From superheroes to dysfunctional families, murder-mysteries to deadly games, 2021 has given us some incredible new series to binge-watch or tune into week after week.
It took A LOT of arguing, but Eoghan and Rory finally successfully negotiated their top ten shows of 2021.
No Die Hard, no Love Actually, no The Holiday.
No Home Alone, no Jingle All The Way, no Bad Santa.
What we've gone with are Christmas movies that are, essentially, movies set at Christmas, but you either A) forgot they were set at Christmas, because that is how good they are, or B) didn't fully realise they were set at Christmas in the first place.
So, if you're in the mood for something festive but don't want to pick from the same list of Christmas movies over and over again, you've come to the right place.

Before you say anything, yes, we know 2021 isn't technically over yet.
There's every chance that Spider-Man: No Way Home or The Matrix Resurrections or Snakes On A Plane 7 (we wish this was real) could all be amazing and completely disrupt this list, and if that turns out to be the case, we're very sorry.
But! From the first 350 or so days of 2021, we reckon these are the 10 best movies released in Ireland.

This week, Eoghan Doherty is delighted to be joined by Rory ‘Have I told you about that time I met Steven Spielberg’ Cashin- and, much like Richard Dreyfuss desperately making his way to Devil’s Tower in Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, Paul Moore has managed to find his way home to The Big Reviewski after a few weeks off, making effigies of Eoghan and Rory out of plates of mashed potatoes along the way.
As you can probably already tell, it’s a Spielberg lovefest this week as The Big Reviewski welcomes Simon Pegg and the other stars of Ready Player One, we’ve also got some horrendously hard Haiclues coming your way, reviews of loads of new releases and we pick out the best films to go and see in the cinema right now.
Plus there’s a trip to Italy to be won (yes, you read that correctly), LOADS of magical movie moments and a whole load of Jamie Dornan dongs.

After being treated to stunts and grunts with Alicia Vikander last week, Eoghan is joined by a double act more charming than Han Solo and Chewbacca, more handsome than Butch and Sundance, and more smartererer than Dumb And Dumber's Harry and Lloyd.
It is, of course... Rory Cashin and Laura Holland.
The Big Reviewski team are a man down though as Paul "I swear I'll never leave you" Moore has broken all our hearts and headed off on a National Lampoon-style vacation, because he thinks his personal life and alone time are more important than The Big Reviewski.
He's wrong.

After being mauled by the Beast From The East last week, we’re delighted to say that, just like Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminator or that weird rash on your leg that just won’t go away, Laura Holland is back!
That’s right, the band are back together once again as Eoghan, Paul and Rory welcome a fully defrosted Laura home to The Big Reviewski with open arms and promises of warm coddle.
So make yourself comfortable and get ready for great reviews and recommendations, head-scratching Haiclues, a “grunting” Alicia Vikander and a very important update on the sales of fish dildos 🐟

Winter is coming... or it definitely feels like it is anyway.
With the Snowpocalypse right on top of us this week, Eoghan, Paul and Rory braved the storm to record this week’s show, because NOTHING is more important than The Big Reviewski.
Laura, however, wasn’t so lucky and we suspect that she got stuck out in the back garden like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.
