Mark started as a civilian intelligence officer in the BTP in London and then joined NCIS as an Intelligence officer in 2004, covering the Northern Europe Desk.

The organisation transitioned into SOCA in 2005 where he got his cross powers (police/immigration/customs).

He worked on an operational drugs team doing short and long-term operations against level 2 and 3 OCGs operating in and around the capital.

He then transitioned to the NCA and he moved from London to Bristol. It was here that he took the opportunity for voluntary redundancy (against the recommendations of most of the senior officers there!) "you've got a secure career... why would you want to throw it away!?"

Marks business was showing glimmers of possibility whilst he was still at the NCA and he was unbelievably bored with the 'sleepy' work compared to my last team.

So he retrained as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist.

He worked mainly with people looking to overcome anxiety and depression but was getting more passionate about how we can maximise our brains to perform consistently at our best levels.

Through this, he started working with a couple of players at the semi-pro level and his methods were not just uniques, they were also very successful.

Through word of mouth, Mark has continued to move up the footballing pyramid. Developing and refining my approach and becoming known in the game for the work that he does.

His 121 work is now exclusively with Premier League and Championship players.

Mark is now regularly featured in the media. He has been on Talk Sport, featured in the Sun, Mirror, Sky Sports.

Oh and Mark is the best selling author of "Use Your Brain, Raise Your Game"

In this episode, I am joined by Shifts to Success, client and friend, Victoria McDonald.

Victoria McDonald has been in the Police for over 12 years as a PC.

She has had no previous business experience but knew she wanted to seek new opportunities – not so much to leave the police but to give herself a choice if further pension changes were to be made.

Victoria decided to attend a Success QuickStart Day and wanted to see if she could bring her business idea about interior design to life.

Victoria joined Shifts to Success Cohort 3 and her results have been pretty amazing!

She is now the founder of Quirk & Colour, an interior design company.

We asked Victoria what kind of impact joining Shifts to Success has made on her life. She explains:

“This whole process has given me more confidence in myself and really made me think about what I want from life- and given me the push I really needed to ignore the naysayers and go after what I want”.

“My mindset has changed in all areas of my life. I began the process as a depressed Police Officer, I’ve now graduated as the owner and founder of an Interior Design business and have been able to come off my depression medication just 8 months in! This is monumental and the knock-on, ripple effect has been immense. And I know that I will maintain and carry this through now into wherever I go from here”.

“Before joining Shifts to Success I knew what I wanted to do, but it always just seemed destined to be a pipe dream. It seemed too much of a mountain to scale, and I just didn’t know where to start. From the moment I joined the Cohort, I made a promise to myself that I was going to follow the process and that’s how I have achieved what I have. I now make or find the time to read more- and in fact, have read around 20 books since joining! This expands my knowledge and solidifies my mindset. I’ve learned to trust and go with my gut, ignore negativity and put myself first. For the first time in several years, I’m really excited & looking forward to the future.”

In this episode, I am joined by best selling author, multiple award-winning brand consultant and design expert, Sapna Pieroux.

Sapna is also the founder of brand consultancy InnerVisions ID.

Sapna Pieroux’s 25-year career has spanned design, marketing, advertising and media sales. She has worked with big brands like Rimmel, Mercedes and Sony Ericsson at design agencies and large media owners such as Chrysalis, emap and the Telegraph Media Group.

Sapna studied Graphic Design at the University of Northumbria but realised that an arts degree, hadn’t prepared her for the world of business, so she then did a post-graduate diploma in Marketing.

Over the years Sapna has worked both as a designer and also been the client commissioning design. She experienced the frustrations from both sides and realised the problems came from a fundamental lack of understanding between clients and creatives.

Using her big brand experience, Sapna started her own agency four years ago, working with ambitious, global entrepreneurs who want to make a difference. Her company helps them look great and communicate their vision and message more clearly. She developed the VISION process as a collaborative one that brings increased clarity of communication, resulting in no second-guessing or mind-reading for the designer and complete brand clarity, stand-out and supercharged business growth for the business owner.

Published in three best-selling Amazon titles and The Huffington Post, Sapna is also a Brand Mentor for a national programme called Shifts to Success helping ex and serving police officers and members of the NHS transition into a life of entrepreneurship. In this episode I am joined by Shifts to Success, client and friend Kellie Wynn.

Kellie is also now known as the Beagle Lady. Her business specialises in training and transforming Beagle dogs.

Kellie did work for Hertfordshire Police between 2001 and 2019. At the time she was a Detective Sergeant having worked on units such as Domestic Abuse, and Child Exploitation. During her period in the police, in 2016, she was diagnosed with cumulative PTSD.

Kellie knew she needed to leave the police for the sake of her mental health but she also knew she wouldn’t leave unless she was self-employed.

So that is exactly what she did and her business has gone from strength to strength... She is now loving life!

In this episode, I am joined by a close friend, Jason Graystone.

Since starting his first business at 22 years old, Investor and currency trader Jason Graystone has successfully built and run multi-million-pound businesses both in the service sector and online.

Jason believes that if you have the right balanced mindset, and adopt the right personality traits, you can use simple formulas to achieve anything you want in life; and it’s this attitude that allowed him to achieve complete financial independence by the time he was 30 by strategically replacing his active workforce income.

Since then, Jason helps to empower others around money and wealth creation.

Jason believes that everyone deserves to live an inspired life. “When we are free and able to focus on meaningful work, we become better human beings. All we want in life is time primarily, and then the ability to focus on our highest values for fulfilment and reward.”
