Well, we made it! We are in the 21st Century with this movie, the last in the era of Pierce Brosnan.

Random trivia: This is the last movie in which Hugh Jackman will play Wolverine. He has cited his age and his skin cancer as factors in him retiring from the role. He also said that having a discussion with Jerry Seinfeld played a part in retiring the character, as Jerry talked generally about how he wanted to make sure he never got to a point with Seinfeld (1989) where audiences were weary of seeing it anymore, saying, "Oh, it's you again." Jackman felt fortunate to have avoided this for Wolverine, and wanted to ensure it never happened.
Hugh Jackman stated in an interview that the only way he would reprise his role is if a crossover between Deadpool and Wolverine would happen. Both Deadpool movies have contained jokes aimed at Wolverine.
DEADPOOL! This movie is too funny to even try to sum up here, just give the show a listen!
Well, that is the end of the Fox era of X-Men and we say good riddance! This movie is very confusing and we didn't want to spend a lot of time discussing it. But don't be brought down by our negativity, because next time we discuss Deadpool 1 & 2 and it's a blast!

Bryan Singer continues his retelling of the X-Men universe by going WAAAAAAAAAAY back to ancient Egypt and resurrecting some blue dude! This movies definitely has shades of Stargate (1994) and The Mummy (1999) with a sprinkle of History Channel's Ancient Aliens thrown in ;-) Matt kinda liked it while Byron was the more typical viewer giving it a decidedly low rating. Enjoy!

We finally get to to what most people think is the BEST of the franchise! It's a whopper with the two casts coming together in the "Avengers of X-Men". Bryan Singer is back and as Byron aptly points out, he reboots his baby even if just a little softly. Time travel is a thing for consciousness (conscious, conscience..?) and we see those weird bone claws again...enjoy!

As far as The Wolverine...
Wow! This is one surprisingly good movie that Byron and I both somehow managed to miss! It is one of our favorites we have covered so far despite not having world-ending consequences. Hugh Jackman plays his best Huge JackedMan to date!

For this episode we are returning to the MCU for the last movie of Phase 3 and the Infinity Saga.
Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man and he nails it! This one is full of guilt and it reminds Matt of one of his favorite MCU films. Listen to find out which one, also hear Matt's list of top ten favs and Byron's predictions for the future of the franchise.

Well, I think everyone knows this is the one of the funniest of the MCU movies so far! We loved it and who couldn't enjoy a band of outlaws turned superheroes running around the galaxy?
This one is dark and moody just like the rest of the Phase 2 movies so far. Steve is back for more action and has some pretty great chemistry on screen with Black Widow! He might be in the wrong business if he is looking for a friend though! We hope you enjoyed this one as much as we did...but we are guessing everyone is just waiting to hear the Guardians episode coming up after this one ;-)

We get really deep in this one and cover the full story arc! Not huge fans of the extended fight scene with the Chitauri and the bizarre capture of Loki (spoiler alert: he didn't need to get himself captured) but the movie was so great at bringing all our heroes together that we still approve! The addition of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner was a huge plus. This episode concludes Phase I of the MCU and we can't wait to see how the characters change after their near loss to the alien horde!
This time we take on Byron's favorite of the MCU movies - Captain America! Matt learns a lot and we even cut in a deep track from a 1979 version of cinematic Captain America. Enjoy!
