Darius was bitten by Pharrell Williams*.When I met him in person for the interview, I couldn't really place his age. We find out Darius's age (and mine) in this interview. We also talk about Taharka Brothers' beginnings, the documentary filmed about the ice cream company's Kickstarter campaign (link to the doc below!) and how Taharka Brothers is creating opportunity for its employees, outside of giving them a job. Willie Flowers eats vegetarian, runs marathons, and graduated college when I was 5 years old. Today we talk about his journey from a rural town in Alabama, to leading a local non-profit organization headquartered in West Baltimore. The mic I was using cut out abruptly so I had to chop off the end of the interview, but I still think we got some good stuff. I also recorded the outro in my kitchen. The good news? This will be the LAST interview in that studio; the new studio has a beautiful soundboard with mics that work!
