Music lover turned bedroom DJ since early 2017 with an age old passion for UK hardcore, jungle tekno, jungle & Drum and Bass, dating back to 1991. All my mixes tend to be of these genres and my main focus is current Drum & Bass, but like to spin classics.
Mixes are hand picked off audio CD's/Vinyl and all mix admin is done manually, I don't use anything but audacity and my hardware. I never tend to plan ahead, just pick out what feels right and I'm aiming for that flawless mix, but until then I upload them regardless.

I tend to focus on the darker side of Hardcore, and neglect a lot of the amazing uplifting that I grab along the way, so thought I would do a little mix of some more traditional hardcore. Some super new stuff alongside some slightly older numbers, all new cuts from recent years, keeping that hardcore vibe alive.

This was an era of Drum & Bass that holds a special place in my heart, I absolutely love this sound to this day and wish there was a resurgence of this era. I'm sure there will as the 30 year anniversary gets close, but until then enjoy.

I've attempted this mix several times now over a few weeks and not been happy with the result, tonight it felt right, but I'm still not overally happy with the outcome, but then again it is record, it is early jungle and its a bit unpredictable in parts, so I'm gonna call it a day on this one for now, upload it and move on. This is a mix I did recently for a competition that's running on the Hardcore 91-94 Facebook page (link below). I made it to the final 8 out of 16 or 17 entries, lost in a quarter final head to head against a far better mix, but still happy to have made it that far.
It wasn't easy selecting from a fixed list of 150 or so hardcore classics, so much good music to choose and try to stick to a doing a one hour mix, but after hours of picking and choosing this was the end result . Enjoy.

Finally managed to get my DMC collection up to speed with the 3 new Ingredients represses, so decided to air them all out. So its Farseer, Dreamscapes, Nautilus, Trilogy Dubs 1-3, Throwing Shades, Darkness At Dawn and Trip ii Eclipse EPs all back to back, not a single track missed.
My vinyl mixing is still a bit flaky, but it wasn't too bad for a second attempt.

When I mix, Skeptical seems to make a lot of appearances naturally, guess that's because his tracks are my cup of tea, so I figured, fuck it, I'll do one solely of his stuff, or things he's been involved with.
I've got to say, this is about the most planned mix I have ever done, so hoping it flows for you, as much as it did for me.

A group of innovators, set off in the air in a new direction, before having a change of mind and going in another direction, where they meet some unfriendly souls who, at the root of all evil in deep space they have to escape at 1000 phons, which causes them to step back in time through dark matter physics. Once they realise, they have to jump at MK2 into the paragone, whilst maintaining the ship on a level. They decide to kick it and engage the factor 5 engine where they are sent to the future where followers worship the core, thinking this is a trip, they hear a voice, which offers them a warning and some herbal tekno, along with a pipe. He then announces he is the creator. As the herbal tekno is inhaled, they begin to sweat at the journey and where it has taken them, only to realise they have made it to 7th heaven. Their plight is over.
