There are seasons where we are being tested for promotion from God. We discussed this more in the Embracing God in our Summer Season where we are being purged and purified for the purpose of becoming even more like Him. When we don't recognize these tests, we risk repeating the test. This opens us up to stagnation, delays, and detours along with repeated disappointments! God doesn't want this for us. Honestly, I didn't completely understand who Jesus was when I agreed that He would be my Lord and Savior. I, like so many Christians, said YES, because the Christian camp I attended at the age of 13 encouraged me to, along with my family and church. Yes, I'm saved. But I always felt something was missing from me just signing up and getting dunked in a pool, messing up my hair! Can you relate? But there came a moment in my life where just saying the name, Jesus felt fake and just rehearsed. I didn't feel a real connection to just saying that. It wasn't until I CHOSE to challenge God in who His Word says He is, that I began to understand this faith is about building a relationship not a ritual! Let's chat! Maybe you feel the same way!
