Dr Kingya Speaks with Nic Hyl (pronounced Nick Hill) who is the founder and creative director of New York’s emerging and award winning swimwear, clothing and activewear brand, Nic Hyl Clothing. As a lover of travel, fitness, fashion and having previously worked in the fashion industry for brands including Norma Kamali and Ralph Lauren, Nic has taken her experience, love of fashion, Jamaican roots, and Florida upbringing to create a brand inspired by her love of quality fashion and a vacation inspired lifestyle.
After graduating with a BS in Psychology from The University of Central Florida, Nic changed her mind in career and pursued fashion design. Graduating with honors from The American Intercontinental University with a BFA in Fashion Design, and starting her apprenticeship in NYC with Norma Kamali a few short months later.
“It’s the beauty of fashion that I see on a daily basis on New York City streets coupled with my Florida roots, fashionable female role models in my family, and my Jamaican culture that has inspired me to create a swimwear and lifestyle brand, so that fashionable women can translate their personal style to the beach, pool or wherever their lives take them. My goal is to celebrate a wider definition of beauty for every body, everywhere; one uniquely beautiful garment at a time.” – Nic Hyl
As part of her commitment to creating quality garments, ending fast fashion and helping others, Nic has also created a program teaching other fashion designers and brand owners all of the secrets for product development, production and commercial garment manufacturing under her course program Nic Hyl Fashion University.
Currently, Nic is working on wholesale, ready-to-wear styles, and building Nic Hyl Fashion University.
When Nic isn’t building her fashion brands, she can be found spending time with her family.

In America, we have witnessed rogue cops that consistently murder blacks in our community with no remorse. For Blacks in America, Juneteenth should reflect freedom, unity within our communities, rejoicing, unflawed educational opportunities, strengthened family relationships, celebrations, and other achievements. Unfortunately, black men, black women, and children fall victim to police brutality almost daily. Please take a few moments and remember the names of our black men, women, and children murdered by police and victims of intra-racism around the world. Take a journey with us as we discuss the Overground Railroad with Kwame SunHorse.

June 19, 1965, commemorates Juneteenth, the oldest US celebration of the end of slavery. Some called it Emancipation Day. On this day in history, a white Major General Gordon Granger told slaves of their emancipation. Our ancestors struggled with systemic racism and injustice. Today blacks are still faced with the plague of systemic racism and injustice which has lasted for one hundred and fifty-five years after the Emancipation proclamation. Is this a time for blacks in America to celebrate? Join in on the conversation with Kingya and our most honored guest speaker Kwame SunHorse.

In the United States, Mental illness is a significant health issue. It is a global issue that has not been addressed more often than realized. According to the National Institutes for Health, nearly 44 million adults (18%) have a diagnosis of mental illness yearly. From father to son: Avi, raising you has been the best experience of my life, and I look forward to watching you grow as a teenager. Avi, you bring me so much love, joy, and happiness. I could not ask for anything more; You are my amazing son, Happy13thbirthday Avi! Okay, so mom didn't allow me to call and wish you a happy 13th birthday despite my efforts. I may not be able to give you a hug, a kiss, or gifts, and it hurts a lot!
Avi, You fill my heart with prideful crying. When the pain of separation becomes particularly unbearable, trust in the Lord your God with love from your heart. Someday soon, we will all be reunited again. I want you to know that I will always love you!!! Avi, you will always be a super achiever; You deserve to enjoy this glorious day. Avi, may you find a vision and world worthy of your excellence.
Love Always,
Abba

What is Coronavirus? Some health officials are calling it the Covid-19-the illness that allegedly started in Wuhan. Reportedly it has never been encountered before and is said to be caused by a member of the Covid-19 or the coronavirus family coming from animals. Allegedly, those infected initially either worked or shopped in the Chinese city where the Huanan seafood wholesale market is.
How do you protect yourself? It attacks the immune system, and strengthening the immune system increases the chance of fighting this viral infection. Those that died allegedly to had poor health. What are the symptoms this coronavirus causes?
According to the CDC and other news sources, they are saying the antiviral drugs used against the flu will not work. The viral coronavirus can cause pneumonia, fever, breathing difficulties, coughs, and in severe cases, organ failure because antibiotics are of no use.
