What am I willing to lose to serve Christ? Will I really pray to enter into His suffering? I thank God I can lean into Him and He continue to transform me.
What do we gain truly by pushing our self forward and above others? We are meant to live this life in community and seeing to the needs of others, living like Christ loves us.
May the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord! Yes and amen!
Living a life that loves others well and shows Gods love for them is what we are called to do. Help us to be Jesus to others.
Do you feel you are toiling away? That life if hard right now? That answers are not being given? How can we come together and find peace?
Lord, hear our prayer is our cry today. Be with us and turn towards us. Keep us on your path.
We conclude this series talking about being Jesus to those outside of our walls and looking to see how we connect with others.
I want to look life in the eye and sing praises to the Lord. We look at this in Psalm 13.

We begin our third week of advent where we will focus on joy and finding that joy in our savior.
Like sheep knowing the voice of their Sheppard, we will know the voice of God when we listen with our heart.
We look in John 10 as Jesus uses a story of a flock of sheep to show us how he is the gate that gives us life.
We enter into our second Sunday of advent and this week we will focus on where our faith is held.
We conclude our first week of advent with the ways that Jesus is our greatest advocate. I pray you are feeling blessed with these messages of hope this week.

The week started all bright and shiny for me. It was my birthday week and I was excited because I love birthdays. Then events happened that left me feeling angry and sad and not sure what it means to love those around me. I was not sure what it meant to understand that even though someone does not believe the same as me, they are not my enemy. I was not sure as I read posts, watched news channels and talked with others what it meant to be a follower of Jesus who is called to Love the Lord with all my heart and then to love my neighbor as myself. As I am reading the New Testament and Psalms this year, I am looking for insight in how I can surrender to God in all areas of my life. Today I am looking at who am I that God would want to use me in any way. As I do, I am looking at the lineage of Jesus through Joseph, a man with several in his line that may not be who you think would be the best candidates to appear in the lineage of the man that would mold and care for the Son of God. If you, like me, need a little encouragement as we start this Monday morning, I pray these words do that for you. I have been awake since 4:00 am spending time with the Lord, going over all of my worries, fears, praises, requests. 4:00 am is always my "wonderful" time, in the dark, to fear the worst. The light of day and the presence of the Lord help me to bring the truth into better focus. This morning, as I was beginning my praying, I felt led to turn on some worship music on shuffle. The first song that came on really spoke to me, Carry Me by Josh Wilson. I need this song on repeat today to remind me that God can carry me through all that is happening.

Hannah has plans to go to Zambia, Africa with Overland Missions for six months starting this June. Hannah went to Zambia in 2019 and fell in love with the land and the people. You can hear Hannah's love come through as we discuss her time there in Africa. When it comes to leaning on the word of God and having a verse that leads our life, we both had words that we cling to. I have clung to Jeremiah 29:11 and Hannah referenced two different verses, Matthew 19:29 and 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.

Heather Meadows is a wife, mother, author, speaker, blogger, nurse, friend, faithful follower of Jesus. Heather shares her story from how she began speaking to youth 20 years ago to speaking at conferences. Her core message is that everyone has value.
Heather's book, Transforming Tragedy, tells of the motorcycle accident that she was involved in at age 7, leaving her older brother dead and her burned over 87% of her body. She has traveled to Haiti with Mission of Hope to help build houses for families in need and plans to travel to the Dominican Republic with this same organization in the coming year.
