“I am here to share my beliefs and life experiences with God to empower young men and encourage them through times of trial and tribulation so that they too may be a light in the world. The goal is to dissect scripture and simplify the written word to provide real life applications of its teachings. The Bible is an instructional manual for life and these are the lessons I wish I had known as I grew and continue to grow into the man God has called me to be. Walking with Christ is a journey and applying these teaching to each and every day will surely help you grow closer to Him and shed light on how you can fulfill his purpose for you on this Earth. I hope you find them insightful and impactful in your life as you implement them. A few weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to have my youth pastor CJ on with me to talk about the Bible. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and I know I did so in this episode we brought CJ back! This week we talked about what motivated CJ in his ministry and what advice he would give to fellow believers, I hope you enjoy it!
What's up everybody?! In this lesson on Fear The Father I talk aboutnthe importance of self control. In today's fast paced and ever changing world we as Chirsitians are faced with countless forms of temptation and given just as many opportunities to sin. That is why it is so important to exercise self control and act in a way that glorifies God even if it goes against our fleshly deisres. Giving up temporary pleaseure for long term gain and investment in the Kingdom of God is what we are called to do as Christians. Hopefully this helps guide you in choosing to do what is right over choosing to do what feels right. As always thanks for tuning in everyone!!
In this episode, I talk about what it means to not be a lukewarm Christian. God calls us to be all in when it comes to our faith. I know when I went to college there were things about my faith that I loved and held dear to my heart and other things I thought I could get away with and not listen to in the Bible. Hopefully, after hearing this I can convince you that you must fully commit to a life with Christ and that all sin is still sin regardless of how society views it. Let's aim to live a life that glorifies God in all our actions and choices and not just the things that we feel like we should be doing based on society's standards.
Hey y’all in this weeks episode I talk about how to handle times of crisis. With all that has been going on in the world recently it’s easy to be feeling sad, depressed, anxious, afraid, or any of many other negative emotions that God doesn’t want us to experience. The Bible tells us to find peace and joy in times like this by leaning into God and allowing Him to give us strength. We are living in a unique and excellent time to witness to others about the glory of God and what his presence can do for your life. Tune in to see what his word has to say about how we should respond to living in a time of crisis.
The definition of Synergy is: the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects. Sounds pretty great right? In this episode I talk about how we can achieve synergy through a relationship with God and with other believers in Christ as we go about our lives in this world. This is just one of the many positive side affects of being a believer in God. I hope y'all enjoy this weeks teaching!
Verses I Mention In This Episode
Deuteronomy 32:30 - “One chases a thousand but 2 chases 10,000 thousand”
1 corinthians 9:17 - “If I preach voluntarily, i have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me”
1 john 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship synergy with another”
Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name there am I with them”
James 3:16 "For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice."
Romans 16:17-18 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.
Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men”
On this episode of Fear the Father I talk about how we should go about choosing our group of friends. The transition from high school into the next phase of your life often leads to many changes in who you spend time with as peoples paths separate. Luckily for us the Bible gives some good criteria on how we should choose our friends and what characteristics we should look for in people. I hope you enjoy this episode hopefully it helps shed some light on the relationships in your life!
One of the major reasons I turned to God and began to cry out to Him for help and answers in life was due to my anxiety. I feel like anxiety can often be attributed to not fulfilling the purpose God has put you on Earth to fulfill. Anxiety is an epidemic that is plaguing todays society. The Anxiety and Depression Association of America estimates that 40 million adults or 18% of our population are affected by anxiety every year. Remember you're not in this fight alone, not only do you have your support system here on Earth but you also have a God who has given us the Bible as an instruction manual to overcome all things in life. In this episode I unlock some keys to conquering your anxiety through the power of God.
