We took a break so we can focus on learning, progressing, and focusing on the BLM movement. We will be continuing to learn and progress moving forward. If you did not listen to last week's episode, go back. We provided some great resources to dive into that will help you become an ally for our black, indigenous, and POC brothers and sisters. If you have any recommendations, please send us a DM on shiptalk_ on Instagram.
This week we provided an update on how things are going to be moving forward. We also provided an update on how we are doing with our move. This includes a story about our adventures on Craigslist.
Feel free to provide us with feedback on our Instagram page (shiptalk_)
Thanks!
Sloppy and Sassy
We are doing something different this week.
As many of you are, our attention has been on the wrongful killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, and the following protests for justice against oppression and systematic racism.
As two privileged individuals, we want to learn, progress, and change.
Instead of doing a classic episode, we want all of you to take the time you would dedicate listening to this podcast, and focus it on listening/reading/learning to and about black voices. It is the least we could do.
The people/resources we have recommended in this episode are the following:
