The character, the compassion, and the willingness of a servant..... these are the three points highlighted when looking at the interaction between servants. -In this passage, brother Ralph shows us two servants. One is well renowned -Paul-, the other unsung -Epaphroditus-, both overflowing in loving affections.
Pastor Wes unpacks so much from this passage of scripture, revealing how very opposite the reality and truth is, to the perception of a blinded - perishing world.--1. The sovereignty of God - unbeknownst to Pontius Pilate, he had a primary role in fulfilling prophecy.-2. The servitude of Christ - could Jesus have taken himself off the cross, or could he not---And finally,-3. The scorn of man - the wickedness of the unbelief of the bypassers and the religious leaders.
Why so much suffering-- Why the death of the Cross----Pastor Wes examines Jesus' suffering to the cross, at the cross and on the cross. --Then he shifts his focus to those Roman soldiers beneath the cross...

Worldliness is spiritual adultery, it is a war that begins within, affecting our relationship with God and the people around us. When we befriend the world God is righteously jealous and desires our full commitment. He is against those who are arrogant and proud, but offers grace when we are humble before Him.
The Day of the Lord is at hand, all light of the sun and stars has faded. In the midst of this darkness, light appears and every eye will see the returning Christ, coming in all splendor and majesty. A hero coming to rescue his elect, destroy his enemies and establish his rule.
God's Eschatological wrath is intensified at the end of the time of the Great Tribulation. In His judgement He will start tearing apart the fabric of the universe, creating cosmic disturbances. This will cause utter terror in the hearts of unbelievers
After committing the Abomination of Desolation, the Antichrist will unleash his fury on the Jews. Jesus says that when they see this to flee immediately, there will be no time to waste, the wrath will be imminent. Jesus is moved with compassion for the weakest of the weak at this time who will be hindered and vulnerable. The horror will be unprecedented, nothing in History can or will ever compare. False prophets and christ's will arise to try and expose the hidden faithful. However God will secure them, held by his hand from being lead astray and shorten the days to provide protection for his Elect. In those desperate days a true attitude of fellowship and longing for Christ's Glory will comfort the Believers. Let us also embrace this, our hearts crying out -Come, Lord Jesus--

He will commit an abomination, setting himself -up as a God and placing himself in the Temple to be worshipped as divine.-This will result in desolation as the Jews abandon the sacrificial offering in the temple. This is the Abomination of Desolation-that we are commanded to understand in scripture. We won't experience this event, -However in the same way our bodies are the temple of the Lord and we must not defile or fill them with impurity, dedicating them to God and God alone.
During the Tribulation believers will experience the worst persecution of all time. Because of their love for Christ they will be hated and betrayed to death by their closest family and by all the world. Believers can have hope that when they are arrested the holy spirit will speak through them, they do not have to worry about how to respond to their accusers, the Spirit will guide and comfort them. Through the graceful gift of saving faith, they can have comfort in knowing that they will persevere to the end and that through their suffering, the Lord will advance his kingdom
During the tribulation period God will use severe persecution to bring about revival. Christ will be magnified all the more in this, as it brings clarity and conviction to God's people on their mission, the proclamation of the Gospel. Even though we will not face the tribulation we should be prepared to spread the Gospel in the face of coming persecution.

Christ destroyed the temple because the true worship is now found in Him. -He is our eternal temple that will never be destroyed.-And thus, Jesus' body is the only temple that those criminals that run and hide in Him will find true refuge.--Hypocritical worship turned the house of God into a brothel. And the buyers, the sellers along with the religious leaders were the harlots. And they prostituted their hearts with all kinds of greed and selfishness. All in the house of God and yet they thought they could find refuge in some marble floor and dead animals.
People are running to and fro looking for blessings, meaning, and purpose in life, but never finding true satisfaction. -The Word of God alone is a field full of treasure where one will always find what is needed to be fully satisfied.
As the seed of the gospel is sown into the soil of our lives,-And as the Sun of Righteousness shines upon our dead hearts, -And as the oxygen of the Holy Spirit is breathed into our souls and infused into the fabric of our beings,--It is for a singular purpose, to be fruitful.
