When They Prayed

“When they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” (Acts 4:31)

Our Bishop has asked us to spend time in intentional prayer this year. The theme of our annual conference is “When They Prayed,” from Acts 4:31. As we look toward Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit, we are going to use the scriptures that will be used by the annual conference preachers, slightly rearranged so that Mary’s prayer lands on Mother’s Day.

May 7:  When they prayed like Naomi, Ruth 1:8

May 14: When they prayed like Mary, Luke 1:46-56

May 21: When they prayed like Nehemiah, Nehemiah 1:5

May 28: When they prayed on Pentecost Acts 4:31

June 4:  When they prayed like Peter, Acts 9:40

Glad to be your PRAYING pastors,

Rebecca along with Garth
