In our last few episodes, Timpoochee and his peace troop & trading party - found themselves captured by the Spanish along the shores of the northern Gulf of Mexico. They were taken first to the Spanish commander, General Galvez, and then transported by British diplomatic envoy, Colonel Dickson, to British Fort George where they met the British high military commander and British governor who recognized Timpoochee by his English name, Sam Story. He and his men were handed over for what was called, "safe keeping," to trader William Panton, with whom Timpoochee had dealings in the past.

In our episode, Timpoochee's friend Panton took him and his crew into Pensacola to treat them to what Panton called, the pleasures of Yonega.

In this episode they find themselves in a crowded, noisy British tavern as the battle for possession of Pensacola takes place outside. The environment inside the tavern is unlike any they'd ever seen before and populated by men and women as foreign to them as anyone could be. It turns out to be an explosive encounter in more than one way...

This is Episode 1 of the podcast’s Season 3 and includes from the novel Acts 149, 150 & 151.

In the final episodes of Season 2 Timpoochee and his peace troop & trading party was taken captive by soldiers from the Spanish Armada laying siege to the trading center of Pensacola. Surrendered by treaty to the British, the Spanish are once again trying to capture the settlement and regain dominance along the northern Gulf of Mexico coast.

Once captured, Timpoochee and his men were taking to the Spanish command ship, the Galveztown, commanded by General Galvez himself.

But the Spanish general, having no use for Timpoochee's crew, turned them over to British envoy Colonel Dickson, who happened to be present and recognized Timpoochee from his dealings with the British trader, William Panton.

In this episode Colonel Dickson takes Timpoochee and his crew to the besieged British fort to meet its governor and William Panton.

In our last episode, Timpoochee and Rising Fawn began their mission of peace, an attempt to counter among the Real People what Timpoochee believed would be a disastrous mission of war promoted by the fabled Shawnee leader Tecumthe.

But as they ventured down the larger river, what Timpoochee's people called The Long Man, they were shocked and saddened to find villages burned and ravaged by war already. The tragedies stiffened Timpoochee resolve. Leaving Rising Fawn to care for the sick and dying and to begin the recovery mission he set off to find Yonega leaders.

Having encountered on the journey strangers who seemed familiar Timpoochee was led inexplicably to a high precipice over which he looked to see somehow a vision - real or imagined he could not be sure - and in this vision watched in horror as Moonlake, Cornstalk & the other rebels from his town, the warriors who chose to follow Tecumthe into war with Yonega, were slaughtered by marauding Creek fighters.

The vision - or whatever it was - left Timpoochee shaken and shouting to the night sky, "why...oh why?"

He finally fell asleep under the stars.

He encountered two strangers, although he felt as if he knew both. One of the familiar strangers took him to a precipice overlooking a deep valley where, to his astonishment, he seemed able to view Tecumthe and his own rebel warriors from a distance which seemed at the same time to be close.

This is Episode 11 of the podcast’s Season 2 and includes from the novel Acts 116, 117 & 118.

In our last episode, the visiting Shawnee leader, Tecumthe, persuaded some of Timpoochee’s younger warriors to follow him to war against Yonega, the white people. This tore a hole in Timpoochee’s heart but he did not stop the rebellious younger men. He also immediately took his  remaining town folk to water to cleanse them of what he believed was the darkness Tecumthe brought to his community. Upon returning from the river, the water cleansing ceremony, Timpoochee began to hear voices calling to him. When he realized his townspeople could not also hear the voices he recognized them as the Nunnehi, the immortals, calling out only to him.

“Come with us, fast with us and we will show you peace,” they called.

Without explanation to Rising Fawn, Timpoochee gathered a traveling sack and started out to meet the Nunnehi.

In our last few episodes, Timpoochee escaped near death when he was almost captured by Yonega sailors as he foolishly ventured aboard the white man’s ship as it was docked at the settlement where he’d followed his father, Yufala, to meet with the Yonega leaders.

The skirmish disrupted the council and brought Yufala and the Yonega leaders to the river’s edge where Yufala was embarrassed and scolded his sons, especially Cornstalk, for their foolishness.

Timpoochee spent the rest of the evening listening as his father talked to the Yonega leaders, explaining his skepticism about their presence in Shaconage, their intentions and especially this doubt over the sincerity of their trade offers.

In our last episode, Timpoochee was still trying to recover on the river bank from a harrowing misadventure on the Yonega ship docked at the Yonega settlement where he’d followed his father, Yufala, to meet with the white people. The fat sailor who dived overboard to catch him disappeared in the water.

At the same time, in the Yonega settlement’s council house Yufala and his delegation - unaware of Timpoochee’s misadventure - are talking and trying to understand what the Yoneage want. Serving as interpreter is a young Tsalagi man, Attakullakulla, who Yufala only knows by reputation but has clearly been educated by the visitors.

The council was interrupted by a gun shot coming from the river and the council immediately rushed to shore.

As the reached the shore, the British Capt. Wills’ boot brushed what appear to him to be a severed arm floating at the edge of the river landing.
