McMillan Fiberglass Stocks (MFS) began on the dining room table of Gale and Gloria McMillan in 1973. Making benchrest stocks for competitors soon forced the business into what started out as a carport and storage shed but was soon turn into a garage shop. By 1975 MFS was ready to hire its first employee, Kelly McMillan. From day one, every time Gale showed Kelly how to do something, it became his job, with the intent of freeing up Gale to build rifles. By 1979 Kelly was made a partner, and by 1984 Kelly was in charge of running the stock shop. Since that time MFS has continued to grow with innovation and design. Today McMillan Fiberglass Stocks has a 15,000 sq. ft. facility and 65 employees. Over half of the employees have worked for MFS for over 15 years while a dozen have reached or are near 30 years with the company. MFS manufactures around 12,000 stocks per year, most of which are individual customers ordering one custom built stock at a time.

These competitions are held around the country where 100% of proceeds go back to Bethany to help orphans find their forever family, raising over $300,000 since 2014. brbr Our next guest, Nick Vitalbo, is the president of nVision Technology Inc. and nVisti, LLC. He began his career at Lockheed Martin where he was one of the principal engineers on various infrared countermeasures and optical communication programs. Later, he became the technical director and chief engineer for all Precision Engagement Technology programs. He has acted as the chief engineer on many programs and projects such as the STORM SLX-E, RAPTAR-S, Kestrel 5700 w/ AB, and the KILO2400ABS.
Our first guest, Rob Furlong, is a Canadian former military sniper who at one time held the record for the longest confirmed sniper kill in combat, at 2,430 m (2,657 yd), when he took aim with his long-range sniper weapon (LRSW), a .50-calibre McMillan Brothers Tac-50 rifle. brbr Our next guest, Bob Beck, is the host of Extreme Outer Limits, a cutting-edge outdoor television series dedicated to the rapidly growing, long range hunting enthusiast. He has won a record eleven NRA National High Power Rifle Championship titles at Camp Perry, Ohio. brbr Trophies aside, though, David's biggest contribution to our shooting sports is his innovative mind. After his service was complete he was hired by the Evansville, IN Police Department and earned a position as a SWAT Sniper. In 2008 he started 8541Tactical.com, in order to provide information to Military, Law Enforcement and Civilian Precision Rifle Shooters. The website evolved into a YouTube Channel with videos covering in-depth reviews and tutorials.

David Gaboury has been engaged with the firearms industry since the early 1970s where he worked in his father's gun shop. That exposure lead to a lifelong interest in guns that included retail sales, export services, shooting range management, reloading, collecting and participation in many shooting sports. Jim Ketchum has been a custom Gun maker in Petaluma, California since 1985 which is also the year he placed his first McMillan stock order. 32 years later Jim is still doing what he loves to do and that is, building rifles for just about any big game hunting in the world. brbr Our next guest is Joe Coury who serves as the director of development for Peterson Cartridge. Our first guest, George Gardner of G.A. Precision, has been gunsmithing and now building custom rifles, for over 16 years. He apprenticed under 3 different gunsmiths who together have a total of 75 years experience. For the past 14 years, George has been working with precision bolt-action rifles and for the last twelve years, building custom rifles professionally. brbr Our next guest, Ryan Pierce, Owner of Piercision Rifles, started Piercision Rifles back in 2010 while working with Brux Barrels and then apprenticing under Jim See of Center Shot Rifles. In the last couple of years Ryan has applied record setting techniques to long range hunting rifles. The accuracy of these rifles speaks for themselves with customers sending him groups in the .1’s and .2’s MOA on a regular basis with some in the .0s.

brbr Our first guest ‘Billy Boots’ Buckman, was born in 1945 in the Texas town of Bogata, and was taught the proper use of guns as early as he can remember. In 1978 Billy started shooting International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association (IHMSA) competition and hunting other game with different guns from the growing handgun arsenal. He is now a Life Member in the National Rifle Association, Safari Club International, Texas State Rifle Association, SASS, and IHMSA. brbr Our next guest, Carl Bernosky, worked in the family furniture business until his parents retired and was offered an opportunity to start duplicating rifle stocks. Since then, Carl has been building rifles and duplicating stocks full time.

Seven countries sent teams to Canada to compete in the Richardson Trophy Match―the Team World Championship for F-T/R. br br Alex Wheeler started competitive shooting at local, long range club matches, and was hooked from the start. In 2014 he was lucky enough to set two 1,000 yard world records under the Williamsport Benchrest rules at Deep Creek in Montana. As a drag racer and mechanic for 14 years Alex did a lot of his own work on his rifles as well as for friends; when the time was right he decided to make it his career. br br Gary Schneider, became interested in barrel making as a teen, when Remington was developing processes for barrel making and contracted his neighbor to make the tools. His neighbor had many experimental tools that Gary enjoyed learning about and got to study some of the rejected barrels and that piqued his interest.
brbr Our first guest is Mark Lonsdale, a former national and internationally ranked Judo competitor and competitive shooter. He is also a Firearms training consultant and founded Specialized Tactical Training Unit (STTU) 1982 – to provide services for numerous law enforcement and military training contracts . Mark is also the author of several books to include Sniper Counter Sniper; CQB; Raids; Sniper II; Advanced Weapons Training for Hostage Rescue; SRT Diver; Alpine Operations; and United States Navy Diver. brbr Next up is Gordie White. brbr Nick Owens, or ‘Beard’ as he’s known, was 5 years old when his Dad gave him an AR15 to shoot, and put a band aid on one eye to keep it shut. Once he started building rifles, word of mouth led to Owens Armory being established, which brought his buddy Tomas Meraz to AZ, to help get the business off the ground. brbr Ian Kelbly knew he’d end up in the firearms industry when he was 7 years old and wanted to be like his Grandfather, who started Kelbly’s in 1981 in North Lawrence, OH. With over 50 world records on their products in the last ten years, Kelbly’s is one of the most well-known rifle builders in the world.
brbr Our first guest is Todd Hodnett of Accuracy1st, who has been teaching long distance shooting disciplines to the military for the past 14 years. Most sniper schools use several of his formulas for wind and more. Bryce learned to work hard & play hard growing up in Evanston, Wyoming as the son of a general contractor and President of the Wyoming Wildlife Federation. brbr Next is Will McCloskey, a self-taught welder and carpenter who worked in the trades most of his adult life. Will has been shooting since he was 6yrs old and took up F-class competition in 2011. Will started Cerus Rifleworks in Feb 2017 after a year of designing stock shapes, building the shop, and working out the manufacturing process.

TJ is recognized as a mountain-hunting expert and is always in search of unique adventures that challenge both him and his gear. brbr Terry Herndon works full time with the Mule Deer Foundation as a conservationist, fundraiser and liaison to the State of Arizona, and federal groups, to benefit mule deer in Arizona. Terry was awarded the Mentor of the Year from the Arizona Game and Fish Department for his unwavering support of introducing youth in Arizona to the outdoors.
Our first guest is Randy Powell, Owner and Operator of Thunder Ammo & Arms in Hominy Oklahoma, a family business that Randy started as a hobby in 2006 to pursue competing in the FCSA 50 BMG matches. Randy’s new passion is ELR (extreme long range) shooting.
