8 wheels is never a good idea. I absolutely flippin' loved it. Is this the worst part? Nope. The worst part is I actually own my own skates.
What is great Satan's pee hole has this got to do with UK Garage and this week's show? Nothing. But I don't imagine anyone reads this anyway so I'll say what I like. Sometimes I like to pee on insects, film it in slow motion and set it to dramatic music as they drown in my fluids.
Part of this update on my life is not true. You can guess which bit.
Word to your maker.
B
So here we are. Episode 100. And after a night of listening to some of the most boring thumping 4x4 minimal shit in the East End of London (tequila and Jagerbombs are at fault) I was hanging out of my arsehole.
Thanks so much for sticking with me all the way. And if you haven't had a chance yet, make sure you grab my latest mix by taking part in the Brainz Podcast survey.
You lot a frigging legends, watch out for the suspect bait hangover mixes, and I hope you enjoy the special bumpy present for the last 30 minutes.
Maximum respect,
B
So I've got an exclusive new promo mix for you to get your hands on, and the chance to grab some Amazon vouchers. Wicked! There's a tiiiiiny little catch here for you to get your hands on them.
I wanted to say maximum respect for sticking with me through the last 99 episodes of UK garage goodness. As we fast approach episode 100, there were 2 things I wanted to do. Firstly, give you guys something for being loyal listeners, and secondly get some information from you.
I'm running my first survey for the Brainz podcast. I want to know what you want. How can I improve? What do you want that I'm not giving you? What was your favourite episodes and should I do more like that? Do you want to be more involved?
To answer these and some other questions, I have a handy survey link.
How it works
I'm giving away one prize of a £30 Amazon voucher, and 3 runner up prizes of £10 vouchers. Awesome.
The mix is absolutely banging and has some of my favourite current tunes and some bangers from the past few years.
So please, get involved, help me do what I do better and get your hands on the best studio mix I've put together for 5 years.
Safe for keeping it Brainz, and here's to 100 more!
B

Something something UK Garage blah blah new tunes yada yada inappropriate comment about rape.
Insert cool street sign off here
B
YES! We're back again to totally cover you in UK Garage. And you love it, don't you? You dirty bastards.
Bare new tracks. I won't gone on. Just listen to it goddammit!
Holla!
B
Où est le boeuf? Le boeuf est dans la discothèque. Voulez-vous me montrer vos culottes français? Je tiens à uriner sur les poulets qui vivent dans les boîtes de céréales. Baguette.
This insightful message was sponsored by my ever increasing onset of insanity.
B
Altercations on a bus in Shoreditch, teenagers going 4 ways on Soundlab belt drives and making sure that Nigel Benn is rocking a strap all form the story of Orpheus:ldn in this special episode of the Brainz podcast.
Here, you get to meet me and my running partner Paul Muad'dib. We sit down, tell you about who we are, how we got here and why the fuck we even talk to each other.
So strap your earbuds in and listen to us suck ourselves off whilst we imagine that you give a shit what we think.
Big up.
B
Sometimes we need UK Garage Psychotherapy. This was definitely the case for me after a tragic Friday night. The banging tunes were a very soothing remedy to the emotional scars I'd gained.
So now I won't be rocking backwards and forwards in a corner saying "please don't touch me, please don't touch me". I hope this helps others in the same way.
Safety!
B
Happy New Year kiddywinks. Had mad fun on this show. One of the reasons was that my Orpheus:ldn brother Paul Muad'dib was in the studee-i-oh for the show.
Bare new riddims. Like BARE. As usual. There's the occasional pot and pan that I'm aware of and sorry for that. Really. But hopefully that won't detract from what is a great UK Garage start to 2013.
Happy January!
Brainz
Hang on... Just putting on my best Barry Manilow voice...
LOOKS LIKE WE MADE IT!
The world didn't end. Remember when that was a thing? It was only a thing (I imagine) as a large percentage of derkheads actually thought it might end. There was solid apocalyptic dicksplash chat all over Twitter. It bored me. Then we survived and no one breathed a word of it again. THANK FUCK.
So, after we've now spent all our money, had one last crack at smashing that chick we always fancied and told certain man to FUCK OFF we now have to face reality. What better way than with the last Brainz show of 2012?
Lots of new music for you. Bare riddos. Then for the last half hour or so I roll you through a little journey of some of my favourite bits from the past 12 months.
Please enjoy, and good luck in our brave new world.
All the best for 2013
B
Bit of a solider's show this week. I threw down for 2 and a half hours. Savagely.
What can I tell you about this show? Well...
Whistla challenged me to do a "1 old, 1 new" show. So the back 90 minutes is me mixing new school garage into old school garage. Was a very fun experiment!
There's also exclusive first plays from DEVolution, Danny Dubbz, Lojt and a very rough Orpheus:ldn. Aren't you lucky so-and-sos?!
Have a great Christmas, and I'll see you just before New Year.
Safety and merriment,
B
I have no explanation for the title of this mix. All I know is there's some smashing tracks on there.
Top ched a gwarn. I hope you enjoy!
Remember - No Armani, No Punani
Safe,
B
We all know New York's hottest club is Spicy. Just ask Stefon. And I bet they play banging UK Garage there, no doubt.
So many big riddims this week. Fresh tracks from Disclosure, K-Warren, Zinc, Doneao, Pledge, MileZ + a shed load more.
Hope you enjoy, and big up for continuing to listen to the Brainz.
Safe!
So do I have a clue what Bluku Bluku is? No. But the side of the rave I was at suddenly turned into the front of the rave and I'm now so close to D Double E and Footsie that I could spit on them and I'm shouting Bluku Bluku as loud as I can. Mad hype.
That was my Friday night.
This, however was my Saturday, and it's a garage hype ting right now. So hit play, stand up, AND FUCKING RAVE.

OH MY GARSH. Had so much fun this week with this episode. Loads and loads of new music for you as per usual. Hating the fact that Apple has split its podcasts out separately. This will give a big hit to new subs to the podcast so please make sure you tell your friends!
Safe, and I hope you enjoy
B
So this is my 2 year anniversary show on the bass heavy Sub.FM. Time has flown and I've had a blast so far. Here's to another 2 years of amazing bass (how sweet the sound).
As per usual there's lots of new music for you to consume. I hope you enjoy.
B
"Brainz I'm scarred for life"
"Why?"
"I just Googled 'Anal Prolapse'"
That was an actual conversation I had yesterday in the Sub.FM Chat Room. I have no idea what he was expecting. Given my track record of dodgy show names I don't know what they expected when I set my show title to Anal Prolapse UK Garage.
What can we gather from this little story? I've got problems. And I don't care.
Enjoy the tuna.

Hi guys,
It's been a while since I last tore it up on the tube train. I fancied throwing down this morning and recorded this in one blast. Oh gosh. I was literally walking through the barriers at Liverpool Street with an iPad whilst in the mix. Hope I did you proud.
Always like to cheese it up a bit on the tube. So I hope this isn't too stilton for all of you.
Enjoy like Pak Choi
B
UK Garage like pinot noir is deep, dark, full bodied, and likely to give you a banging headache the next day. This was similar to the headache I had the morning of this show with a savage hangover after a night out on the red wine.
Loving the vibes I threw down in this show. As per there's a shitload of new music. Hope you enjoy!
B
Shanking you in your face again with some savage UK and Future Garage again this week. Some bangers in here. Watch out for the new big one from DEVolution, throwing down a wicked remix for Rebecca Ferguson.
You know the drill. Anus-loads of new music for you. Hope you enjoy!
B
Mmm pppt mmm ppt BEEFY BEEFY.
Easy click. Had great fun this week. Bare BARE new riddims for you. Like it's a joke. So much fire in the inbox.
Appreciate the chatroom crew that were locked. I had to rush around to get back in time and was on a mad one by the start. Some of the b-lines are so tough that I have to say I will accept no responsibility for any damage done to your face from chewing it off.
Hold tight the glowstick crew.

Honestly, this has got to be one of the most disappointing shows I've done for a while. My advice is to take it with a pinch of salt. I was off my game. And I apologise for that.
Still lots of brand new tunes for you to listen to. So if you want to risk it, I hope you enjoy it as much as you can.
Until next time, and at a better quality.

Alright treacles and geezers.
Absolute fire of a show for you this week if I do say so myself. Was hype after watching the amazing opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games. Have to say I was blown away, and took some of that inspiration to the decks with me.
Lock in for a marathon session worthy of the Olympic gold.
Big up.

What's crackalacking people? I used to work with a guy from The Bronx who used to say that to me every day. He must have felt clever calling me a cracker on the sly daily like I didn't know. We got on well so I let it slide. And I still imitate him to this day. So there's that.
Anyway, this week I ducked out of Sub.FM duties but didn't want to let you down, so I still recorded a little rinse out for you. For some reason I decided to start recording at 11pm like a derksplash. On a related note, my Monday in the office will be tired and painful now. So I hope you're happy.

Word to your mother. Brainz is back for another issue of Bumpy UKG.
This week's show wasn't on Sub.FM as I had a prior engagement. Still, I threw down for you.
Find some fresh beats, coupled with some old school Russian Roulette mixing. What I mean by that is the 2 half is me finding any random vinyl and chucking it on. Made for an interesting result.
I hope you enjoy. Have a great week.

Hello kiddiewinks. Time for another hilarious session of UK Garage with the Brainz.
I mention it being hilarious, and this is due to how on point I was.

EASY FAMBLE!
Some proper LOL Garage this week. What that means I don't exactly know. But it was a bit of a strange show. I was slightly experimental. And unfortunately the past fortnight has been pretty slim picking for new UKG. So the 2nd half of the show you will find me just rinsing out some banging tracks of recent.
I like to try as hard as I can to make every show branding spanking new. Failed this week. But to be honest, it's a fairly harsh challenge and I think I'm in the minority, so please, if you have it in your heart, forgive me.
Can you hear violins playing?

Yes people. Hello and welcome to another instalment of the Brainz show. This week was especially close to my heart. And this is because I get to give you the first glimpse of my new project: Orpheus.
We may have let the horse out of the stable a little early on this one, but I was so excited to share some of the work we've been doing that we ran with what we had. Orpheus consists of myself and my boy, beatmaker Muad'dib. We've been in the studio the past few weeks putting together some tracks for our first ep. Today, you get a sneak peak of a demo mix of the lead track - Connected. It's still not really ready for the prime time, but as I said, we were so excited to get it out there that I had to spin what we had today. Would be interested to hear feedback if you fancy sending any. Either leave me a comment, or Tweet me, babes, yeah?
Anyway, as for the rest of the show, it's the usual fire of brand spanking new music for this show. Hope you enjoying listening!

NERD ALERT!
Yes that's right: I bought an iPad 3. Ooo wow the pixels. So dramatically different. Not a waste of money at all. Honest.
So what have I done so far with my iPad 3? Bought a bunch of apps I'll never use. Watched Tulisa noshing off Fazer in glorious SD-on-HD style just to make it feel that much dirtier. According to Dappy it's Fazer anyway. He's says he'd know that dick anywhere. Cute. Bet he's got the anal scarring to prove it too.
And the last thing I did with my iPad 3 was record an episode of the Tube Train Muthafucking Tear-up.
I went for a more traditional flavour of new school UK Garage. You know, the type that still mainly sounds like old school. For taste, I've splashed in some nice new Futurey type garage riddos as it will bring spice to any dish that needs livening up.
Find some of the freshest vibes, including some forthcoming material. Magical.
So there you have it: Mixed live on the London Underground using a 3rd Gen iPad just after it came out - The Tube Train Tear-up Episode #6.
Enjoy, kiddiwinks.

So it turns out too much brostep can actually fuck your brain.
The morning of my radio show, en route to one of my favourite culinary places (Wimpy) I had Skrillex pumping out the motor. Whilst rocking back and fourth, gripping my steering wheel, shouting BROOOOOO I think I did some damage to my musical section of my brain. I say this as in between some banging music (and I mean BANGING) these badboy tunes were punctuated with quite a few car crash clangs. Most DJs would probably try to be ignorant of this, but I get especially conscious when I have an off show. So that's why I'm blaming the Skrill. Hopefully it didn't affect things too much, and I got back on point further into the show.
So please don't let my Skrillex-induced haze stop you downloading this episode as the music is FRESH and the tunes are not to be missed.

Some wicked tunes on road right now and this year is already shaping up to be a doozy, with massive releases from labels such as Black Butter, Squelch & Clap and L2S.
I also did one of my first "crate digging" sessions with MP3s and pulled out some tunes from a couple years back for a change-up.

Yes people! We're back on the tube train ripping up some riddims.
For this instalment of iPad mix-magic, I've drawn for the Super Ninja Bass Squad!
In a nutshell, I looked back at the countless tunes I've accrued over the past 12 months and had a re-listen. There's so many tracks that I've managed to throw by the wayside by not paying proper attention to the actual tunes I own.
What we've got is a mash of secret sleeper tunes from the year past that I never got round to playing.
And the best thing is - there's still plenty more! This episode ran to nearly 100 minutes where I just kept going back for more. And I still have more left. So there may be a follow up with the Super Ninja Support squad after this!
Anyway, have a listen and see what you think. I enjoyed putting it together and I hope you enjoy listening.

Here's part 2 to last week's epic show. Getting the end of hour 2, I was promptly told to shut my noise as I talk to much, along with bringing the dirtiest basslines I could find. Being a man that likes to please, I did as I was told. Most of this music you would have heard on this show before, but don't let that take anything away from this prolapse-inducing mix up.

SEXY TIME! Smooth UK Garage for you this time round with my journeys on the London Underground.
I went through and randomly picked a bunch of gems that I haven't played in a while and threw them together using my favourite shiny slate-like device.

Hope you enjoy!

Fresh UK Garage and bassy savageness to kick off your week for you. This show I got to showcase some of the latest and greatest in underground music, and it was so hype that the listeners wouldn't let me go.
The next DJ didn't turn up, so the show ran for 4 hours! This is the first 2 hours of that set. I had a lot of unplayed tracks from my last show, so it was almost lucky that I was light on the ground for fresh music. So I still got to fill the show with loads of brand new beats.
Maximum respect to the Sub.FM chatters who were on it.
Please spread the love by catching me on Facebook, Twitter and iTunes. And check back NEXT WEEK for part 2 of this marathon set, where I'll be taking darker than a Nigerian satirist in a coal mine.
Safe ones,

Who wants some music that's so fresh that it takes stink out of other unfresh things?
That's right, we're back on Sub.FM for a show on the 5th of November that produced fireworks. Every single tune played was the first time I'd played it (apart from 1, can you spot it?) so the music was fresher than a Norwegian's special place.
Why, oh why, do I keep banging on about Norway... I give you Mr Doug Stanhope, who tickled me with a revelation this week.
There used to be a clip from Doug's DVD that I uploaded here. It got taken down. And in turn, my YouTube account got restricted for 6 months. Be careful with copyrighted material! YouTube have a strap-on and they're not afraid to use it.
Until next time...
B
I promised a flashback episode, so here's one, and it's a doozy.
Here's a mix I did about 7 years ago now. It was around the time that garage had gotten shit and was just on the way back. I was getting bang into my old school as there was nothing else about. There was also some top cheese funky house on the scene. I was a ball hair away from turning into a full cheese house DJ. Luckily my soul is still intact and I didn't stray.
This mix has a nice blend of classic club, house and garage tunes. Definitely one for the car if that's your vibe. Check it, and let me know what you're saying. Anyway, better late than never!
Slack. That is the one word I can use to describe me as of recent. I'm behind on my life, and as such I'm also behind on this podcast too. There's SO MUCH bad boy music out and I'm gutted I had to miss my show on the week just gone.
If you're still clucking for more up to date sounds, make sure you check out the latest episode of the Tube Train Tear-up, which has some current and forthcoming Future Garage and UKG sounds all mixed up on an iPad on my commute. It's a nice vibe and I've really enjoyed listening back to it.
Soon come with more,

Future Garage! GREAT SCOTT!
We've got a FG Spesh for you this time round on the Tube Train Tear-up. I've gone through and dug out some of my favourite Future Garage hits from this year and mashed them up into an 80 minute tear-up on the London Underground using an Apple iPad. I also flitted over to the Central Line in parts for this mix due to National Express East Anglia running a Mickey Mouse train service. Man I hate train companies. And I hate ticket inspectors more. Fuckers.
But I digress. I enjoyed putting this mix together and am happy with the result. I also got to play with the new upgraded version of Algoriddim's Djay iPad app, which now has an FX module. Happy days!
So strap in, dial the accelerator up to 88mph, and lets listen to some sounds of the future.

Okay, so why Bitch Pudding? That will be a mystery you'll have to ponder. All you need to know is this show is solid bitch pudding.
The chat room was alive for this show. Lots of action, interaction and bassline refraction. To be honest, some of the mixing was looser than a post-curry stool, but it didn't stop the hype. So listen back, turn up the bass, and rave as hard as you can.
And you you fancy helping out, please leave a comment on this site or drop me a rating and a comment on iTunes..

So I've already swayed from what is supposed to be the norm. Given that I'm on my first vacation for about 5 years I think you can let me off.
Episode 2 of the Tube Train Tear Up was mixed on a Boeing 747 flying over the Atlantic Ocean. Possibly the highest ever altitude that a UKG set has been recorded. In fact, I think I'm going to start touting that as a claim to fame. Maybe if I add the word "buddeh" to the end of the sentence then Canadian chicks will like me.
I decided to draw for some bumpy 4x4 for this episode. I wanted a chance to play a vibe that I don't get to do very often nowadays due to me primarily pushing solid new bass vibes on my Sub.FM show.
There was an occasional interruption from an air hostess but hopefully that didn't affect the mix too much. She was lovely though. And I felt bad for having the phrase "
Upfront, brand new music as per this week. Trivial info for you - this week was my first week streaming from a Mac. Decided to dump my noisy tower for a Mac Mini. Because of this the levels get a bit toasty at the beginning so sorry about that.
There's some nice new tunage out there at the moment. I'm preparing to put together a proper mix CD soon. Will put that together after my holiday which I'm taking this week.
Wow, all this personal info about me. How cool. I can share more stuff if you like? Like my height, weight, favourite pastimes and toilet paper preference? No? Okay then. Just listen to the riddos and I'll shut the fuck up.

So after an interesting week in my email inbox I hit Romford on Friday evening with a pair of garage trendies who were 2 kneepads short of going full-raver. We had a sick pair of sushi-flavoured Nike IDs but luckily we weren't skateboarding gay style. It was the first UKG night I'd been to where someone had dropped Tinie Tempah - Pass Out so we didn't hang around, which was a shame as the Vodka Red Bulls were just kicking in. Did get a nice little period of the heavy-hitting UKG on a big system which I don't get to do often enough.
Anyway, watch out for my sick new ident from my boy Phonetix which caused a bit of a protest and some bums-to-the-wall action, but still got a 5s up. Oh gosh.
Until next time.

This week I was back covering for Para on Sub.FM and for me the pressure was on to keep the levels high.
Lots of new riddims this week. Also breaking the cherry on one of the biggest 2-step joints so far this year from ex-Artful Dodger Pete Devereux. Watch out for 2 mixes of the forthcoming smash Good Love by DEVolution, which has been getting heavy support from Radio 1xtra and is destined for big things. The "Anthems not Bangers" remix is a great nod back to the golden era of UKG, with a modern twist. Large bit of music.
There's also some grit in there for the people that want it.
So munch up the bass, and I'll see you when I see you.

So DannyB0yUK asked where this week's show was on Twitter. Recently, I've had no time to keep the podcast up to date weekly so I've only been posting my fortnightly radio shows.
The tweet made me feel guilty for being lazy, so I whacked up a quick show that I found on my web server. Problem is, this show is liable to shoot any grain of credibility I have into the ground.

All of this equates to a strange show. Lots of new music but it was a bit of a weird one where I was getting used to using Serato for the first time.
Overall, I was loving it. And once I'm used to it I'll be pushing the levels even higher.
Serato is also the reason that this podcast is now on Mixcloud, due to the awesomeness of the playlist functionality. It's a trial at the moment, so we'll see how that goes in the coming weeks.
So check it out, listen back, and if you're lovin' it like McD's then drop me a rating and a comment on iTunes.
Maximum.

Yes yes my bumpy UKG crew.
Querk ones from me. Here's a flashback to 2009 when I'm on Pressure Radio. This one is a mixup with no talking, just riddims.
I'll be honest, I haven't listened back to this before posting it up, so hopefully it's not all pots and pans. I know that I posted this on the t'interweb before so I must have thought it was okay then!
Safe ones, and more live bizzo next week.

First of all, massive, MASSIVE shout out to everyone that's been downloading the podcast.
This month I got an email from my service provider telling me I've managed to do 60GBs worth more of bandwidth than their own cluster of business sites combined. Guess what this is due to? That's right, you guys.
Without me looking into it properly I didn't realise that this podcast at the moment is a roaring success. There's been over 13,000 downloads started via the podcast feed alone, with more downloads directly via the site.
I'm estimating right now there's between 2000 and 2500 downloads of podcast episodes each month. That's HUGE.
There was even a point last week were the podcast had an episode sitting in the iTunes chart. I don't keep an eye on this closely enough because I didn't expect to be on there, so this may not even be the first time. All I can say is thanks for getting me there.
If you want to help further, don't forget you can leave iTunes feedback. The more comments and 5-star ratings I get will help increase the popularity of the podcast and therefore will push UKG forward that little bit more. I'll really appreciate it if you could help. And I also love to hear feedback - good or bad.
Now, in addition to UKG reaching the masses in a way I never expected, we also have another initiative that kicked off just after my last live show. Those into UKG and follow it on the interwebs may have heard of the fabled UKG Dropbox started by Sub.FM's very own DJ Para.
The dropbox has become a place for DJs and Producers to share their productions with each other to make sure all the right people are pushing the freshest music possible. There's even some monster names that have jumped on board. And It's a rip roaring success.
This week's show is my first show since the dropbox went live. Every tune in the show is the first time I've played it out so you are in for a barrage of beautiful new music. Hectic.
Apologies for the crusty sound on some of the tracks. My CDJs are definitely on their last legs. I'm in the market for a MIDI controller with Traktor, so if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them in the comments.
Thanks once again to everyone that's made this podcast larger than Goatse's arsehole. And here's to more UK garage every week!

You may or may not know I've actually been doing "dis ting" for many years now.
Back in the day, when I was (much) younger and more stupid, I managed to get myself on the legendary 89.4FM - London Underground. LUG kicked off many a UKG legend's careers, such as MJ Cole, Greg Stainer and Mr Buzzhard to name the 3 that come to mind immediately.
At the time, I was going by DJ G-Man, which the station didn't want as there were BARE G-Men all over the shop.
My brother and I were taking a Friday night slot and we wanted a gimmick. After much argument, we settled on cartoon mice as the personification, and thus DJ Pinky and Mr Brainz were born.
Most of our shows consisted of blazing way too much, arguing constantly, and clanging more than a bull in a kitchenwares shop.
Yeah we were shit. Real shit. Which I mainly blamed on the fact that we both learnt on a pair of fucked belt drive decks for years and the first time we had extended access to Technics 1210s was when we started on LUG.
I was 16 or 17 when I started on that station. We got boyed off quite a bit but we enjoyed it.
Anyway onto this week's episode.
It's 2002 (I think), I'm about 19 or 20, and my brother Pinky has just moved to Spain and it's still legal to play 702 - You Don't Know without being shot in 6 countries. This is probably the only audio I have of me live on 89.4fm on my own. It's not the best mix, but it's a piece of personal history to me.
There's also a few suspect bang up Fruityloop jobs and some bait Cool-Edit-Bootlegging, but I'll leave you to find them and chuckle.
Part 2 is still floating around somewhere which I may post in the future, but I think by that point it was about 1 in the morning when I finished the show, I was dead on my feet and at the bottom of my bag.
Anyway, these are my roots, so check 'em out.

Buckle up, strap a nappy on, and press play on this week's show.
We got loads more new music for you this week with the levels hitting peak al throughout the show.
I spend most of the time dancing around the studio so apologies if some of the mixes are late or a little loose.
Big up the chat room crew over at Sub.FM who were bang on it.
Apologies for the no-show on the podcast last week. I had to play my sick note as I wasn't very well at all. Hopefully it won't happen again.
Anyway, make sure you got some toilet roll handy for this one, and happy pant-shitting.
Big up

Alright you massive ringhole lickers? We're back with another episode of the Brainzcast.
It's another show with the latest and greatest in UK Garage and Future Garage, with a bit of dirty, stinkin; UK Funky for good measure.
So sit back, turn it up and bang your head to the sounds of DJ BrainZ and the best in new music.
Don't forget I'd love to hear feedback. Please leave a comment on the blog or rate me & comment on iTunes.
Respekt

Just wanted to take a time out to say thanks for your continued support of the Brainz podcast. This week you've got the DVD extras from last week's show. I played a random bunch of tunes from the past few years for your listening pleasure.
Really appreciate all the feedback I've been getting and nuff respect to everyone downloading and listening to the shows.
Don't forget I'd love to hear feedback. Please leave a comment on the blog or rate me & comment on iTunes.

UPDATE: Lots of people have been finding this post after searching for 2011 UK garage. Maximum respect for looking and ending up here. This episode was recorded and released in January 2011. There's fresh music at least every other week here, so please check out the podcast homepage for the latest episode or subscribe via iTunes to get the latest episode as soon as it drops of the 2011 UK Garage podcast every garagehead should love - Bumpy UKG with DJ BrainZ. Cheers.

There's been a lot of big talk about 2011 and UK Garage. Producers and DJs alike are getting excited for what the year may bring. Slowly, the UKG crowd of old are starting to move forward and embrace a new sound.
I was rocking HARD when I recorded this show. There's so much good music around at the moment that I had great fun recording it. I hope you have as much fun as I did when you listen to it.
UKG is firing, and 2011 is looking brighter than ever.
Don't forget I'd love to hear feedback. Please leave a comment on the blog or rate me & comment on iTunes.
Until next week...

As promised (be it a little delayed) is another show from the Brainz UKG vault.
We're going back to September 2009. A time where I think we can all agree had no significance whatsoever.
Hang on, that's a bit harsh. I'm guessing there. Apparently loads of shit happened. I'd wager that none of them were as important as this show when it aired.
Enough rambling, more riddims. See you Saturday 3-5PM on Sub.FM for some live bizzo.

Happy new year!
It was about 3am on New Years Day when I was mixing it up with 2 pals in a bit of a state and it came to me: Tomorrow I'm doing a crate digging show.
Hopefully my neighbours didn't mind the racket up till 4 in the morning with some old school sounds. Was definitely worse for wear in this show so apologies for the clangtastic action in some places.
This was also the first time I've done a pure vinyl radio show for bloody years. Even though there was some proper shoddy mixes and strange tune choices at times I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Here's to a blindin' 2011. All the best for the coming year.

Merry Christmas everyone! And a special seasons greetings to all the listeners of the Brainz podcast. Here's a present for you.
As promised, here's a banging old skool UK Garage mix to be the first one you put on shiny new iPod that Santa brought you.
This was a mix I put together for the fine people at YouDunKnow.co.uk and went out in their podcast a week or two back. It was a selection of some old skool bangers.
So download, whack it on the stereo and take a mouthful of turkey and beer.
Happy Holidays
Brainz

Week 2 of a garage-free garage podcast as it's Christmas.
Every year I dust off my tiny pile of random, non UKG records for a clangfest of ill proportions in celebration of a magical Jew.
We're keeping it steak bake, with a dash of jungle, a pinch of club classics, and a dab of UKG at the start.
Random insight into my life - I moved house this week. Just before the show I had to make a new home for my decks and re-construct the stand they live in. I thought I'd just made it in the nick of time.
As it turned out my head was so scrambled that I thought my show was half and hour later than it was. I thought DJ Skipple who was up after me was being a bit impatient and eager. Turns out it was actually me being a complete arsehole without realising. I can't apologise enough to bad boy selector Skipple Banton. Catch him live after me every fortnight on Sub.FM from 5pm spinning some wickedness.
Anyway, next week we're back to the usual UKG runnings with an old skool UKG mix. I'm going to drop this on Christmas morning so it can be the first thing you download onto your shiny new iPod that Santa brought you. Just hit the iTunes button and search "Brainz".
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas, and please remember to comment and rate the Brainz podcast on iTunes

This week we're taking a dark turn with some dubstep from DJ and producer Ficktion.
2010 definitely was the year dubstep broke into the mainstream. With its roots firmly in UK garage I thought it only fair to give it a bit of a showcase.
Ficktion takes us through some of the hottest dubstep thumpers of 2010. So put your headphones on, your angry face on, and one-foot skank to these sick sounds.
Next week is the Brainz Xmas show. So don't miss that!
Back live in the mix this week with some fresh, banging tracks. Hang tight everyone that was locked to the live show. We're slowly counting down to Christmas. My next live show is in the diary for the 18th of December and will be completely different to the usual vibes. If you're around, lock in for my festive special at Sub.FM from 3PM.
Big up to the crew that have finally started leaving some comments and ratings on iTunes. Leave me a comment and I will big you up live on the show. (Bear in mind that I will only see comments on the UK iTunes store).
Keep it steak bake.

As promised, here's part 2 of my 4 hour show from last week. Riddims still a gwarn, be be aware I'd already been standing up and mixing for 2 hours at the start of this.
Rate this podcast on iTunes you bastard. Do it. Why won't you do it? Cos you're gay. That's why. Stop swallowing sausage and start giving me 5 stars. It's just rude to choose cock over me. Unless you're a chick. Then I understand.
Thanks for listening. Really. But you're still a batty.

Easy now. Went on a savage 4 hour set this week. Banged out a chunk of tracks for your listening pleasure. This week you get the first two hours of the set. Expect bass, beats and bubblation.
I'll apologise in advance for the levels. I was broadcasting way too loud so there is a bit of distortion on the recording.
Blah blah blah comment yadda yadda yadda rate on iTunes. No one's bothering right now. I'm not worried. Subscription numbers are still going up and I just appreciate that people are listening to my sounds.
Part two of this show comes next week.
Big up.

Flashing back to a peaceful, less economically troubled time of 5 years ago this week. It's 2005, It's my birthday, I'm on the now defunct Crunch FM and I'm playing absolute randomness.
Expect a lot of club classics and someone throwing some pots and pans around in the background.
Enjoy the music, and if you want to catch me LIVE and less clangy, make your way down to Shoreditch this Thursday. I'm playing at B.O.M.B. @ Cafe 1001, 91 Brick Lane, London on Thursday 18th November 2010.

Bass in your face massively right here. The Sub.FM Chat room was hot on it all show and maximum respect anyone in there making noise.
Catch me live every fortnight on the award winning Sub.FM, Saturday 3pm-5pm. I'm also potentially playing in Shoreditch in a few weeks, so watch this space!
Don't forget I'd love to hear feedback. Please leave a comment on the blog or rate me & comment on iTunes.

Old skool UK Garage this week with a flashback podcast episode. I'm now fortnightly on Sub FM so every other week will either be a studio mix, guest mix or a flashback to a previous show.
We're going back to April 2007 this week with an hour of crisp old school UKG gems, followed by some cracking tracks from the noughties.
It's a bit of a long mix, but don't let that put you off. If anything, just catch the first hour for some memories and head bopping rave-age.
Cheers for keeping it UKG with me, and don't forget to give me some feedback on the comment form or rating me on iTunes (I really need some ratings please!) I'm working hard to put this out every week so I'd appreciate some 5 star action if you so feel to help.
Cheers,

Debut for my new show on Sub.fm this week, rolling out a dark lineup of bass, breaks and beats. Happy with how it went and was well received, so hopefully you're in for a treat.
I'll be live on Sub FM every fortnight on Saturday 3pm - 5pm. Then of course you can catch the playback here.
If you locked in live, big up yourself. If you didn't, thank fuck I podcast, eh? Don't forget I'd love to hear feedback. Please leave a comment on the blog or rate me & comment on iTunes.

More pots and pans this week with some fresh upfront music. Don't miss the biggy by Para mid-show. I'm not saying that me smashing out a fireplace in the morning affected my mixing, but it certainly didn't help.
I'm renovating my new place at the moment so there's a high chance next week's show will be an archive playback show.
Cheers for listening, and don't forget I'd love to hear feedback. Please leave a comment on the blog or rate me & comment on iTunes.
Big up.

Frenzied show this week. Lots of new music with a massive freebie dropped by UKGTunes.co.uk. Was a rush to get on air so it may be a bit more manic and clang-ic than you're used to!
If you're loving the vibes please leave a comment on the blog or rate me & comment on iTunes.
