For a materialist exchanges of devotional service for lusty desires are always very prominent. As soon as lusty desires awaken, one's senses, mind, life, soul, religious principles, patience, intelligence, shyness, beauty, strength, memory and truthfulness are all vanquished. One can render unalloyed devotional service only when there are no material desires in one's mind. Let us discuss more in this session.
Devotional service is not a matter of sentimental speculation or imaginative ecstasy. It's substance is practical activity. There are well-defined stages of systematic growth in spiritual life. A devotee can judge his current level and try to attain the next one. Let us understand: What are the different stages? In which stage we are in? How to go the next one?
Generally, people get confused whenever we talk about the form of the Lord. Some think that the universal form of Kṛṣṇa which was manifested to Arjuna is more important than His personal form. According to them, the personal form of the Supreme is something imaginary. They believe that in the ultimate issue, the Absolute Truth is not a person. But the transcendental process is described in Bhagavad-gītā, Chapter Four: to hear about Krishna from authorities. Let us understand: What is the form of the Lord? How to perceive this form? What are different aspects of Supreme?
Honesty is considered as a very good quality. An honest person is respected everywhere in this material world. But what if a thief projects himself as very honest? He sincerely divides looted money with his other co-thieves. He takes care of children and women's rights as well. He is very much transparent also. Can we call him Honest? Lets us understand: What is the actual meaning of being Honest? Who is Honest? Are we honest?
The real purpose of human life is to attain liberation from material entanglement. Such liberation may be achieved by many methods, but all of them more or less depend on tapasya, austerity, which begins with celibacy. There are ten prescribed methods on the path to liberation. Those who have fully surrendered to the lotus feet of Lord Vāsudeva, Krishna, automatically achieve the results of all these methods. Let us understand in this session.

The vigraha, the Deity of Kṛṣṇa, appears by Kṛṣṇa’s mercy. Because Kṛṣṇa is alakṣya, invisible, He becomes visible to give us the facility to see Him. It is not that Kṛṣṇa is stone, wood, or metal. Kṛṣṇa is always Kṛṣṇa, but because we cannot see anything beyond material elements like wood, stone, and metal, He appears one in a form made of these elements. Kṛṣṇa is everything, and therefore Kṛṣṇa is stone also, but He is not the kind of stone that cannot act. One should not think deity as stone. Svayam eva sphuraty adaḥ. The Deity, although apparently stone, may speak with a devotee. There are many instances in which this has happened where so-called stone has spoken, walked and even STOLEN for his devotees. Let us understand one such pastime of the Lord.
What is the Bhagavad Gita? The purpose of Bhagavad Gita is to deliver mankind from the nescience of material existence. Every man is in difficulty in so many ways, as Arjuna also was in difficulty in having to fight the Battle of Kurukshetra. Arjuna surrendered unto Sri Krsna, and consequently this Bhagavad Gita was spoken. Not only Arjuna, but every one of us is full of anxieties because of this material existence. Our very existence is in the atmosphere of nonexistence. Out of so many human beings who are suffering, there are a few who are actually inquiring about their position, as to what they are, why they are put into this awkward position and so on. Unless one is awakened to this position of questioning his suffering, unless he realizes that he doesn't want suffering but rather wants to make a solution to all sufferings, then one is not to be considered a perfect human being. Humanity begins when this sort of inquiry is awakened in one's mind. In the Brahma-sutra this inquiry is called "brahma-jijnasa." Every activity of the human being is to be considered a failure unless he inquires about the nature of the Absolute. Therefore those who begin to question why they are suffering or where they came from and where they shall go after death are proper students for understanding Bhagavad Gita. For them it again raises a question : How to understand the secrets of Bhagavad Gita. So, in today’s video it is to be discussed : 3 Secrets to understand the mystery of Srimad Bhagavad Gita. One cleanses himself daily by taking a bath in water, but one who takes his bath only once in the sacred Ganges water of the Bhagavad Gita cleanses away all the dirt of material life. Because Bhagavad Gita is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one need not read any other Vedic literature. One need only attentively and regularly hear and read Bhagavad Gita. In the present age, mankind is so absorbed with mundane activities that it is not possible to read all of the Vedic literature. But this is not necessary. This one book, Bhagavad Gita, will suffice because it is the essence of all Vedic literatures and because it is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. It is said that one who drinks the water of the Ganges certainly gets salvation, but what to speak of one who drinks the waters of Bhagavad Gita? Throughout the entire world, everyone is making big, big plans to adjust the miseries of the material world, and this is true at present, in the past and in the future. In this material world it is not possible to become anxiety free. A person is bound to take a lot of anxiety either for himself or his extended selves. A pure devotee, although transcendental to the material world, also takes anxiety. Let us understand: What is a devotee's anxiety? For whom he is anxious? What is the remedy?
While committing a sinful act, a person due to ignorance thinks that no one has witnessed his sinful activity. He is free to do whatever he likes. But the fact is that he is being witnessed by so many living entities at each and every step of his life which he himself cannot see. Nature's Laws are perfect. Nobody can escape these laws unless one takes complete shelter of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Lets us understand: Who all are witnesses of our every single act? What is the cause of sinful activities? What is real atonement?
It is said: “For man, mind is the cause of bondage and mind is the cause of liberation Mind absorbed in sense objects is the cause of bondage, and mind detached from sense objects is the cause of liberation. Therefore the mind which is always engaged in Krishna consciousness is the cause of supreme liberation. The mind becomes sinful because we are always engaged in sinful activities. To understand the Lord and His activities, one must free his mind from all contamination of the material world. If one's mind is always absorbed in the thought of Krishna, that very qualification will purify one and keep one purified always. Let us understand What is the nature of mind ? How it is our enemy ? How to control this ?

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna, is known as Triyuga, which means that He is manifest in three yugas. But we have heard there are four yugas. What about the fourth one? Does the Lord not appear in Kali Yuga? Who will deliver people of Kali Yuga? Actually in the Age of Kali the Lord appears not directly but in disguise. Because the Lord is not directly perceived in Kali-yuga but is directly known in the other three yugas, His name is Triyuga. Let us understand more about this covered incarnation of the Lord.
Gaudiya Vaishnava is a religious movement within Vaishnavism, one of the main Hindu schools of thought. It is also known as Chaitanya Vaishnavism as this movement originated with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who is an incarnation of Lord Sri Krishna. Worship of God in Gaudiya Vaishnavism is through Bhakti yoga or devotional service. The philosophy explains that the jiva (self or soul) is identical to God and at the same time different. This concept is called Achintya Bheda Abheda, or “inconceivable oneness and difference.” The human mind cannot understand this concept, but it can be experienced in Bhakti yoga.
Ramayana is the pride of every Indian, the history which happened ages ago (Ramayana) is still as popular and as new as ever, and Shri Ram and Mother Sita are the life and soul of an Indian. Whenever it comes to an ideal government, the most appropriate example is Rama-Rajya. Although Lord Rama was an ideal King, Lord Ram left Sita. Why? In Bhagavad Puran (9.10.54) it is said: eka-patnī-vrata-dharo rājarṣi-caritaḥ śuciḥ sva-dharmaṁ gṛha-medhīyaṁ śikṣayan svayam ācarat Lord Rāmacandra took a vow to accept only one wife and have no connection with any other women. He was a saintly king, and everything in His character was good, untinged by qualities like anger. He taught good behavior for everyone, especially for householders, in terms of varṇāśrama-dharma. Thus He taught the general public by His personal activities. Everywhere Rama is glorified. Furthermore, it is said that during Rama’s reign the forests, the rivers, the hills and mountains, the states, the seven islands, and the seven seas were all favorable in supplying the necessities of life for all living beings. But how could such a magnanimous soul, Lord Rama exile Sita?
Krishna's complexion is as polished as a powdered eye ointment. It surpasses the beauty of a newly formed cloud and is softer than a blue lotus flower. Indeed, His complexion is so pleasing that it attracts the eyes and minds of everyone, and it is so powerful that it defies all comparison. [CC.AN.64] The luster of Kṛṣṇa’s body is more brilliant than that of a newly formed cloud, and His yellow dress is more attractive than newly arrived lightning. A peacock feather decorates His head, and on His neck hangs a lovely necklace of brilliant pearls. As He holds His charming flute to His lips, His face looks as beautiful as the full autumn moon. By such beauty, Madana-Mohana, the enchanter of Cupid, is increasing the desire of My eyes to see Him. [CC.AN.63]
Who was the first created being? Modern understanding is that our predecessors were less intelligent and uncultured. They were not having any scientific understanding of the world like we have today. Quite averse to this Vedas states "The first created living being is endowed with perfect knowledge and intelligence by the Lord." Let us understand: Who is this first created Being? How he takes birth? Were our predecessors less intelligent?
When we talk about Bhagavad Gita, we often hear this word "Renunciation". General understanding of Renunciation is to give up one's property, wealth, belongings etc. That is why many people shun away from Bhagavad Gita considering they have to leave everything in order to understand Gita. Srila Rūpa Gosvāmī one of the foremost Vaishnava Acharya talks about the real understanding of renunciation. Śrīla Madhvācārya states that the Lord is turya-sthitaḥ, always situated in transcendence. He is not at all effected by the modes of nature. Even if He sleeps He is not in ignorance. Intelligence refers to the power to analyze things in their proper perspective, and knowledge refers to understanding what is spirit and what is matter. Mind is the instrument for feeling different material experiences, but intelligence is deliberative and can change everything for the better. The intelligent person, therefore, can attain salvation from the illusion of material existence by proper use of intelligence. An intelligent person can detect the awkward position of material existence and thus begin to inquire as to what he is, why he is subjected to different kinds of miseries, and how to get rid of all miseries, and thus, by good association, an advanced intelligent person can turn towards the better life of self-realization. The Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Supersoul within the core of everyone's heart, gives inspirations for action according to one's mentality. All of these mentalities are merely facilities given by Krishna to the person acting. Bhagavad-gitā therefore says, mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaṁ ca: [Bg. 15.15] everyone works according to the inspiration given by the Supersoul.
Because everyone has a different goal of life, everyone acts differently, as guided by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.Let us understand how to take inspiration from the Lord inside the heart.
The Lord says in Bhagavad-gitā (9.31), kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati: "O son of Kunti, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes." Therefore, unless one is protected by the mercy of the Lord, no remedial measure can act effectively. One should consequently depend fully on the causeless mercy of the Lord.
Although as a matter of routine duty one must of course accept other remedial measures, no one can protect one who is neglected by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In this material world, everyone is trying to counteract the onslaught of material nature, but everyone is ultimately fully controlled by material nature.
Lord Ramchandra is called as Maryada Purushottam. His behaviour was ideal on all the respects. Let us understand some of the teachings from Ramayana and also hear some of the glories of Lord Ramchandra.
In the Padma Purāṇa it is said, sampradāya-vihīnā ye mantrās te niṣphalā matāḥ. There are four sampradāyas, or disciplic successions, which are authorized for delivering transcendental knowledge . If one wants to advance in spiritual power, one must receive his mantras from one of these bona fide sampradāyas; otherwise he will never successfully advance in spiritual life.
All of the four original sampradāyas are still scrupulously engaged in the transcendental service of the Lord up to date, and they all declare that Lord Kṛṣṇa, Mukunda, is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and no other personality is equal to Him or greater than Him.

Every year the world spends more money on crime prevention and control. Yet despite these efforts, crime rates are soaring. Big think-tankers of the world are giving various 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to mitigate the miseries of the world, but the fact is that these solutions are something like 𝘖𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳.
The entire world is under the illusion that people will be happy by advancing in materialistic measures to counteract the miseries of conditional life, but this attempt will never be successful.
Let us hear solution from Prahalad Maharaj.
The Lord is described in the Vedānta-sūtra (1.1.12) as ānanda-mayo ’bhyāsāt. He is by nature the reservoir of all pleasures, full of bliss and satisfied within Himself. He is not dependent on anyone else for His happiness. There is no moroseness, no unhappiness for the Lord. Anyone who comes in touch with Lord also ultimately attains this same nature.
But there is one reason because of which Lord is also having anxiety, and knowingly or unknowingly, all of us are cause of this anxiety.

If one wants to advance in spiritual life and actually experience the nectar of devotional service, he should clearly understand the principle of Austerity. In executing penance, one must be determined to return home, back to Godhead, and must decide to undergo all types of tribulations for that end. Even for material prosperity, name and fame, one has to undergo severe types of penance, otherwise no one can become an important figure in this material world. Why, then, are there severe types of penance for the perfection of devotional service?

Let us understand this.
In the material world there is keen competition between animal and animal, man and man, community and community, nation and nation. But the devotees of the Lord rise above such competitions. They do not compete with the materialist because they are on the path back to Godhead, where life is eternal and blissful. In the material world, everyone is envious of everyone else, and therefore there is competition. But the transcendental devotees of the Lord are not only free from material envy, but are well-wishers to everyone, and they strive to establish a competition less society with God in the center.

Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita (7.3):

It is not easy to attain perfection in spiritual life. One among thousands may become prefect. In Vaiṣṇava philosophy there are three ways for perfection. Anyone trying to become a prefect devotee must know these three ways. An aspiring devotee should follow the rules and regulations of Bhakti Yoga under the guidance of an expert spiritual master. By following sincerely like this, he can get the mercy of spiritual master and thus make his life successful.
Let us understand these "THREE WAYS OF PERFECTION".
No kind of material qualification is the means for satisfying the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Any material quality or possession like wealth, an aristocratic family, beauty, austerity, education, sensory expertise, luster etc. is ultimately given by Lord only. Lord is not after all these. He is simply after sincere devotional service.
A devotee may not possess any of the above qualities but still holds a very unique position. So much so that even an animal who is a devotee can satisfy Lord but not a learned non-devotee Brahmana.

Lord Chaitanya and Nityananda are very merciful. They are the essence of all incarnations, and they have made this process of self-realization very joyful. There are many incarnations, like Lord Rama and even Krishna, who taught Bhagavad-gita, which requires knowledge and understanding. But Lord Chaitanya and Nityananda introduced a process that is simply joyful, simply chant and dance.
It is the assurance of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu that one will get all perfection by this process. Therefore one must chant with firm faith and conviction.
On the occasion of the appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu let us discuss "MERCY OF MAHAPRABHU".
The spirit soul, as part and parcel of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, has all the good qualities of the Lord. When the spirit soul is contaminated by the material modes of nature, one is considered good or bad with reference to the material qualities. But when one is transcendental to all material qualities, all the good qualities come out. A pure devotee is supposed to possess 26 qualities. All 26 qualities are important but out of them, one is most important. Unless a person has this quality, it is very difficult to understand the essence of spiritual life. Let us understand:

One attains yogic perfection when he is freed from all material diversions and his mind is fixed upon the lotus feet of the Lord. This is called samādhi or trance. Prahlāda Mahārāja attained that stage beyond the senses. Because he was engaged in service, he felt transcendentally situated, and naturally his mind and attention became saturated in transcendence.
Although a small child Prahlāda Mahārāja will be offering most exalted prayers to Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva.

One of the most important aspect of spirituality is worshipping the Lord. After understanding the importance of worshipping one may ask "Whom should I worship ?". Especially in India where we have 330 million Gods. It is not easy to get correct understanding. Some people say that you can worship any one of them, some have the opinion that only Krishna should be worshipped, yet others say that no need to worship anyone, you are yourself God!.
People may have different opinions and understanding but as far as scriptures are concerned it is clear to whom we should worship to get the ultimate benefit.

The activities of the Lord and His devotees are always wonderful and sometimes strange also. When Lord appears as Krishna, He descends in His original form as the enjoyer, and through His sweet pastimes captures the hearts of His devotees.
However, many of Lord Krishna’s pastimes are confusing for ordinary persons because He acts in ways that ordinary persons should not. That is why one of the more interesting names for Krishna is Adhokshaja. This means “one who is beyond the measurement of blunt instruments.”
Let us understand some of the strange pastimes of the Lord.
When a sinful man enjoys material facilities, foolish people sometimes think, "How is it that this sinful man is enjoying whereas a pious man is suffering?" By the will of the Supreme, a sinful man is sometimes given the chance to enjoy the material world as if he were not under the clutches of material nature, just so that he may be fooled. A sinful man who acts against the laws of nature must be punished, but sometimes he is given a chance to play and enjoy this material world.
Indeed it is very difficult to understand this material world.
What is the nature of this material world?

As stated in the Vedas, parāsya śaktir vividhaiva śrūyate svābhāvikī jñāna-bala-kriyā ca, the different potencies of the Lord are always working as an automatic exhibition of His knowledge. It is a fact that Supreme Lord is all-powerful. No one is equal to and greater than Him but still, a demon thinks otherwise. A demon has no experience of the inconceivable power for which the Supreme Lord is called "all-powerful." Lord is full in all six opulence. He is "All-Powerful" at the same time "Most Intelligent" also. Now Hiraṇyakaśipu is going to get bewildered by seeing the wonderful form of the Lord which defies all his logical understanding.

Demons always think that the God of the devotees is fictitious. They think that there is no God and that the so-called religious feeling of devotion to God is but an opiate, a kind of illusion, like the illusions derived from LSD and opium. Contrary to this a devotee who has developed a genuine love for Krishna can always see Him everywhere, whereas a demon, not having a clear understanding of the Supreme Lord, cannot see Him. Although Hiraṇyakaśipu was the greatest demon still he is addressed as "Fortunate". Why?

In this material world, everyone thinks that he has conquered his enemies, without understanding who his real enemies are? Everyone is actually dependent on the reactions of material laws, but still, one thinks himself as independent and thinks that he has conquered all directions. Only a fool will think that I have conquered all my enemies.
For a person who is victorious over the six enemies and is equipoised toward all living entities, there are no enemies. Enemies are merely imagined by one in ignorance. Let us understand who these six enemies are in this session.
The relationship between a pure devotee and the Supreme Personality of Godhead is extremely relishable. A devotee never claims to be very powerful himself; instead, he fully surrenders to the lotus feet of Krishna, being confident that in all dangerous conditions Krishna will protect His devotee. A demon may think that he can harm a devotee but the fact is that nobody can harm a devotee because he is personally protected by the Lord himself. Being ignorant of the above fact now Hiraṇyakaśipu is going to start his end by rebuking Prahalad Maharaj.
As per Vedic culture, one has to perform various kinds of Saṁskāra in order to purify himself. Saṁskāra means "Purificatory Method". There are ten different kinds of Saṁskāra which a human is supposed to perform in order to purify himself. One of the Saṁskāra is marriage which is called Paani Grahan Saṁskāra. Without understanding the importance of this sacred event some people have started calling it as "A waste of time" or "A useless custom imposed by our ancestors". What to speak of performing this Saṁskāra they have started openly criticizing it. They don't value it at all!

"Unless one is sufficiently protected by the Lord, he may fall down from his spiritual position; therefore one has to pray constantly to the Lord for protection and the blessing to carry out one's duty. Lord Caitanya also entrusted His missionary work to His devotees and assured them of His protection against the onslaught of material affection. The path of spiritual life is stated in the Vedas to be like the edge of a sharpened razor. A little inattentiveness may at once create havoc and bloodshed, but one who is a completely surrendered soul, always seeking protection from the Lord in the discharge of his entrusted duties, has no fear of falling into material contamination."

The dirty things in the heart of a conditioned soul are the root cause of all troubles for him. A conditioned soul is surrounded by the manifold miseries of material existence, but on account of his gross ignorance, he is unable to remove the troubles due to dirty things in the heart, accumulated during the long prison life in the material world. He is actually meant to serve the will of the Supreme Lord, but on account of the dirty things in the heart, he likes to serve his concocted desires. Because of the material body, every living entity in material existence is always disturbed by sad-guṇa, six whips.

No one has ever achieved the results he desired from material activities. On the contrary, everyone has been frustrated again and again. Therefore one must not waste his time in such material activities for sensual pleasure, either in this life or in the next. So many nationalists, economists, and other ambitious persons have tried for happiness, individually or collectively, but history proves that they have all been frustrated. Although one is acting according to false ambitions, he thinks he can improve his material conditions by his activities. The Vedas enjoin that one should not try to increase happiness or decrease distress, for this is futile.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead in His Supersoul feature always exists within the cores of the hearts of all living entities. Indeed, He is the well-wisher and friend of all living entities, and there is no difficulty in worshipping the Lord. This Lord in the heart is addressed as Paramātmā. Although the Paramātmā is aloof from the living entities, He knows their intentions, and He gives them facilities by which they can enjoy or suffer the results of their actions. The duty of the living entity is to recognize Paramātmā and establish a relationship with him.

Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita (14.26)
"One who engages in full devotional service, who does not fall down in any circumstance, at once transcends the modes of material nature and thus comes to the level of Brahman.”
By the practice of bhakti-yoga, one immediately comes to the spiritual platform, transcendental to the actions and reactions of the three modes of material nature. The root of ignorance is material consciousness, which must be killed by spiritual consciousness, or Krsna consciousness.
Let us Dissipate this ignorance in this session.
An expert geologist can understand where there is gold and by various processes can extract it from the gold ore. Similarly, a spiritually advanced person can understand how the spiritual particle exists within the body, and thus by cultivating spiritual knowledge he can attain perfection in spiritual life. However, as one who is not expert cannot understand where there is gold, a foolish person who has not cultivated spiritual knowledge cannot understand how the spirit exists within the body.

An intelligent man knows that death is born along with his own birth. He knows that he is dying at every second and that the final touch will be given as soon as his term of life is finished. A man who is not intelligent enough does not inquire about this transcendental life; instead, he inquires about many irrelevant matters which do not concern his eternal existence. We have heard a lot about The Art of Living let's understand now The Art of Dying.
Lord Krishna says in Gita : "Men of small knowledge are very much attached to the flowery words of the Vedas, which recommend various fruitive activities for elevation to heavenly planets, resultant good birth, power, and so forth. Being desirous of sense gratification and opulent life, they say that there is nothing more than this."
Vedic knowledge is vast. If not guided properly a person may get lost in details without knowing the purpose behind it. Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has made it very clear. There are only three purposes in the Vedas.

In scriptures, living entities are addressed as _Baddha-jīva_, and this material world is addressed as "Prison House". _Baddha-jīva_ means entrapped living entity. Just like a prisoner is entrapped in a prison house, living entities are entrapped in this material world. These entrapped living entities are there in 84 Lacs different grades of life. It is not easy to escape this prison house. There is a hard knot that keeps a living entity always binding to this world. Even though theoretically one may understand the entire philosophy but because of this hard knot, he will not be able to fully apply this philosophy.

In Srimad Bhagavatam, it is mentioned _padaṁ padaṁ yad vipadāṁ na teṣām_ This material world is a very dangerous place. There is a danger at every step. No matter how intelligent a person is, it will not be possible for him to save himself from contamination of the world. He is bound to commit sins, he is bound to get entangled, he is bound to get punished. Examples are many, exceptions are very few. Is there any solution?
Yes, there is. Srimad Bhagavatam talks about an act which can save us from this contamination and place us under the shelter of Lotus feet of Krishna.

The Supreme Lord whom the whole world is searching after, declares that he is indeed present in one's own heart. He is the source and is willing to give all knowledge but beware, he is the source of forgetfulness as well.
mamaivāṁśo jīva-lokejīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ
manaḥ-ṣaṣṭhānīndriyāṇiprakṛti-sthāni karṣati
The living entities in this conditioned world are My eternal, fragmental parts. Due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind.(Bhagavad Gita 15.7)
Some transcendentalists think of soul being one with the supreme spirit and stick to "advaita" or non-dual conception, whereas others think of spirit soul as being completely different from God and believe in "dvaita" conception. However, Lord Chaitanya gave the greatest revelation of absolute truth in the form of "achintya bhedabheda tattva" or inconceivable simultaneous oneness and difference, which Lord Krishna originally explained in the Gita.
Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear. (Bhagavad Gita 18.66)
Surrender to God is the perfection of all mysticism and is the real beginning of spiritual life. The only qualification required to realize God, get empowered by God and to transfer oneself to the kingdom of God is Surrender.
But how do I surrender?
Yes! there is a systematic process as explained by Lord Krishna to Arjuna.
"The Blessed Lord said: There is a banyan tree which has its roots upward and its branches down and whose leaves are the Vedic hymns. One who knows this tree is the knower of the Vedas." (Bhagavad Gita 15.1)
One may ask, why Bhagavad Gita is sidelining the Vedic rituals and stressing just on the prime importance of Bhakti-Yoga. It's because the purpose of entire vedic knowledge is to understand the "Inverted Banyan Tree" and then to cut it down, which is easily done by devotional service to Lord Krishna.

The auspicious appearance day of Lord Balarama, the elder brother of Lord Sri Krishna, is celebrated on the full moon day of Shravana (August). Lord Balarama appeared as the son of Rohini and Vasudeva. He is also known as Baladeva and Sankarshana. He gives us the required spiritual strength to cross over the hurdles in our journey of self-realization. Devotees fast till noon and pray to Lord Balarama to bestow the spiritual strength needed to practice spiritual life. Lord Balaram carries a plow, the reason for which is to cultivate the hearts of the devotees so that it becomes fertile and suitable for the seed of Bhakti to grow nicely. Being the Adi guru tattva, he guides the devotees on their spiritual path so that they can go back home back to godhead. This day is also celebrated as Raksha Bandhan when sisters tie an auspicious rakhi to their brothers for protection. Many devotees, keeping the lord in the center, offer rakhi to Lord Balaram or Shyamsundar, and pray for their protection from the material energy so that they can one-pointedly be fixed in the service of the lord and attain the ultimate goal of life, which is the eternal service of the lord in the spiritual world.
"By the instruction of a bona fide spiritual master, a living entity can know of his spiritual position, his material body, his senses, how he is entrapped, and how he is under the spell of the material modes of nature. He is helpless, being in the grip of these modes, but when he can see his real position, then he can attain to the transcendental platform, having the scope for spiritual life. Actually, the living entity is not the performer of different activities. He is forced to act because he is situated in a particular type of body, conducted by some particular mode of material nature. Unless one has the help of spiritual authority, he cannot understand in what position he is actually situated."
So let us try to understand our actual position and take a big step towards liberation.

The living entity, because he is transcendental, has nothing to do with this material nature. Still, because he has become conditioned by the material world, he is acting under the spell of the three modes of material nature. This is the cause of the varieties of happiness and distress. In this way nature controls the living entities and awards the fruits of destiny.

Can we really digest that after many millions of years, a motorbike can manifest itself out of a random combination of matter?
And after many more millions of years it gets transformed or evolved into a motorcar!

"When a sensible man ceases to see different identities, which are due to different material bodies, he attains to the Brahman conception. Thus he sees that beings are expanded everywhere."
Do we see different identities? Man, woman, young, old, Mr. John, Ms. Nixon. Then we are not sensible as per Lord Krishna. Seeing different identities is illusion. But bodies are not false. Lord Krishna explains the simulated reality and the origin of consciousness at the end of 13th Chapter.
प्रकृत्यैव च कर्माणि क्रियमाणानि सर्वशः ।
यः पश्यति तथात्मानमकर्तारं स पश्यति ॥३०॥
"One who can see that all activities are performed by the body, which is created of material nature, and sees that the self does nothing, actually sees"
Sun and Moon appear small balls in the sky but through science we know their real magnitude.
Animals always trust their perception, but a human being is supposed to see things beyond one's often misleading perception and develop scientific understanding of reality.
As we leave our old vehicle and start using new one, similarly the soul leaves the body when it is no longer usable and enters another new one. Reincarnation is a very important fact which is not taught in modern education but which was scientifically explained by Lord Krishna to Arjuna. Our endeavours should not just be directed towards maintenance of current body but more importantly we must know how to act in this life to get a suitable next body.
ज्ञेयं यत्तत्प्रवक्ष्यामि यज्ज्ञात्वामृतमश्नुते ।अनादिमत्परं ब्रह्म न सत्तन्नासदुच्यते ॥१३॥
I shall now explain the knowable, knowing which you will taste the eternal. This is beginningless, and it is subordinate to Me. It is called Brahman, the spirit, and it lies beyond the cause and effect of this material world.
A colour blind person's knowledge of colour is no knowledge but ignorance. Similarly, people unable to know themselves different from body, perceive the world as per the perceptions imposed by the limitations of their mind and body.
So, how does one check whether one is advancing in knowledge or ignorance in the name of knowledge? Lord Krishna explains 20 items which a person finds on the path of real knowledge.

The whole world is suffering because people are mistaking ignorance for knowledge. Knowing a snake as rope is not knowledge. Its rather disastrous ignorance. Thus, Arjuna asks two very fundamental questions:

Arjuna saw in that universal form unlimited mouths and unlimited eyes. It was all wondrous. The form was decorated with divine, dazzling ornaments and arrayed in many garbs. He was garlanded gloriously, and there were many scents smeared over His body. All was magnificent, all-expanding, unlimited. This was seen by Arjuna.
