ROB HARTNETT shares how to lead an epic life and unleash the high-performance hero within you.

  • Possibility Thinking can literally change everything. It is a way of thinking consistently "how might we, rather than why can't we".
  • As a leader and let's face it we all lead, be it a team, a business, an organisation, a family and most importantly ourselves, your success as a leader in your ability to influence and inspire people to greatness.
  • The job of a leader is to create more leaders and Possibility Thinking allows you to get there faster.

‘My life is a testament to believing that if you want

something, you can make it happen. I think what

you just have to tell people is, it’s all possible.’

Stevie Nicks

  • How your quiet nature is your hidden leadership strength

In the uncertain, changing, globally interconnected world, the ‘alpha’ or ‘hero’ leadership style is becoming outdated and inadequate. Quieter professionals have immense value to contribute to organisations, yet many are often overlooked or taken advantage of. Leadership specialist MEGUMI MIKI shares her own experience and those of many other quiet professionals who have achieved great success in the business environment.

  • The digital economy is both a threat and an opportunity for many businesses, particularly mature service organisations. Customers’ digital service expectations are being shaped by the likes of Uber, Amazon, Airbnb and Spotify, yet many local organisations are failing to adapt to a digital future. But with the success rate of digital transformation as low as 5%, what really makes or breaks their success?

Transformation specialist NIGEL ADAMS draws upon decades of real-world experience to provide a practical guide to effective digital transformation. He believes success lies in not just building the capability of the teams doing the transformation but also bringing those responsible for day-to-day delivery into the transformational tent.

If you are interested in discovering your superpower and unleash the heroes in your team and your business, this is worth an eavesdrop.

Doing our best is something many of us have focused on for most of our working lives. Our language and culture are so often targeted towards achievement, success and getting things done, that striving for perfect is what many people go for. Isn’t that how you try to do things? Perfectly? It turns out, no. Science and physics have something to say about this. The Law of Diminishing Returns and the Pareto Effect (80/20 principle) state that at some point, our efforts don’t return on the value of the time (and sweat) we've put in. It becomes less productive to keep working on something, to continue tinkering and fiddling with it, trying to make it perfect.

Jacki chats to Lynne Cazaly author of ISH, Shelley Flett author of The Dynamic Leader, Michael Licenblat on Resilience and Bouncing Back, and awe inspiring Yu Dan Shi author or Come Alive - living a life with more meaning and joy.
