My biggest musical influence.🎵

The one & only, Sue Nussbaum.❤️

A lovely chat as my mum is a natural in her podcasting debut, with some musical revelations I had no idea about and one of my favourite Fantasy Festival lineups including a compere, 2 Encores, some and she also gets a very special guest.💃

My only love, the only one, You're my wifey…🎵

It’s a celebration and for #99 of The Fantastival Podcast as it’s time to get the wifey involved, clearly the better half, and she’s hear to talk all about music, it can only be the one and only Sarah Nussbaum (Sarah P, Sarah Nuss, etc).

I really wanted to get Sarah on and I’m glad she agreed to it as she really is the unsung hero of The Fantastival Podcast, and I was so nervous I fluffed my introduction multiple times (never happened once before), hence we have a pre-recorded introduction and an outro in a very special episode.

Sit down and let Sarah take you through the tracks of her years as she talks about the music throughout her life that matters to her, favourite gigs, first albums, and collates her Fantasy Festival with a twist plus lots more.

And after you’ve listened go check out Sarah’s Spotify Playlist from her chosen Fantasy Festival acts:

This week we have some words from our awesome guest Dave Dhannoo about himself and music...

Dave, 34, fellow South Stander watching the mighty O’s.

'When it comes to music, I’d say the majority of the stuff I listen to is instrumental. I guess the origins of instrumental music comes from an early age – 5/6 years old. I remember my mum buying a Classical Musical magazine which I believe was fortnightly. Every issue came with a tape of a featured classical music composer – Mozart, Handel, etc. I remember her playing the tapes at home and really liked the melodies. I also remember at Primary School my old headmaster would play classical music when we walked into assembly – felt it very calming again – early memory of appreciating music – also remember walking into assembly one time and theme tune to Chariots of Fire was playing – just loving that synthy Intro’.

So now listen to Dave who joins Steve to talk all things music, collate his Fantasy Festival, talk about the acts who made it and acts that just missed out with plenty of stories along the way.

And once you’ve listened to the episode there’s a treat waiting for you as we have put together a Spotify Playlist with all Dave’s selected acts and tunes he spoke about:

Holy cow we are up to Episode 38 and finally have the awesomeness that is Jordan Hayward on The Fantastival Podcast as he joins Steve to talk all things music and collate his Fantasy Festival by choosing 5 acts (1 playing a full studio album), venue and an encore of any song which all of his acts will perform together.

This was a real fun podcast to do as we realised fairly early on that Steve knew absolutely nothing (apart from 1 act) about Jordan’s musical tastes as he shared some great stories about CD Walkmans, whose concert he got blackout drunk at not once but twice, the rudest celebrity he has met (surprising to be honest) plus lots more about Mr Hayward himself.
