As a Believer, your identity is tied to Christ and His teachings...NOT to what the world has to offer you.
God expects His children to BE PRESENT and ACTIVELY take part in the glorification of His Kingdom through righteous living and selfless service....so why do so many Believers think that they can just show up to church, or pray once in awhile, and that somehow JUSTIFIES their faith?Come fellowship with us and hear how God does NOT favor or support whenever His children seek to earn "Participation Trophies"!
Believers need to stay on the path that God orders for them and not deviate off it by unnecessarily taking an "off ramp"!
Believers must not allow negative thoughts to dominate their minds without asserting control OVER those thoughts. When we don't take back control of our thought lives, we allow negativity to live "rent free" in our minds!
War wages within each of us....an internal tug-of--war for our souls. How do we win this battle? And how do we endure until the victory is won?

James 1:2-4 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness....
God hears your prayers and wants to honor them, AND He wants to heal your broken-heartedness...but ONLY if you submit yourself before Him and seek His face in humility!
We live in a time where "feel good" preaching is being used as a tool to herd in the masses....because people love to hear that God is going to do something good for them if they just show up on Sundays. But how are you gonna act when you're NOT getting everything you ask of Him? Will you STILL make Him ruler over all?
We often receive "grace periods" from creditors, but eventually your account comes due and owing. The same is true of God's kingdom...one day soon, His grace period will run out and humanity will be judged accordingly. Is YOUR account in good standing?
As Believers, we should never tie our happiness to what our CIRCUMSTANCES look like, because we're always going to find things to be unhappy about. Instead, tie your happiness SOLELY to your faith in Christ!
As Believers, trusting God in all our circumstances - whether good or bad - leaves us with no excuses for having doubts, fears or trepidations about anything we may face in our lives!
Even though we may grow in holiness as we walk with Christ throughout our lives, John 1:8 tells us that "if we claim to have no sin, we have deceived ourselves and the truth is not in us". This is why confession (or admission of sin) is so paramount to the followers of Christ!
The world may try to harden our hearts towards our fellow men and women, but as followers of Christ we should let the Word of God dictate how we deal with others, and that's with kindness and loving compassion. Won't YOU try a little tenderness towards those you encounter this week?
