Jan.30th Class – International Finance – in this class we focus on exchange rates and some of the issue surrounding finance in the international realm.
Jan. 25 Class – Tata Motors Case – In this case we will examine the Tata Motors case to identify the elements of an acquisition present and explain reason for Tata Motors to acquire Daewoo.
January 23rd Class – Mergers and Acquisition – In this class we are going to do a quick review of work so far to date. We are then going to look at mergers and acquisitions.
January 18th Class – Options – We will take a look at the payoffs and pitfalls from options.
January 16th Class Forwards and Futures – we will look at how futures and fowards contracts function. As well we will take a quick look at SWAPs.
Jan.11 Class – Chapters 13 and 14 – In today’s class we will look more closely at capital budgeting. Be prepared to work in groups, create a capital budget (HIGHLY recommended to have Excel available) and create a model which can the sensitivity of NPV to changes in input.
Jan.9th Class – Chapters 9 and 10 – In this pre-class briefing, we are going to review how the CAPM interprets the risk-return trade-off in Chapters 9 and 10.
Chapter 3 and 4 Briefing – We review financial statements, ratios and their interpretation.
Chapter 2 Briefing – We highlight business organizational structures and the role of financial management.
