Their are many different places in the Bible where we see how even the disciples that were surrounded in Jesus's presents acted of of emotion, and not being lead by the spirit. A good example would be the life of Jonah and how he acted of the Emotions of his physical being instead of trusting in what God asked of him to do, and we see through that example relying only on emotion leads only to failure.

First Option: You go back and retrieve the item, but that means wasted Gas, and lost time to get to the destination because of backtracking! Or there is the... Second Option: You can keep moving forward, get to your destination but eventually have to purchase that item creating another unnecessary expenses to your trip. Both options have somewhat a negative result.
