When I've been asked this question I have never been able to provide an answer, except to say only God knows and to trust God, although it is very difficult and confusing, there is a reason beyond our understanding.
Realizing that this is a very difficult answer to accept I decided to pose this question to a close friend and a believer to hopefully provide further insight and answer to this question.
I hope her answer provides some comfort or solace to this very difficult question.
