Brock
dj/producer : techno
Brock developed a love for Techno in the early 1990s while attending all-night warehouse parties in Detroit. He drew most of his musical influences from the likes of Jeff Mills, Claude Young, Twonz, Murat, and Eric Haupt. Although initially favoring the harder, acid end of the techno spectrum, over the years his taste grew to include deeper, funkier vibes. He has played at clubs and parties in places like Detroit, Chicago, and Florida, but always mixed records more for his love of music than a profession. In 2001 he stepped away from everything to focus on school and family. In 2011 the draw of techno finally got him again. Remaining true to his underground roots, his sets are always energy filled and track selection is always quality…both old and new.

Richard Kuiper
[aka Mouse]
dj/producer :
techno : acid
Richard Kuiper, or Mouse, sound engineer and designer, likes to produce music in an eccentric fasion. Allthough fasinated by underground culture and mainstream; mouse likes to bend the guidelines and aproach the music without all his knowledge. Constantly breaking patterns in workflow, while following a basic path in the techno genre.
It started on a commodore 64 vic with a software synthesiser program- "Synthesiser." As a young boy he spent hours figuring out what all the knobs did; without knowledge, sounds came and went. And sessions mostly ended when there was no sound comming from the program. In the end he did not understand anything about synthesis, but surely made sounds that where sent to space. Or maybe send from space. The music flowes just flows!
On the commodore, Mouse had the vision of starting a studio where sound could be manipulated and captured. Later he started programming on the well known 486 computer, and made modules that where very popular in the 90s. This was the moment Mouse started to realise that the sounds he really wanted to make were impossible on any instrument. This realization opened doorways to infinte possibillities in a still limited domain.
Currently educated as soundengineer, he still likes to start a music project as if it is his first.
Ït keeps the student in me alive" - Richard Kuiper [aka/ Mouse]
He mostly works on obsecure, unique and quite underrated electronic instruments and is a big fan of audio tape. Especially the analog sound captured on the compact cassette. For Mouse there are no rules in audio, only guidelines.

Steve Kuehl
dj/producer : techno, acid, abstract and varients
label owner : BWLR (brainwave lab recordings)
A native to the Detroit area, was introduced to techno music back in the days of Hastings, Broadway, Heaven & Hell and other undisclosed locations in the early to mid 90's. Steve became interested in mixing and began actively pursuing his interests in the industry during the mid 90's. Playing out at places like the Packard Plant, other Detroit locations, Windsor and throughout the Midwest at many locations in the middle of nowhere, lost but not forgotten. Recently, Steve Kuehl started a concept series to convey his new musical interests, as over the years it has evolved :
brainwavelabs concept series (now rev. 2.0)
(perceptual beginnings for BWLR // brainwave lab recordings)
([ today you will hear rev. 2.1 a more abstract revision 'future mix' :])
the next phase in the concept that will swiftly define collective perception and rememberance through a series of releases. Closely converging on the collaborative DetunD/BWLR release; BWLR EP1 will be available in January 2012 bringing and adding unique culture to the electronic music community. Highsage
(aka Acid Trace)
Producer // DJ
Acid // Techno
Tonight BWLR is proud to present a special 1hr podcast featuring Highsage (aka - Acid Trace). This was done LIVE with Elektron as well as other gear-deep from within the Acid Bunker Lair... quick min. tour in the following vid clip!
http://twitvid.com/P6OOJ
Bio excerpt:
Highsage produces techno and acid with machines in the classic Detroit TR-style of programming. An avid synth lover and beta tester for Elektron and other synth manufactures, and a DIY bender. With releases out on Napalm Enema (Can), AC Records (Berlin) and now Detund, he's quickly becoming known for hard analog techno, twisted time signatures, and psychedelic use of FX. Beyond producing, he is also pushing the live hardware performance front forward, performing live shows in So Cal and Vegas using the Elektron "Trinity" of drum machine, sampler and synth: 140 bpm techno performances shrouded in cuts, cymbal pitch rides, glitch, and carefully selected field samples and FX, with a nod to classic acid modulation of every part. He also plays the horn, hacks the planet, mentors younger artists on the early 90's rave culture, and works in a warehouse factory where space shuttle parts are born (with field recorder in hand!) ... as with the previous podcast episodes, links with bio / more info will be posted here later... for now enjoy !

Paulo AV Bio
Dj and Producer : Techno
I was born in Costa Rica at the beginning of the 70’s during a period of great musical diversity and influence. Drawing upon my own foundations of traditional dance-oriented Central American music, then seamlessly adapting to the popular music of elsewhere – British rock, Dub, Disco, Punk – what emerged would be a recognized as a distinctly Costarican sound. This ongoing trend would serve me as the background track for my formative years, when i found the birth of a new sound in my city’s basement: electronic music. I learned about composition, digital studio recording and desktop arrangement. My passion for electronic music its influenced more for Techno. Music production and djing is my passion. Now I been Podcasting on internet radios like Fnoob: Frech Technothon, Latin America Technothon, Dark Beat Factory, BWLR, Techno Reactor, Radio Teksessions (France), The Difference with Stevie Wilson (Scotland) among others.
