I just moved in a farm for a WorkAway experience. I was supposed to find a part-time job in Bristol from mid-March but the Universe probably wanted me to end up where I am right now. I'm precisely in Congresbury, 20km south-west of Bristol.
I am giving 4-5 hours a day from Monday to Friday in exchange of accommodation and food. It's interesting to be in this day job situation after nine years. Work at the farm starts at 9am so I wake up at 5.30 to do my morning routine including creating a new track. Then I work about 1.5 hours on finishing music before feeding the animals and go on with the tasks I'm requested to do.
I got my daily routine on a sheet and calendar app so my day and is well organised and I can be satisfied of my progress at the end of the day. It's nice to start the mandatory not-so-fun work with a sense of accomplishment so early in the day.
I'm staying in a caravan on my own and I love it. This space is inspiring to me.
I don't know how long I'll stay here, cause my values clashes with the farm's activity (they gonna get sheep to sell their meat). Plus, not least, my host is quite inconsiderate and seems to have partly the Diogenes syndrome. I thought about it because she shares similar traits with my sister who apparently has been diagnosed for that. It might be a consequence – for my sister – of her falling from the fifth floor when she was five years old. Anyways, won't go to deep in this here.
I'm already looking for another WorkAway opportunity with purpose like collective creative work and permaculture. I got a couple leads. I'll probably walk from one place to the other. Approx. 10-12 hours. Might also ride my mini-cruiser board. So that means I must leave behind me some stuff, at a friend's place in Bristol. And have him ship me some of those things.
My plan is to stay in the UK until the end of September. Then the idea is to move to Southern Italy in my homeland for a year, after stopping a while in Switzerland and France to meet family and friends.
I'm working daily on finishing new tracks to be released in the coming months.

Celebrating my first two weeks in UK for my new life with a brand new Eclectic Soul !
Hoping there won’t be any problem for me to stay here with that Brexit thing, cause this country is probably the best home for my music.
We got three tracks from last Mac Miller posthumous album. I can get emotional when I listen to him, thinking he’s gone so soon. Plus he went away on my birthday.
Feeling connected.
Tycho plays as the second track, his last release being the first music I was listening on my headphones in UK. I remember walking at night to the underground at the end of the Northern line, under a light rain.
I love this dreamy feeling when walking around a new place, not knowing at all what’s after the corner of the street.
Michael Kiwanuka’s last eponymous album (he used just his last name) is what I was listening last night while doing grocery. Fantastic release.
UK’s Elsa Hewitt returns in the show with her “experimental dream-pop” and the track Mermaid. I’m in love with her sound. I’m looking forward to see her live soon around here, and attend to the CDR event in London where she’ll be the guest in April for an artsist talk + production workshop.
Towards the end, you’ll hear a track of mine that I did quickly on January 24, using a free sample pack. I just edited a few things to play it in the show to my better taste.

For anyone wondering, I'm trying to make my way through the toughest time in my life. Massive mental fatigue due to severe depression and poor sleep for months. To say the least. All mostly due to a difficult situation I created with one particular bad choice. Hopefully I'll be able to recover soon. Enjoy this new selection.

Sorry about the delay after the previous episode. I know it's too long. I don't think it was such a good idea to stop listening to new music. I did still, but much less than previously. I wonder if my down times have a correlation with my relation to music? Or maybe it's just turning 30 causing a crisis. Anyways, don't want to write too much, it's not about me, but the music. There lies the truth. Much gratitude to the people reaching out and encouraging me to keep doing this.

This show, like the previous one, has been made on the road. I started it in Geneva on Monday 9th May and did most of the work in Ticino, southern Italian part of Switzerland. The surrounding have been highly inspiring – between lakes and green mountains – and I’ll be back soon to enjoy more of the nature. I’ll remember working on it in the break of a walk in the heights of Lugano. I found a nice little garden with a stone table and benches, and green around me. I sat there and cooked what you can listen here.
I’m always more and more fascinated by dreams. Dreams, among other things, are the proof that we are (highly) creative by nature. We’re always in a creative state. The dialogs in the intro and further are from two different France Inter radio shows :

Just came back from a very very inspiring week in Lille. I met beautiful people, lived new and interesting experiences, enjoyed every single moment. There’s something special in Lille’s atmosphere. Maybe it’s due to the fact that Northern France is the poorest region in the country, so there’s actually a lot of creativity and lots of interesting things going on. When my CouchSurfer host told me about this poverty, I instantly made the connection with Southern Italy. Not that I could see it myself, but the weekend before I was in Turin and my host told me that there are lots of artists in the South and that it’s apparently a good place to be for creatives. I’d like to live for a while there and meet locals and young artists. I’d also like to live in Lille for a while. Right now I’m back in Geneva until the end of April. Then I leave my flat and start vagabonding around Italy. Not sure what’s going to happen exactly, where I’m going etc. Going with the flow! Sure thing is that I’ll keep focusing on doing what I love. Right now I feel very attracted towards making films, as I’m about to fill the last pages of my little moleskine notebook with ideas for movies. I just got an iPhone SE to use strictly as a compact and simple camera. I guess I’ll be shooting the next Eclectic Soul artwork photos myself and make some music videos as well.

Love to my bro Ben for sharing the infectious Tempovision, Kay Rubenz for playing 2Pac’s Do For Love some night and Audrey for telling me the title, my man Eddy for playing TM Juke in Lausanne and allow me to discover another amazing album, myself for listening with more sensitive ears Paul White’s LP and finally feeling how good and special it is, Moté for hosting me in Lille and sharing among other things the manga Samurai Champoo which uses Nujabes as theme song, my dear Manu for sharing Fleetwood Mac and Dave DK while we were doing indoor climbing, Mark Kelly for his wonderful new album that I still need to listen properly but already know it’s a master piece.
Eclectic Soul is all of you. Eclectic Soul is like a long photography of my life, full of beautiful memories. I’m happy you’re part of it.

Here's a new selection of soulful music for your ears pleasure. I had a few listeners telling me that Eclectic Soul puts them in the right mood to get productive and creative. Some listen to it will studying and others while they're running.
I'm back with a new show after slipping on March as I was travelling during four weeks. A kind of life changing trip, the first I took on my own. I met amazing people and I want to dedicate this show to them and all the beautiful souls I met/will meet.
We hit number twenty with a tasty and deep guest mix from Barnaby Carter. I'm very pleased to see what Eclectic Soul is doing – for you, for me. It is shaping my life month after month in a way I love.
First show of the year including a spontaneous set I did for a broadcast here in Geneva in January. It starts from the blues song from Luther Johnson, which is probably the oldest music I played in Eclectic Soul.
Got inspired by my recent trip to Bristol – few tunes where introduced by a couple of friends I visited there and some other tunes were playing in the places I went like The Canteen (my favourite spot so far) and Bells for the Sunday roast.
At the end of the summer I went on a trip to the west coast of the US. It was highly inspiring and I think it affected me deeply. Especially San Francisco. I came back home with a fascinating book bought at City Lights : How Music Works by David Byrne.
