There's a lot going on in my house right now... but there's a lot going on in online sports betting, too. Chase has early thoughts on betting NBA and NHL, plus some numerical analysis for betting early college hoops. Here's the takeaway: if a college basketball total moves up at least 6.5 points, you might want to think about tailing the steam. Same thing for totals that move down by at least three points.

For that reason, we're on Georgia/Wake Forest Under 144.5 on Friday night. The podcast is also playing Colorado +34.5 at USC in the college football market, too. As always, all lines per BetMGM.

On this week's podcast, we stan for a college football team from the great state of Tennessee... and it's probably not the one you think. Stand up, Skyhawks!

FIRST: More crappy NFL odds on Thursday Night Football, as the New Orleans Saints head to Arizona to play the Cardinals. Just like last week, I'm recommending you turn off the garbage pro game and take a look at a far superior college game. Troy (+3) heads to South Alabama in a game with huge Sun Belt championship implications.

THEN: My five best bets from the Week 8 College Football slate, including contrarian favorites at Baylor and Clemson.

LATER: The NFL picks have had several straight winning weeks at this point, and I see no reason they'll slow down with another sharp card for this weekend. Don't listen to all the other podcasts out there banging the drum for the Detroit Lions... I've got the smartest way to attack this game. And it isn't a full-game side!

No fluff and no BS in Part 2 of this week's handicapping episodes. I don't like a lot of NFL spots this weekend, and I'm not going to give back any of the money we've made over the last month and change by trying to force it.

I do really like a couple of first-half lines on Sunday, though...

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: Commanders (pk) at Bears. Ugh. This game is awful.

Don't forget to check out those college football picks for this weekend, too! They're back in the Wednesday episode.

I got lots of positive feedback last week on the split-episode formatting, so we're back this week with a Wednesday podcast exclusive to college football! As usual, Chase explains his five best bets of the Week 7 college football betting card. He also outlines how many of the week's top games feature public underdogs that are being hammered by the public. In many cases, the lines aren't moving at all. Beware the public dog!

Our college football best bets are 14-6-1 over the past month! Tough to do better than that, my friends.

Come back on Thursday for the NFL Week 6 episode!

Here's Part 2 of this week's experimental podcast -- broken up into two sections, for those of you who prefer to keep your college handicaps separated from your NFL picks!

FIRST: How to bet Colts (+3.5) at Broncos on Thursday Night Football. Chase does have a play in the game.

LATER: Best Bets for Week 5, including an argument for laying the whopping 14 points in Sunday's Bills/Steelers game.

Don't forget to check out those college football picks for this weekend, too! They're back in the Wednesday episode.

Trying something a little different this week. Here's the full Week 6 college football card -- 5 official picks, plus 10 more leans to consider -- and I'm dropping it in a solo, CFB-specific podcast a full day earlier than usual. You've got 72 hours to marinate on this information and decide what you like!

Our college football best bets are 12-4 over the past three episodes!

AIRHORN: Southern Methodist (+3) travels to Orlando for a weeknight make-up game with UCF that was scattered by Hurricane Ian. Sharp bettors clearly prefer one side.

LATER: As the world's literal foremost expert on how to bet JMU Football, I am here to tell you that this market is still wildly inefficient.

PICKS ARE STILL HOT! Chase has a new slate of College Football and NFL picks for this weekend's action.

This week, Chase invites Trysta Krick to the show for an extended conversation about her background in sports, finance, and... caddying for senators? Trysta explains the angles and data points she prefers to evaluate before making bets in NFL and college football markets.

AIRHORN: no tennis picks for this episode, since Chase's favorite pick for Thursday actually takes place in Estonia at 4am EDT. But we do have a great prop of 14 CFB picks & leans. Yes, we're still betting Ole Miss under. Penn State (-27) will roll Northwestern; a MAC team is now way overvalued; an AAC underdog that's going to win outright. And more!

NFL: Bengals -4 on TNF. Keep riding with the undefeated Dolphins, or lay the points with Cincy? Chase does have a side, and it's one of his favorite plays of the week. Plus: Four more NFL sides!

You can't do better than perfect! Chase's college football picks were perfect last week, and we're looking to keep that momentum rolling into Week 4 of the college football schedule.

This week's solo pod starts with three great Thursday handicaps right out of the gate. Be very wary of Steelers +4.5, as nearly 80 percent of the tickets are backing Pittsburgh as a huge public dog. Despite the ticket count, the line has moved from Browns -3 to Browns -4.5. There are better Thursday night football opportunities!

Airhorn: Georgia State +2.5 is about as smelly as they come. We're also backing Daniel Evans to win in straight sets (-105) at ATP San Diego on Thursday afternoon.

NCAAF Odds: Five more official picks from Chase (plus Georgia State), including another team total and another Ole Miss under. And you can call him a homer if you like, but JMU is getting too many points in boone. JMU has shrunk from +10 to +7 over the last five days.

NFL: Kansas City is square... and we don't care. Lay the -6.5. Plus three more sides, two leans, and a total.

It's a STACKED episode with more than two dozen bets and leans for this weekend!

This might be a Thursday podcast, but I'm always going to hop on to talk college football if something crazy happens.

Something crazy did indeed happen during Week 2 of the 2022 college football season, as Sun Belt football stole center stage from Alabama/Texas. App State beat Texas A&M Marshall beat Notre Dame; Georgia Southern beat Nebraska and got Scott Frost fired. All three wins were on the road.

The Fun Belt has become the Stun Belt in a very short amount of time... so I called up Chris Vannini of The Athletic to react to what it all means.

Airhorn: Talking through odds and picks for Week 1 of Monday Night Football: Broncos (+6.5) at Seahawks.

If you've been listening to the podcast, you've heard everyone say it.

"Which conference do you think is the most interesting right now?" I ask.

"It's the Big 12," everyone says.

So, rather than blather on about whether my Mountaineers can finally do something worth talking about this season, I called up one of the best Big 12 guests I know -- Phillip Slavin, the kingpin of the Ten12 media network. Err, empire. Sorry, Phillip.

Here, Phillip and I do about 20 minutes on which Big 12 favorites & sleepers we like for the 2022 college football season. Are his Cowboys a legit conference contender after losing a ton from last year's team? Should you lay the 37 with Texas? And just what should we expect from Brent Venables & Co. during his opening foray into head coaching in Norman? Phillip has the answers.

Airhorn: My official ATS picks (plus one moneyline parlay!) for Week 1, plus an extra crop of leans for good measure.

Later: Let's appreciate the Backyard Brawl! And, if you want to bet it... c'mon. You've gotta take the points with West Virginia.

Week 1 of the college football season has arrived, and we've got the absolute perfect guest for it: Phil Steele. For 28 years, Steele's summer magazines have set the gold standard for summer preview magazines, in part by giving fans and bettors and absolute dump truck of information.

Here, Phil identifies a couple of potential win total targets that the betting market is off on. He also goes into detail on his preview process and handicaps some of his favorite upcoming Week 1 college football games.

The Lion's Edge usually publishes new episodes on Thursday, but I just couldn't wait one more day to talk about college football. I was on vacation last week, trudging around the Sandbridge sand with my girlfriend's family. And as the week went on, my CFB anxiety was hitting all-time highs.

When I got back on Saturday, I immediately called up Colby Dant from the College Football Experience -- part of the Sports Gambling Podcast Network -- for some desperately needed CFB medication.

Here's our extended conversation, with several actionable highlights, including: betting the Kansas Over win total; Will Anderson to Win the Heisman +2000; all things New Mexico State; plenty of NC State slander. (Go Pirates?) Lots of Week Zero action here, too!

That, and so much more, on this week's extra-long episode of The Lion's Edge.

Did the Rams win the Super Bowl in February, or did I just dream that?

In sports betting, we're used to reigning champs being priced at the top of the market when a new season rolls around. That's thanks in part to shaky-but-popular syllogisms like, "the champ is the champ until someone beats them."

The Rams are something of an exception. The Chiefs and Bills are both bigger favorites to win the Super Bowl. The Rams aren't even the favorite to win the NFC -- that's Tampa.

Why are the Rams viewed so skeptically, compared to other recent Super Bowl winners? As is often the case, an unpopular favorite may ultimately be a sharp one.

Later... a conversation on one of the most misused words in sports betting: value.

We all know the Deshaun Watson stuff is weird and creepy. But the Cleveland Browns are still going to suit up for 17 NFL games this season, with or without him available to play quarterback.

And here's the thing... while we've all been concentrating on the (obviously horrible) Watson news, we seem to have forgotten something that's been in front of our faces now for 2+ years -- the Browns are actually pretty good. Sure, Baker Mayfield tore his labrum in the middle of last season, but beyond that, the Browns have a top-5 offensive line, a genuinely good head coach, good skill guys, and arguably the best pass rusher in the league. They've also got a schedule that should give them six or seven easy wins, regardless of who hands the ball off to the running back.

This week on The Lion's Edge, Chase makes a compelling case for betting the cast-offs of the AFC North: Cleveland (+300) and Pittsburgh (+900). You're going to want to hear this before placing your final divisional bets.

Airhorn: taking advantage of Sean McVay's infamous preseason apathy. The pod explains why Chargers -3.5 is still a bet, even on the far side of a key number.

The AFC West is the only NFL Division where absolutely any team could finish first, and absolutely any team could finish last. The Chiefs (+155) are the obvious favorite, given their recent team history, but the Chargers (+230) and Broncos (+260) are both very live. Even the Raiders (+650!) were a playoff team in 2021.

The Broncos may have made the most dramatic offseason upgrade when they finally fixed their longstanding quarterback woes by acquiring Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson makes the Broncos instant championship contenders... assuming that Denver can stay healthy, that is.

This week, I asked Cody Roark (Mile High Sports; Locked on Broncos Podcast) to join me to discuss Wilson, Broncos odds, and all things AFC West.

Of all the NFL divisional championship prices available at BetMGM, the number for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is the one that dramatically stands out. Many favorites have modest prices, somewhere between -120 and +150; Tampa is -300.

The NFC South is not particularly competitive, with Carolina looking listless and Atlanta still rebuilding. But the Saints still look good, and there's crazy value on New Orleans at +375 -- especially considering that the Saints have owned Tampa throughout the regular season during the Brady era.

Is it worth buying Tampa at such an insane cost? How does the Julio Jones signing mesh with the current depth chart? And what on Earth happened with Tom Brady this offseason?

For all that and more, Chase invites on Tampa Bay reporter Bobby Thompson (Bucs Report) to set the record straight.

We're all the way back, baby! Quinton Mayo (BetMGM Tonight) joins the show to help Chase break down the NFC East odds market.

No team has won the NFC East in back-to-back years since the Eagles did it in 2003-04, nearly 20 years ago. The Dallas offense got noticeably worse in the offseason, while Philadelphia and Washington made major upgrades. So why should anyone bet Dallas at the top of the market? Quinton and Chase hash it out.

NFL Divisional odds at BetMGM as of this episode's publication:
