This week we look at chapters 2-3 of the Book of Revelation. In it we find some words of challenge from God to his people. We take time to zoom in two of the specific challenges and how they apply to our day.
We take an hour to tackle one of the hardest books in the Bible; Revelation! Anthony takes us through showing us what this book is, and what it's trying to do. We look at some of the central features and figures in the book.
We close our series in 1st John by looking at how John anchors all of the arguments he's been making in Jesus himself.
Tyler Johnson takes us through this amazing passage, and articulates what it means for God to be love while also showing us how often we let fear be our main motivator instead of God's love.
Anthony takes us through this little passage that references the antichrist again, and tells us to "test the spirits".
Rand Habegger takes us through this very interesting passage at the end of 1st John chapter 3.
Pastor Anthony takes us through another passage reminding us that love is the way in which we conduct our lives as believers.

This week Anthony takes us through how 1st John 2 wants to encourages us about God has done is, but also warn us about loving the world.
We look at the ideas of obedience and love in 1st John 2. We learn that the intensity of this passage should motivate us. God's love should transform us, and it will also radicalize us.
Rand Habegger helps us see that we can look to Christ when we sin. Every time we sin we can be reminded that he is our advocate and our atonement.

We end our We Want a King Series by Looking at Solomon's Legacy. Solomon is gone and dead but he leaves things behind. We look at those, who God shows himself to be in the midst of that, and the sort of lineage that follows him.
The author of 1st Kings continues to detail the character development of King Solomon. In this sermon pastor Anthony helps us look more closely at Solomon's heart, affections, and age.
We look at three highlights from prayers that Solomon prays during this lengthy dedication of the temple. In all three highlights we see aspects of who God is.
This week we spend time in 1st Kings 6 looking at three things; the temple, the covenant, and the king. Then we see how each of those points to Jesus who is better in every way.
Anthony takes us through an introduction of King Solomon, the 3rd King of Israel. Solomon's introduction shows us who God is in at least three ways.
We have existed as church that meets on Sundays for 10 years! Anthony takes us through who he has seen that God has made us to be presently, and what he hopes we grow into.
We take one last look at David's life. What does the author of 2nd Samuel want to leave us with as we get to the end of David's life? We see the God of all power is bothered by abuses of power.
We discover in tragic detail how the prophesied consequences of David's sin fall on his family, and find ourselves yearning for a better family, a better friend, and a better king.
We see one of the darkest days of David as king. We let the passage preach to us about what God might be speaking to us through this story.
We look at David's powerful, kind, loyal love to Mephibosheth. We see how it all points to King Jesus, and his love for humanity in at least 5 different ways.

Anthony finishes up Colossians by going through four questions about God's mission that he felt the text compels us to ask.
Anthony takes us through a tough passage where Paul and Timothy speak to slaves and masters. What do we do with texts like this? How do we understand them? Does God speak through these kinds of passages today?
Anthony takes some time to talk about how crucial love is to parenting in the Christian family.
Anthony takes us through Paul's commands to wives and husbands. What is God trying to speak to our marriages? Why are Paul's words hard for us to hear? We take some time to talk through both of those ideas.
Anthony takes us through three things that need to matter for the church. Our union with Jesus, our thinking, and knowing where we are in the story of God matters.
Rand Habegger takes us through a wonderful passage that shows us all we have in Christ. In Christ we have our foundation, and our freedom from worldly philosophy, sin, spiritual enemies, and legalism!
Today we look at four ways Paul labored for the church. We see he has a labor of suffering, a labor of the word, a labor towards maturity, and a labor of love.
Today we looked at an ancient hymn or poem found in Colossians 1. It speaks to us in a way that gives us a bigger vision of who Jesus is. We take some time to look at some of those things the hymn tells us about Jesus in hopes that our view of Jesus grows.
We open up the letter to the Colossians looking at a prayer of thanksgiving, a prayer for wisdom, and all sorts of encouragement and formation by the Gospel.
This Easter, Anthony has us try to see more about the resurrection than we have. We look at what God is doing in history, the powers that have been defeated, and where we can find hope.
We take one last look at the Gospel of John. Jesus commands Peter and us to follow him. We also reflect on Jesus' "I am" statements, as well as his call to us to become foot washers with him.
Pastor Rochto walks us through Peter's restoration. We see the gentle and firm kindness of Jesus.
Pastor Seth takes us through Jesus' interaction with Thomas. Seth does an amazing job shepherding us through doubt, and teaching us about doubt.
Anthony takes us through a passage in which the resurrected Jesus appears to some of the disciples and tells them that he is now sending them into the world as he was sent by his father.
Anthony takes us through the scenes of the empty tomb. We get to watch this wonderful conversation unfold between Mary Magdalene and Jesus. We learn that the resurrection changes everything.
Anthony takes us through Jesus' burial scene. We get to watch two unlikely people bury Jesus and then see what this passage teaches us.
Anthony takes us through the scenes leading up to the crucifixion. What we see is the inadvertent coronation and ironic display of the true king of the world. We take time to look at that king.
Sandy Mason takes us through the great substitution story found in all four gospels, where the crowd picks Barabbas over Jesus.
Pastor Anthony takes us through an incredible conversation that Jesus has with Pilate. Jesus is put under a magnifying glass as we look at this conversation.
Pastor Anthony encourages us to look at Jesus as he's getting arrested. In this sermon his goal is that we would see more clearly who Jesus is, and his hope is that we would come to love Jesus more because of it.
John Pope takes us through how Jesus prays protection, purity, and purpose over his disciples.
We start our time in John 17, looking at this prayer of Jesus that helps us get to know Jesus more, and form us into more mature disciples of his.
This week we take a look at the vice of apathy towards the poor. Are we people that even think of the poor at all? Or will we be a people with "healthy eyes" as Jesus says, that see the poor and care for the poor?
This week we look at the vices of coveting, consumerism, and materialism, along with their damaging effects. Then we look at how God leads us into contentment, gratitude, and simplicity.
We look at how the vices of greed and the love of money draw us in during the Christmas season, and then contrast that with the virtue of generosity that we are called to and see displayed in the advent story.
Jesus wants the disciples to see and know some things in the three days the await the resurrection. He wants us to see and know those same things as we await the resurrection of all things.
This week we see that the Holy Spirit is better for us and does a work of convicting and speaking to us.
We continue to look at what it means to abide, which is to love one another, but we also see that as we love one another, love encounters hate.
This week we look at John chapter 15 where Jesus encourages us to abide in him, the true vine.
In this sermon we take time to look at Jesus' introduction of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Helper and the Spirit of Truth, and brings peace, reminders, and presence.
We wrap up our countercultural convictions series by talking about how the Bible views singleness, and how that is countercultural to the culture's view on singleness.
