Talanoa mei he lalo Niu 🥥🌴
🥥🌴This is for our people in Tonga and abroad who are wanting to hear what’s going on in the Kingdom with 3 of the local Tongan Social Influencers.
🥥🌴 We will discuss these topics and issues that affect Tongans and other cultures in the time of understanding each other and themselves.
🥥🌴 Here at the Lalo Niu we talk about the situation that happened with Asuelu during "90 Day Fiance"
We talk about how it works in a Tongan context and if this is true or false in our Island Kingdom.
Lala brings out a point about remittances making our people lazier that then makes people rely on overseas support.
At the end we have our vote on if we believe that remittances should be stopped and people should work more in Tonga.
🥥🌴Why have our people become so attached to social media. According to Digicel majority of their usage comes from Facebook alone.
🥥🌴 Sia talks about how she started Ordinary Tongan Lives while the guys speak about the reason they all started their social media handles. The team realise they started their handles because they wanted to drown out the negativity that was constantly being uploaded from Tonga.
We then encourage the new pages that are starting and pushing for more positivity to come out of the Kingdom.
On this Episode we go through the comments on our FB page and begin talking about their reactions to Episode 2.
We met with Francis during the week where she brought to our attention of where this thinking that looking white is beautiful.
The team goes through and breaks down their experience of how this has affected them and also a message to young people about how they see themselves is important during these times.

Here on Episode 2 we dissect a little bit of Episode 1 and start to learn a little bit about our thoughts and how we are towards Mental Health. Lala then opens up about his past experiences and dark times in his life.
