Welcome to Messages at Boise Bible College!
In these chapel recordings, you’ll hear from professors, staff, guest speakers as well as students at Boise Bible College. Chapel happens every Tuesday and Thursday at Boise Bible College as a time to gather, grow, and rest together. Boise Bible College exists to raise up leaders for the Church - where we value scholarship, humility, innovation, and community.

About Chapel: The focus for this year in Chapel is to simply belong to Jesus and serve Jesus. The purpose of the fall Chapel messages is to challenge the members of the college family to take on the character of Christ to BE like Jesus, so that people can see Jesus in us. Then the emphasis of the spring Chapel messages will encourage our campus community to live out our lives in a Christlike way so that others see Jesus working through us. We are seeking to be a discipleship community where each one of us simply seeks to be Jesus’ for the sake of others to see, know, and belong to God. Learn more at www.boisebible.edu. About Sean:
In 1995 Sean married Angel, the love of his life. They now have four children together as well as a fantastic son-in-law. Born in Tokyo, Japan, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sean moved to Orange Country, California where he was introduced to Jesus as a teenager. Having radically altered his path by the life-changing hope of Jesus, he decided to attend Hope International University, where he earned a BA in Biblical Studies and Church Growth. Sean served ten years as a student ministry pastor in Northridge, California, and Tigard, Oregon. In 2004, Sean and Angel planted a church with Expand Northwest where he served as the lead pastor for ten years. Sean has been the Executive Director for Expand Northwest since 2011. Sean and his family live in Tigard, Oregon. He enjoys a strong cup of bold roast coffee, a good day of surfing on the Oregon coast and spending quality time with his family. His passion is to see Jesus Christ exalted and the kingdom of God expanded through encouraging and equipping God’s people.

During Spring Conference 2022, we heard Boise Bible College staff walk us through Romans 12 - 15. Enjoy these messages! Romans 12 – 15 encourages us to completely surrender to God as He transforms our relationships and brings the love of Jesus to a chaotic world. This passage in Romans teaches us to have a caring spirit, to love to the fullest, to be willing to submit, and to live in unity.

About Chapel:
The chapel theme for the 2021-2022 year is "upRoar". The Greek word that is translated as “uproar” isἐκταράσσω (ektarassō),: to agitate, to disturb wholly, to exceedingly trouble. Although an uproar is “seen,” it is preceded with a subversive force. The church operates in a similar way, being subversive to the rhythm of the culture it exists within. It is the perpetuation of this subversive force that causes and creates an uproar that is seen and felt. It is our goal this year to explore ways for us to participate in the subversive kingdom force that will create an uproar in the culture God calls us to.

This week is Spiritual Leadership Week at Boise Bible College. The campus welcomes Robert Frazier to be our guest!
Robert Fraizer leads several entrepreneurial endeavors including The City Network and Solid Media Creative. In addition, he is the Pastor at Redemption Hill Boise.
During Spiritual Leadership Week, he will be guiding the campus on an exploration of the local church, specifically the micro-church model of meeting in homes. He will shed light on a syndicate of micro-churches in the Boise area that are following the biblical model of shepherd-led gatherings that effectively live out Acts 2:42 (instruction, communion, fellowship, prayer) to influence the city for Jesus. He will explore how micro-churches have a highly relational motive for discipleship, disciple-making, and multiplication.

Each spring semester, one or two seniors from each degree program who is graduating are able to preach in chapel. This experience is a culmination of the equipping that has happened while at Boise Bible College. At the end of the sermon, the tradition is for the student body, staff, and faculty to pray over the graduate as they embark on where God is calling them post-graduation.
About the speaker:
In this sermon, you will hear Rachel Younis. Rachel is from Lahore, Pakistan. She has five members in her family - parents and three siblings. All of her siblings are studying in Pakistan's well-recognized universities. Her father is an architect and her mother is a school teacher. All are following our Lord. Altogether, she is a fourth-generation Christian in her family. Her life in Pakistan as a Christian woman has been very challenging and this made her passionate to work in the future with women and children in countries like Pakistan. She has received a Bachelor's in Economics honors degree in Pakistan, and currently working on my Bachelor's in Christian Leadership from Boise Bible College.

Ephesians 1:3-14 - Are we fully confident in who we are in Christ? Paul’s reminders in the letter to the Ephesian Christians can help move us from a frozen state of fear or hesitation to go BASE jumping into the mission Jesus calls us. Paul reminds that the Church has been chosen, redeemed, and sealed. This pre-selected, pre-determined, chosen organism is the avenue for anyone to be redeemed “in Christ.” Furthermore, the Spirit is God’s pledge-of-promise to complete what He started in His people. Take courage…step forward! He has promised the Holy Spirit’s presence & power to testify of the grace we’ve received. God is faithful and will never leave us on our own to jump into the very thing He’s called us to!
