It's often the little things that create big irritations in marriage. Find out the 7 ways to ruin a relationship and 6 ways to build up a relationship. But you may be surprised at the glue that keeps it all together.
Why do horrible, lousy, miserable things happen to Christians—especially since we know that God is sovereign and at the simple command, fix everything?
It isn’t enough to honor God outwardly—God desires to be honored inwardly in our hearts. The Lord says, "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, BUT their hearts are far from me"—Isaiah 29:13
If you’re tired of living to please yourself—Maybe it’s time to start living to honor and glorify the Lord, find out the 5 steps to achieving this.
The incarnation of Jesus Christ. God became a man in order to die for the sins of mankind. His names: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Prince of Peace
Paul’s greatest passion for believers above all else was for their spiritual growth. He loved seeing believers developing into mature believers.
He was passionate in his preaching, teaching, and writing—but his concern for the spiritual growth of every believer is seen in the way “Paul Prayed” for them.
For a person to have joy, practice these things and you will soar above every circumstance.
“When I die I shall then have my greatest grief and my greatest joy—my greatest grief that I have done so little for Jesus, and my greatest joy that Jesus has done so much for me.” —William GrimshawGrimshaw pastored in England in the mid 1700s, Grimshaw could not forget the debt he owed to the grace of God.
What I want you to take away this morning, is this—When God rewards you, it will be far more generous than you could ever imagine.
Jesus promised a glorious future reward for those who faithfully follow and serve Jesus. When the Lord appears, He will pour out lavishly on believers, eternal blessings that’s vastly are way beyond what we could ever imagine.HERE'S THE PROMISE: "Things which eye has NOT seen and ear has NOT heard, and which have NOT entered the heart of man, ALL that God has prepared for those who love Him—if you love Jesus—you will follow Him—and find ways to serve Him."1 Corinthians 2:9
What Makes God Smile?—Have you ever wondered about that? —Maybe you never thought about God smiling—We’ll, God created laughter, happiness and smiling—God is always happy*.
As we continue in the series, Remember, there is coming a glorious future reward for those who faithfully follow and serve Jesus. When the Lord appears—He will pour out lavishly on believers—eternal blessings vastly beyond what we could ever imagine**—
We’re told this in 1 Cor 2:9—"Things which eye has NOT seen and* ear has NOT heard, and which have* NOT entered the* heart of man, ALL that God has* prepared for those who* love Him."**
We are in a series. We’re looking at God’s REWARDS that He’s storing up in Heaven for you. Every Christian should be laying up treasure in Heaven. The passage is Luke 19:11-27.
The parable Jesus told his followers is a wake up call. Because not only will unbelievers face a day of reckoning—every believer will also face a day of reckoning, actually a day of accountability. Once you become a believer, Jesus calls you to be His ambassador. To be a witness to the world and to make lots of heavenly investments.
God hasn’t told us everything in His Word, but be ready to be greatly surprised. What Jesus has planned for you, is far greater—than you can imagine.
Whatever you sacrifice here is nothing in comparison to the rewards the honors and privileges you will have in God’s Holy City.
Jesus said— "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, BUT lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven..." -Matthew 6:19–20Three important questions
How long will rewards last?
Will every believer receive a reward?
Is is possible to lose rewards?
A series on rewards. Did you know, when you step into Heaven you will hear applause? Believers won't stand at the Great White Throne Judgment, but they will stand at the Bema seat--do you know why?
Are you storing up "treasure in Heaven?" Jesus told us to do that, do you know why?
A series on rewards. When we step into eternity—The results of our time on earth is irreversible, God will forgive you for all your past sins, but something else is taken into consideration that will effect your eternal standing in Heaven.
That’s what I want to talk about this morning.
"At death we put the signature on our life’s portrait. The paint dries. The portrait’s done. Ready or not" -Randy Alcorn
You cross the finish line at death, then we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil—2 Cor 5:10.Did you know, God actually looks forward to rewarding you? Rewards are a sign of His pleasure and approval for the way you lived and served while on earth. You say, God will have a hard time finding reasons to reward me—Don’t count yourself short. You have more coming than you can imagine.
One day when you cross the finish line, you will find yourself standing before your Heavenly Father, while looking into His smiling face, you won’t be lectured nor will you be condemned for the way you lived or served. God will embrace you with the admiration of a loving Father. Then excitedly show you the rewards He’s kept—just for you.
God’s home is a beautiful—The fact that Jesus prepared a place for us ought to be our greatest motivator in this life.
If you have your Bibles please turn to Revelation 21— we’ll be looking at Verses 1-8—Here’s a look at your future—the title this morning is—“A New Heaven and A New Earth.”
Heaven is a real place—and you’re heading there—Jesus told His disciples— He was going to prepare a place for them—Jesus has your mansion ready and waiting for YOUR arrival—John 14:2–3.
Someone wrote these moving words—Just think of stepping on shore—And finding it Heaven—Of touching a hand—And finding it God’s—Of breathing new air—And finding it celestial—Of waking up in glory—And finding it home.
Millions of believers before us successfully ran their earthly race. They are waiting for you in Heaven.
Your name is recorded in heaven. You are a citizen of heaven. Your inheritance waits for you in heaven. Your reward waits for your arrival. Everything you value most, is waiting for your arrival in heaven, heaven is your home.
The Age of Exploration began in the early 15th century people began exploring the world crossing the seas to find new trade routes. Who doesn’t enjoy reading about the early explorers like Marco Polo and Christopher Columbus.
What was the greatest discovery ever made? Most people say the greatest discovery was fire and the wheel
In 1922 another discovery was made, a rich treasure was hidden for more than 3000 years. It was the tomb of a famous king. It was hidden in darkness and silence in The Valley of the Kings on the Nile river in Egypt— near the ancient city of Thebes.
Howard Carter a British archeologist was the first one to peer into this ancient Egyptian tomb. The resting place of a boy king, Tutankhamen, King Tut. He was buried with more than 5,000 priceless objects.
In the last 6 years of Carter searching—twice, he was only 6 feet from the stone steps leading down to the burial chamber of King Tut. How could something so valuable be hidden for SO LONG?—As great as that discovery was—it WASN’T the greatest discovery.
THE BIBLE speaks of the GREATEST discovery this earth has ever known. Jesus Said, in Matthew 13:44–46, The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden!
The most precious gift on earth is the gift of forgiveness. It doesn’t matter what sin or how many you stacked up over a lifetime, God freely offers to forgive.
What is Forgiveness—forgiveness is a “release” or a “dismissal” of something. When Jesus forgives—He releases us from our sins—AND God the Father, dismisses all charges against us. God says, in Isaiah 43:25 I am he who blots out your transgressions…and I will NOT remember your sins.
Some things in life are not fixable and there's no window or door to escape, what next?
There’s 66 books in the Bible, but there is only one Book that promises a special blessing for those who read it. God says "Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near"—Revelation 1:3. Revelation is God’s final Word to the church. I know it’s a little raw maybe upsetting—but it’s reality.
God wants you to know how everything plays out, and promises a good ending to all the bad things happening on this earth.
We’re in a series in the book of Revelation—This letter to the church is God’s final Word to us. What’s encouraging is this, once you know that God has a plan and nothing can stop it, will give you great faith, especially in light of all the evil that's exploding today, terrorism, crime, violence, school shootings, the rapid moral decline, substance abuse, immigration—etc., etc
All this has ramped up because, Satan knows his time is quickly running out, and he knows it.
The spiritual battle comes often through your thoughts. Your mind is the win or lose battlefield—if Satan continues to win over your mind and thoughts, he will derail your faith.
THIS MORNING—I’ll show you an exciting passage—God ultimately triumphs over Satan’s deceptive rule, God check-mated Satan, when His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed himself on the cross—as the humbleLamb of God.
Our purpose for learning about Bible prophecy can be interesting, exciting, as well as scary. God is the one who has given glimpses into the end of the age, Why, to encourage believers who are in the tribulation. As we see the world spin deeper into sin and chaos—God has shown us His cards, He’s giving us a peek to assure us that He has the winning hand.
God told us, that one day you will be going about your routine, when instantly and without warning, you will be transformed, for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed—1 Cor 15:51–52. Suddenly, one moment in Heaven, your eyes will see your Messiah—and you will know, you’re NOT just another face in the crowd, because when His beautiful eyes find yours, you will know, how deeply Jesus loves YOU.
After the church is raptured, it will be the first time in history that there will not be a believer on the earth. God will give the world what they asked for, a powerful Antichrist leader who will unify the world under his rule. He will be a counterfeit who appears at first to be everything people thought they wanted. He will bring peace and prosperity on earth for 3½ years. But in the middle of the tribulation, the Antichrist will turn out to be far more than the world bargained for, he will be a dictator more cruel and powerful than any other leader the world has ever known.
As you know, the Bible speaks of God, as being our fortress, our place of Refuge. Psalm 46:1 reminds us, God is a very present help in trouble. But what most don’t understand is this: You have to be in the area that God designated, in order to be under, His protection.
Psalm 91:1–2 "He who dwells in the shelter (a hiding place) of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." God has a place where you can go to find shelter, safety, nourishment and peace of mind. There is no situation we will ever face that is out of God’s control. Proverbs 18:10 says, "The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe."
When believers walk away from under God’s protection—they go unprotected that’s when life gets complicated, difficult and confusing. Do you know how to find and travel the road to refuge? Listen in.
Before you gave your life to Jesus, Satan used everything in his arsenal to keep you from from Him. Now that you’re a Christian, Satan knows you are eternally God’s. You have God’s DNA, and Satan can’t take you to where he’s going, but will try to cripple your walk, make you ineffective, Joyless.
Revelation 11— in the passage this morning, Heaven is aglow with excitement, Jesus will exercise His right to take back the this planet and establish His Kingdom on earth— But before that happens—the church will be raptured. Revelation 3:10 I will keep YOU FROM the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.
But before Jesus takes His church home, Scripture tells us that the tide of apostasy will crown, There will be a great apostasy, a great falling away from God—we are now in those days.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction. The world will rebel and fall away from God, that’s what apostasy is— rebellion, the abandonment of truth
Jesus said, the last days— there will be a world-wide rejection of God. Weak, faithless Christians will turn away from God, the Bible, and their faith
Today only a small percentage of churches teach prophecy. Prophecy is a major part of God’s message to our generation. In the New Testament, Jesus reprimanded the Pharisees and Sadducees, because they were ignorant of prophecy. Matthew 16:2–3 Jesus told the religious leaders, “…You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times”
You are VERY important to God, He purchased you with His blood. You are His. You are God’s property and God created you and set you in this time in history at the close of the "church age" to be His witness. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." -Ephesians 2:10
What you do with your life, counts for all eternity, and we will be accountable.
"For we must ALL appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil." -2 Corinthians 5:10.
"For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil." -Ecclesiastes 12:14
What's so important about the Temple Mount in Jerusalem? Is it God's plan to be a nation that accepts globalism, or is it Satans plan?
How close is Israel to building the 3rd Temple? What does God think about it?
That OT believer Job, in the midst of massive trials, said, "The tents of robbers are at peace, and those who provoke God are secure.…Why do the wicked live, reach old age, and grow mighty in power?"
The psalmists frequently asked God, why do you tolerate godless men?
Those who will be killed during the tribulation will also cry out, to God, with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, HOW LONG before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" -Rev 6:10
There WILL come a day, when, GOD WILL BREAK HIS SILENCE, and that day is very soon.
When we come to Revelation 9— unbelievers will be caught in the crossfire during the tribulation— they will experience the wrath of God from heaven, and the wrath of man on earth— and the wrath of Satan from under the earth— why? Why is God allowing this? He’s waking up the lost— God is giving them an opportunity— to repent of their sins— just like He did in Noah’s day.
Life on earth is brutally unfair, you can live a Christian life, serve God, give sacrificially, be mis-understood, deeply hurt, even jailed because of your walk of faith, but the Holy Spirit continues to speak clearly, reminding you, to forgive, to let go of the rope of un-forgiveness and God will reward you in Heaven— Galatians 6:9 let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. But one thing haunts us— WHEN WILL THEY GET THEIRS? — When will God serve them justice?
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
Christians have shed many tears throughout the ages— especially in times of persecution— and tragedy.
Finally, in the new earth, all tears will be wiped away by God Himself and the former things will not be remembered, nor come into mind —Isaiah 65:17–19
You will be in the joy of Christ’s presence forever— Psalm 16:11 in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel.
The title today is, "The Unwillingness to Change" after the church is raptured, after the church is taken to Heaven millions will be left behind on earth. Those left behind are those who refused to change, they ignored the gospel, they refused the offer of Jesus to forgive them.
The stark realism will shatter their reality, life as they knew it will come tragically to a halt— they have just entered the 7-year tribulation.
Who are the riders and what are they bringing to the earth, and when. Where do they come from. How do we know for sure the church will NOT go through the rapture?
Revelation chapter 6—Keep this in mind, you can only push God so far until you reach the end of His patience. A person or a nation can exhaust God’s grace and mercy. God has set a limit on how much He will tolerate.
Theologians have said, the only thing man-made that makes it into heaven are the scars of death, on the Messiah, Jesus will bear the marks of His crucifixion forever.
The Lord's scars will be a constant reminder each time you look at Him, you will see those scars and know Jesus sacrificed His flawless perfection, forever, in order for you to be saved.
The focus in Chapter 5 is “The Title Deed”to the earth. When God made the earth, the Garden of Eden and everything in it, God said it was good, it was perfect—Then God gave Adam dominion over the earth.
In essence God gave Adam— THE TITLE DEED to the earth, He gave him the responsibility to oversee this planet, and Satan quickly stripped it from him—through trickery and deception.
When Jesus died and rose again. He defeated sin—He defeated death—He defeated Satan and his demons.
Colossians 2:15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them.
Then It says in 1 Peter 3:19 he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison (Hell) Jesus wins back the Title Deed.
Thinking back in time, probably the most tragic theme in all of redemptive history is the sad story of wayward Israel.HOW does a person know if they are wayward, drifting from God?
Whatever takes our heart away from God, God calls it an idol, whatever robs your commitment to God, is an idol—And it grieves Him.
Do you know what God looks like? John is taken up in a vision to a door that's open. What John sees is the most awesome picture you will ever see.
Revelation 3:12–13 "The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name."
What does it mean, God will make you like a pillar? In Ancient cities great leaders were honored by erecting pillars with their names inscribed on them.
God’s pillars, are those who remain faithful through life, to the end. You will be known in Heaven as a symbol of stability, and strength.
You will be honored, forever. You will wear 3 Names. On your apparel will be emblazoned three marks of glorious identification.
The rewards Jesus will pass out for the faithful—are beyond measure.
"What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"—1 Corinthians 2:9
One day, in a moment when you slip out of this life, you will feel—your hand in the hand of Jesus—
He will lead you past God’s holy angels, up the golden streets of glory, past the cherubim and seraphim—up to the throne of God Himself—
And you will hear the Lord Jesus CALL YOU, by YOUR NAME, and present you to His Father, you will see the face of God—And feel the warmth of His smile.
What a reward for faithfulness—You will have a robe of reward draped around your shoulders and you will be invited to walk in the presence of Almighty God, forever—
Jesus loves you way more than you could possibly imagine. One day you will meet Jesus face to face and understand how deep and how wide His love for you, really is.
If you are holding on to some sin in your life you are forfeiting a stable, happy fulfilling life and missing the greatest blessing of all. Find out what it is. Listen to the message.
Satan tried to destroy the early church through persecution, that didn’t work, so he changed his strategy—If he can’t destroy the church from the OUTSIDE, through persecution, He would destroy the church from the INSIDE. Find out what Satan did and if it worked.
2,000 years ago, Jesus’ disciples were being persecuted, they grew weary in the battle against evil. So they asked Jesus, When are You coming back?
In Matthew 24 Jesus said just before He comes to get His church, Christians would be persecuted. Jesus said, the ungodly will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. I’m sure that wasn’t what the disciples wanted to hear.
It’s pretty obvious today that the ungodly are becoming more and more hostile and violent towards Christians. Ever wonder if Christians here in America will face physical persecution? It seems remote that we will be killed for our faith, but it’s happening in China and the Middle East, and it seems to be creeping towards us.
Revelation is fascinating—It gives a portrait of God’s future prophetic events. While Genesis is the book of beginnings, Revelation is the book of completion. Revelation gives us a chronology of the End Times.
Ephesus was most famous as the center of the worship for the goddess Artemis, the Romans called her Diana. Artemis was the center attraction and pride of the city—
The spectacular temple to Artemis was considered, one of The Seven Wonders of the ancient World in Roman times.
When Paul preached the gospel in Ephesus, he led hundreds of Gentiles to Christ. They left their old ways, and quit worshipping idols. Artemis was replaced with the one true God and Messiah—Jesus Christ.
Ephesus lost the love for Jesus 40 years later. At the end of the message, find 4 ways to move your heart from a cold distance from God to a hot wonderful relationship, where your dreams finally come true.
Some people enjoy hearing about God’s love, grace and mercy. They love the image of Jesus—when He’s surrounded by children—holding a lamb around His neck. The image we’ll see this morning in Revelation 1:9-20 is shocking, even scary. This image will even make some Christians uncomfortable, because It reveals Jesus, the judge.

Trading the good life, for the better life! The night before Jesus Christ was crucified, He made a strange statement to His disciples. In John 14:19 Jesus said, "In just a little while the world will no longer see me, but you're going to see me because I am alive and YOU'RE ABOUT TO COME ALIVE" Easter is all about coming alive!! Are you plugged in to the power source?
God isn’t looking for perfect people, He’s looking for dependable followers. He looking for men and women who are consistent when it comes to dependability. Believers who REALLY believe, not just say they do, believers who value God by making God their highest priority in life.
How enthusiastic is your walk with Jesus Christ? Remember when God changed your old me to the NEW me? Many believers slide back to the old me, and the joy of their salvation has long since, vanished.
There are times when you feel distant from God, when God is silent for a really long time, our Old Testament friend David felt that way—In fact he wrote about it, while being pursued by King Saul in the desolate wilderness of Judah.
Psalm 13:1–2 David prayed, How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me…How long shall my enemy be exalted over me—It seemed God had forgotten all about David—In that desolate wilderness—Fact is—God didn’t forget David, and God hasn’t forgot you, either.

Andrew was content, serving and supporting the ministry of others. I thank God for the Andrews at Crosspointe. These servants are the bedrock, of this ministry.
Interestingly enough, it was quiet Andrew—Who led raucous Peter—to Jesus.
When it comes to the disciples, one wonders—Why God chose these guys. We know God didn’t chose them because they were extraordinary guys or had lots of talent or because they were naturally gifted.

A great day is coming, a day when Israel will finally recognize that Jesus is the Messiah, the very one—they nailed to the cross. The one that offered Himself a sacrifice for the sins of everyone who would receive Him. One day soon, Israel will recognize Jesus as their Messiah and Savior.
Since the beginning—Satan has manipulated and deceived man, causing people to question God, to turn away. Satan’s most deadly weapon is “Deception”—Jesus warned His disciples in John 8:44—“…the devil..was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is NO truth in him…for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Satan has mislead and deceived millions—and brought sadness and ruination—
But thank God, Jesus offered us a way out and invited us to come with Him to His Kingdom.
The Lord Jesus Christ saw in the flawed life of Levi (Matthew the tax collector) someone He could make into someone beautiful, and become—A trophy of God’s GRACE
Jesus chose YOU--and intends to finish what He started—He’s making you into a masterpiece—A TROPHY OF HIS GRACE.
There are people in this world whose lives are so messed up so damaged so beyond hope, there doesn’t seen to be anyway out.

We would be on our knees at the crack of dawn. Prayer is our greatest privilege, but also our greatest failure.

The purpose of Galations is to make a clear distinction between the gospel of Jesus Christ and false gospels. Galatians attacks two false ideas, in particular, legalism and lawlessness. It dismantles the lies of these ideas and paints a true picture of salvation by grace through faith alone.
Life’s most critical question is— “Who is Jesus Christ?” —How a person answers that question—will determine their eternal destiny.
God the Holy Spirit says in John 1:1“the Word was God” —As far back as man can think— in the beginning … the Word was existing—in Vs.14 it says “the Word became flesh” —Jesus wrapped Himself in flesh—to provide a way of escape from sins death grip—leading to judgment and eternal death.
God has a predetermined plan for your life. God created you to live with direction, purpose and fulfillment.
What a week—Catastrophic hurricanes— earthquakes / floods / massive wildfires / terrorism / nuclear threats from that N Korean maniac, Kim Jong Un — What in the world is going on?
We're watching massive rescue crews dealing with natural disasters in our country. God though Jesus Christ headed up the greatest rescue in the world.
Jesus crushes Satan's elaborate scheme. Why did the Holy Spirit compel Jesus to go into the wilderness of Judea? The temptation Satan threw in Jesus' direction was the most forceful alluring he could offer within his power. This was a high-stake challenge. What if Jesus failed?
The Jews and Gentiles listened to John— Because his life made his message believable.
The question is, IS MY LIFE BELIEVABLE— When unbelievers observe my life, do they see someone sold out for Jesus Christ? Does my wife or my husband or my children see— A BELIEVER who walks the talk... or do they see a wishy-washy weak follower of Jesus who puts God on the back burner who isn’t interested in knowing the truth— nor following it. If you’re NOT serious about your faith in God— It’s time to get down on your knees and repent of the sin that’s hindering you—and your prayers.
