Over on the WWF channel it’s the night after Break Down and we're going to find out who currently holds the WWF Championship. Mr. McMahon has a title presentation in the middle of the show but an interruption leads to one of the most memorable moments of the whole Monday Night War. Elsewhere on the show Al Snow takes on Vader, we have a 4 corner elimination match to determine the number 1 contender for the European Title, and Owen Hart takes on Dan Severn.

Fall Brawl 1998 is in the books and Hollywood Hogan has a challenge for The Warrior. Goldberg takes on Sting in the main event, and the legendary Four Horsemen stable reunite on Monday Nitro.

WCW presents a monumental episode of Nitro this week live from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The night after King of the Ring 1997. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels have been sent home due to a backstage fight, so Raw goes through major creative changes hours before going live. Scheduled matches include Steve Austin vs Brian Pillman, Owen Hart vs Sycho Sid and British Bulldog vs Goldust.
It's announced at the beginning of WCW Nitro that Hollywood Hogan must wrestle on the show as per orders from the WCW Executive Committee. Lex Luger gets the chance to step into the ring with The Hulkster while The Outsiders battle Roddy Piper and Ric Flair.
The 1997 King of the Ring pay per view goes through major changes when the Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels match gets cancelled. Stone Cold Steve Austin's match with Brian Pillman also gets cancelled and instead, it's decided that the WWF Tag Team Champions (HBK & Austin) will face eachother at the PPV. On Raw, the tag team have to defend their titles against The Legion of Doom.
On Monday Nitro, Scott Hall faces Ric Flair in the main event. Randy Savage decides he wants to cut a promo and things quickly turn violent when The Macho Man attacks J.J. Dillon.
Hollywood Hogan is back on WCW Nitro and he's looking for Sting. Harlem Heat main event Nitro in a match against Jeff Jarrett and Steve McMichael, and Sonny Onoo reveals Masahiro Chono's nightmare. On Raw, Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin get a tag title shot against Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith, Triple H faces Rockabilly, and Rocky Maivia has a match against Flash Funk. Paul Bearer forces The Undertaker to make his decision in regards to "The Secret"
This week's episode of WWF Raw features the infamous "Sunny Days" promo. While Bret Hart lays out a challenge for Shawn Michaels at the 1997 King of the Ring, HBK decides to take the low road with a comment that gets Bret a little heat at home. On WCW Nitro, Ric Flair is on form after his team won the Slamboree main event, but Syxx wants to face The Nature Boy in a singles match live on TNT.

The Raw before In Your House: A Cold Day in Hell. Stone Cold Steve Austin battles The British Bulldog in the main event while over on Nitro, the nWo launch an attack on WCW to close the show. Matches this week include Glacier vs Lizmark Jr, Rey Mysterio vs Syxx, Crush running the Gauntlet and The Legion of Doom vs Furnas & Lafon.
WCW Nitro goes back to a 60 minute format thanks to the NBA Playoffs, meaning WWF Raw has extra TV time for a few weeks in comparison to the wrestling on TNT. Ric Flair and Roddy Piper challenge the nWo to a fight on Monday Nitro while Chris Benoit goes to war with Steve Regal. Over on Raw, we have an important night for the Hart Foundation - Not only does a new member get revealed, but a big singles title comes to the Harts when Rocky Maivia loses the Intercontinental Championship.

Piper chooses a boxer, a kick boxer and a former sumo wrestler to stand at his side during the Uncensored tag match, but who represents the nWo and who represents WCW is still up in the air.
ECW invades WWF Raw in the Manhattan Center this week as Paul E. Dangerously accepts Jerry Lawler's challenge. On Nitro, fans are left shocked when Sting picks a side in the WCW vs nWo war.
It's the night after WWF In Your House: 13 "Final Four" and there's a new WWF Champion in town. Bret Hart won the Final Four match and because Shawn Michaels forfeited the title, The Hitman is now the WWF Champion. Tonight on Raw, Bret has to defend the championship against Sycho Sid. The match gets restarted twice due to interference from Stone Cold Steve Austin.
On Monday Nitro, Roddy Piper is getting prepared for Superbrawl by locking himself up in Alcatraz. Hulk Hogan is in the arena while Piper gets himself in a warped frame of mind for the big pay per view. Elsewhere on the show, Dean Malenko takes on Robbie Brookside, Debra continues to confuse Mongo, and The Outsiders hand over a tape fearuing a Steiner Brothers automobile accident.

Thursday Raw Thursday takes place this week while Nitro takes place on Monday as usual. Shawn Michaels loses his smile this week and the WWF main event picture is tuned upside down. Shawn decides to forfeit the WWF Championship, meaning the Final Four match later in the week will be for the title. Matches on Raw include Bret Hart vs Vader and Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Vader.
On Nitro, Roddy Piper makes an appearance while Hulk Hogan addresses his Superbrawl VII opponent via satellite. Piper warns Hogan about what's going to happen at the Pay Per View while Hulk tells Roddy he won't have anywhere to hide in the Cow Palace. Debra and Steve McMichael continue to have problems, The Outsiders step into the ring, and Randy Anderson also makes a plea to Eric Bischoff in regards to his job.
WWF Raw goes to a 2 hour format tonight and so the format of Reliving The War also changes. Instead of scoring head to head matches, the whole shows are taken into consideration and the winner of each weekly battle will be whoever had the better overall Monday Night.
The WWF presents "Royal Rumble Raw" from the Toronto Skydome. Last week, Vince McMahon promised the Royal Rumble match would be showin in it's entirety but this didn't happen... clips were shown instead. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels have another in-ring interview with Vince McMahon, and elsewhere on the show The Undertaker teams up with Ahmed Johnson to do battle with Mankind and Faarooq. On WCW Monday Nitro, Roddy Piper makes an appearance and he let's fans know if he's going to wrestle Hollywood Hogan at Superbrawl VII. Chris Benoit vs Konnan and Jeff Jarrett vs Steve McMichael also takes place on TNT.
WCW's Clash of the Champions and nWo Souled Out shows are in the books. Hollywood Hogan is still WCW Champion, but the Hulkster gets a surprise this week when the WCW Board of Directors send a message into Monday Nitro. Hulk's Superbrawl opponent gets announced, and his WCW title will be on the line at the Pay Per View. Elsewhere on Nitro, The Four Horsemen claim to be united once again but Chris Benoit & Woman have some issues with The Taskmaster towards the end of the show.
On WWF Raw, Vince McMahon conducts an interview with Shawn Michaels and the "Final Four". The main event features Shawn Michaels and Jose Lathario taking on Vader and Jim Cornette. WWF Raw also presents a Steve Austin vs Jake Roberts King of the Ring rematch to kick off the show. Over on the WCW side, the nWo are staying in their hotel room but cameras let us see what the faction get up to. Not only does it look like The Nasty Boys have joined the nWo, but it looks like an associate of The Four Horsemen has also defected to the black and white. WCW Nitro is headlined by Chris Benoit taking on Rick Steiner.

The WWF are presenting a live episode of Raw tonight, and a new Intercontinental Champion will get crowned when the IC Title Tournament comes an end. Faarooq vs Marc Mero opens up the show. Also, Jim Ross has promised to bring back Razor Ramon and Diesel, but it clearly wasn't the Razor Ramon we thought it was going to be.
Over on Nitro, a lot of WCW Superstars have travelled to NJPW. This means those that are left behind have became targets for the nWo. The faction completely takes over Monday Nitro, and we get to see Syxx, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in action.
After winning in the War Games match at Fall Brawl, the New World Order decide to announce yet another new member on this week's WCW Nitro. Sean Waltman, who worked as the 1-2-3 Kid in the WWF, has signed up with the nWo. Not only does Waltman show up on Nitro, but Glacier makes an appearance too.
Over on the WWF side, the Intercontinental Title Tournament semi finals take place. Owen Hart vs Marc Mero & Faarooq vs Sycho Sid happen on Monday Night Raw, and Jim Ross is still telling WWF viewers that Razor Ramon and Diesel are coming back to the World Wrestling Federation. The WWF also do some last minute promoting this week for In Your House: Mind Games.

Another Monday Night War takes place as Raw and Nitro go head-to-head and this time, both the WWF and WCW are presenting fallout shows. WCW Clash of the Champions 33 took place a few days prior, and we are 1 night removed from SummerSlam 96. Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan was our main event for the Clash show while Shawn Michaels vs Vader main evented SummerSlam. This week's Nitro sees the formation of Team WCW, a team that will take on the nWo at Fall Brawl, and the WWF begins a tournament to crown a new Intercontinental Champion. The date is now 8.12.96, we are one night removed from WCW's Hog Wild 1996 pay per view yet the promotional work by Eric Bischoff and company doesn't stop tonight on Nitro. WCW presents Clash of the Champions 33 in just a few days time, and WCW has to scramble to get in some last minute advertising for the Clash special on TBS. Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair will main event Clash of the Champions. Tonight's Nitro main event, however, features the in-ring Nitro debut of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.
Over on the WWF channel, Shawn Michaels faces Owen Hart just 6 days before HBK's big title defense against Vader at SummerSlam 1996. The WWF also air a Bret Hart promo where Bret talks about his WWF future and how he feels about making a return to the company. We also see the WWF Raw in-ring debut of Faarooq this week, and Crush also makes his WWF Return.

WCW are promoting their Hog Wild pay per view where Hulk Hogan will take on The Giant for the WCW Championship. The Outsiders are on Nitro this week and they are wrecking havoc backstage, this Nitro features the infamous Rey Mysterio “lawn dart” bump as Kevin Nash and Scott Hall completely turn WCW Nitro upside-down.

Vince McMahon wants to crown a new WWF King of the Ring and this weeks episode of raw features the KOTR quarter final matches. Owen Hart, Jake Roberts, Marc Mero, Steve Austin, Goldust and Jake Roberts are all in action this week.
With only one week to go until The Great American Bash, WCW continue to turn up the heat with the arrival of Scott Hall's "big surprise". Kevin Nash shows up on Nitro, and he's siding with Scott Hall in a quest to take over World Championship Wrestling. This episode of Nitro also includes a WCW Championship match featuring The Giant and Scott Norton, and the Tag Team Championships are also on the line in this week's main event.
Over on the WWF channel things aren't looking so good. The company have been hyping the 1996 King of The Ring during their recent Raw episodes yet the WWF are also lacking the excitement that WCW currently brings. The overall nature of the WWF's shows aren't changing while WCW fires on all cylinders, but the King of the Ring will eventually give us a true Monday Night War game changing superstar.

While both Raw and Nitro are still a long way away from being the top rating TV shows that they would soon become, WCW Nitro is starting to show signs of greatness. Scott Hall appears towards the end of the show to announce a "big surprise" for next week's broadcast, and WCW are also in a period of remembering their history when The Rock N Roll Express take on Ric Flair and Arn Anderson of the Four Horsemen this week. Over on WWF Raw, the company is gearing towards the King of the Ring pay per view. We have more qualifying matches this week featuring Steve Austin, Jake Roberts and Hunter Hearst Helmsley.
The WWF had a few issues with their In Your House: Beware of Dog pay per view. The lights in the arena got switched off due to a power outage, and also, the pay per view feed got cut off. On this week's episode of Raw, Vince McMahon promises to make things right with "Beware of Dog 2", the pay per view would air the night after Monday Night Raw. This week of episode features King of the Ring qualifying matches including Ahmed Johnson, Vader, The Ultimate Warrior and Goldust.
While the WWF environment stayed the same really, WCW began to truly turn up the heat this week on Reliving The War. Not only did Scott Hall show up, but WCW went to a full 2 hour broadcast, meaning the company were packing more action into their weekly television show. It would only get better from here, we aren't quite at the era of weekly cruiserweight action and nWo Hogan, Hall and Nash running the place... but we're very close!

WCW Monday Nitro was pre-empted on 4.8.96 so the WWF had a free night on the USA Network. Once again, the WWF would try to capitalize by presenting some of the biggest names in the company including Shawn Michaels, Diesel, Vader, Davey Boy Smith and Owen Hart. This episode also features the Raw debut of The Ultimate Warrior, who made his return at WrestleMania 12. The WWF try to turn the Monday Night War in their favour by putting on an entertaining show, and it actually worked. The World Wrestling Federation would win the ratings war 5 times in a row… but it was the last winning streak the WWF would have for quite a long time. As we get further into 1996, the wheels begin falling off as WCW begin firing on all cylinders.
The Raw after WrestleMania usually has a few surprises and 1996 was no exception. With WrestleMania XII all wrapped up, the WWF went into San Barnardino for Monday Night Raw and not only did we get the in-ring debut of Marc Mero (WCW's Johnny B. Badd), but Mankind also worked his very first TV match on this show. Mick Foley's Mankind character would become a huge part of the Monday Night War, and right from the get-go, Mankind made an impact.
Over on the WCW side, Eric Bischoff and company were getting ready for a rough month. Not only were there no PPVs scheduled for April 1996, but Nitro was getting ready for another pre-empted week on the 8th of April. 2 pre-empted shows in the space of a month meant storyline progession would slow down and the creative team would need to focus on building a PPV which was over 1 month away. Slamboree 1996 would also feature the "Lethal Lottery" tag matches that didn't do much in terms of storylines, so things are looking a bit shaky on Nitro over the next few weeks

This time we will look at the 13.11.95 editions of WWF Monday Night Raw and WCW Nitro. As the WWF gets ready for the 1995 Survivor Series and the Bret Hart vs Diesel WWF championship match, WCW are still going along with the "darkside" Hulk Hogan storyline. This episode features WWF Raw and WCW Nitro from the 9th October 1995. WCW would present a steel cage match featuring Ric Flair and Arn Anderson while the WWF would showcase a huge 6 man tag match featuring the likes of Yokozuna, Diesel and The Undertaker. What’s curious here though is that Raw only put on 2 matches while WCW broadcasted 4 matches.
In the mid 90s, the WWF had it's popularity tested when WCW went head to head with Vince McMahon's flagship weekly wrestling television show. Airing on TNT, WCW Nitro aired at the same time as WWF Raw on the USA Network. The two companies would square off in a weekly ratings battle with each wrestling organization trying to outdo eachother to deliver the better wrestling show. As fans, we were treated to a once in a lifetime era of pro wrestling known as "The Monday Night Wars". This series compares WCW Nitro to WWF Raw (and vice versa) on a particular week. This episode takes a look at what the WWF and WCW put on their Monday Night shows on October 2nd 1995. WCW gave us superstars such as Randy Savage, Arn Anderson and Ric Flair while the WWF would present the likes of Bret Hart, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and the 1-2-3 Kid.

This was the first ever time that both Raw and Nitro went live at the same time on Monday nights (Raw had been taped in the weeks prior). The WWF had just finished their In Your House 3 pay per view show while WCW were starting their promotional work for Halloween Havoc 1995. Nitro featured stars such as Disco Inferno, Arn Anderson and Lex Luger while the WWF presented guys like The Undertaker, Marty Jannetty and The British Bulldog.
This episode takes a look at what Nitro and Raw presented on the week September 18th 1995. This Nitro show was one night removed from Fall Brawl 1995 while the WWF were about to broadcast In Your House 3 live on pay per view this same week. Nitro featured stars such as Ric Flair, Harlem Heat and Macho Man Randy Savage while the WWF gave us Owen Hart, Yokozuna and Razor Ramon.
The WWF had been the most popular weekly wrestling television show in America since it's debut in 1993. In 1995, World Championship Wrestling and Eric Bischoff brought a new Monday Night wrestling show to television screens that would compete directly with Vince McMahon, The WWF and Monday Night Raw. This show was named WCW Monday Nitro, and it made it's debut on September 4th 1995. On that same evening, Raw did not air on TV, so WCW and the Nitro show was able to deliver a wrestling television show completely unopposed and unchallenged.
The next week though, on September 11th 1995, both WCW Nitro and WWF Raw would air their Monday night television shows. WWF Raw was taped while WCW Nitro was live, and this would be the very first time both Raw and Nitro went head to head in the Monday Night War television ratings battle.
