Seattle has a vibrant community full of very creative people. Artists of all sorts are our guests and we have fun with them.
We’ve been on hiatus. We’re not happy it happened, but it did. So here’s a little update and an interview with Dan Teisan of Late September Dogs that happened all the way back in episode 11.
After some holidays and adventures in internet loss, AJ is back on the After Party. There is fun to be had, matches to be made and facts to be delineated from fiction.

For our one hundred eleventh episode we had on local author and improviser G.G. Silverman as our guest. Her husband was one of the contestants for the Seattle Match Game so it became the Newlywed Match Game. We had fun, as always, with some of the tangents we went on during that.
Afterward we discussed which characters are most like her. Whether or not any of her zombie kills represent vengeance fantasies on her part. Also, how much does improv help with the writing process.
A.J. is back with some stories to tell. He may have found a possible guest, or at least a friend with a little celebrity. Along with his stories we discuss upcoming events in Seattle, especially our next live recording July 26th at the Pocket Theater where our guest is G.G. Silverman.

Recording on his birthday, AJ came to the show with a bunch of ideas. In an effort to make the House Party a viable format we're trying out a couple new sections here. For the After Party's first live recording at the Pocket Theater, Daryl was visited by 3 entities. The ghost of solstice past, present and future. Danual Allen represented the past. Sameer Arshad represented the present. And new to the team, A.J. Muñoz represented the future. Take a listen on our journey to scare Daryl into doing the right thing with the podcast. Actually, I think we scared Danual. Yeah, we definitely broke him while trying to break A.J. in.
They call their music Light Wave Psychotica. If that doesn't give you an idea, picture easy listening for demons. The band is Ben Von Wildenhaus, a musical collective centered around Ben Wildenhaus. A high school friend of Daryl's who never stopped playing music. We talked outside of Darrell's Tavern in Shoreline. It's a little noisy, or maybe that's ambience. Take a listen and you decide.
Here's part 2 of our show dedicated to Crewmates at the Annex Theater. This is the meaty part. We get a no holds barred interview with the director, the writer and 2 cast members. They pull no punches but we also have a lot of laughs.

During episode 102, Josh and Jesse of Trust Improv did an example of their show. Daryl played along. Together they created the fake podcast, Pico De Guy Oh - Mexican Food for Men.
Improvisers are great to have on the After Party because it's fun to play along with them. That we did on this episode with Josh Lindgren and Jesse Rogers. During our conversation we actually took a suggestion from our audience and did a few minutes in the same way they do their podcast, which is called Trust Improv.
It's time to get wet and wild with 3 members of the Seattle Mermaid community. We find out what mermaiding is, how each of them got involved and also what other creative activities they all do.
For our 100th episode Kelly Hannah returned and brought her podcast co-host Brent Flyberg with her. Jay Smith has been on the After Party before but was there with Late September Dogs. This time he talked with us about his band and his songs that come in the form of the band Double Cross Committee. We went on some great tangents during the match game. He had quite a bit to say about many topics.
Our guests for the evening were Carl Randers, Nick Radford and Ethan HD. We talked about many things including Ethan being a trainer at Great Khali's school in India for 6 months. What it was like to work as extra talent for the WWE. And much more.
Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Washington Foster School of Business, host of the Seattle Growth Podcast, and the creator of Good For A Change.org, Jeffrey Shulman joined us to talk about his podcast and how great Seattle is.
Denny, Haley, and Sky from the improv group East Side Story joined us for good times, match game, and a bit of tomfoolery.
Number 95 on our Race to 100 episodes was a show after CSz Seattle practice. We put a mic in the middle of the table and let it record. We did our best to make all the conversations audible. If you are wearing headphones you should be able to understand all the conversations. Let us know if you'd like Red Star Taco bar episodes in the future, especially if we improve the audio. Daryl has some ideas on how to achieve that.
The Fabricated Technobabble universe currently has 2 podcasts and this was a crossover between the Seattle After Party and The Spoilers : Wayne & Daryl. Technically, this is an episode of the After Party, but you'll have to go to The Spoilers site to get the one with curse words.
Improviser Cory Guebels, the producer of Drunk High Comedy shows such as Dubious Advice, joined us right after the latest of his shows. Also, back on the podcast was Ponch Hartley. Daryl hosted, but he was one of the drunk panelists at Cory's show.
They are an improv duo. They are father and son. They are Next Generation Gap. Denny and Carter Atkin rejoin the After Party to discuss what's been going on since we last talked to them.
He recently joined the CSz Seattle roster after moving from California's Bay Area. Drew Simchik has years of improv and theater experience. He brought and idea for a new show called Parallel Universe. With the help of some Seattle Playerz, like panelist Danielle Bortone-Holt, he was able to turn it into a successful show that's coming back in September.
No live events this week so we thought we'd update you on what a few of our alumni are up to in the near future. What's Mandy Price doing with a bunch of alumni, including some of our hosts? What's author Raven Oak doing? Windowpane is in Maryland right now, so we aren't discussing them. Also, what ever happened to Jonathan Tweet? Is he debating someone about something? At the Bibliophilia Storytelling Festival's first night we had an audio drama from our good friends at Sci-Fi Commons/Reality's Edge. The story was called "Drafted" and we thought you might want to be reminded of what a modern audio drama can be. Bibliophilia was directed by our very own, Jekeva Phillips.
Former adult film stars Alia Janine and Sovereign Syre joined us on the After Party before they launch their West Coast tour, Alia & Sovereign Do America. We find out about them and about their comedy. We compare Seattle and Milwaukee serial killers and much more.
Seattle has an amazing 12 pieces Steely Dan cover band called Nearly Dan. We had Jamie Dievieny and Darelle Holden, both vocalists of the band. We talked about their upcoming gig at Jazz Alley and more.
One of our very own hosts is now the guest as we talk with Jekeva Phillips. She talks about Word Lit Zine, Bibliophilia and how stupid book reports are.

After our CSz Seattle's latest round of auditions we got quite a few new players. We get to meet several of them and talk about everything but improv (or so it seems).
The official football team of the Seattle After Party, The Seattle Majestics, are back for the 2017 season. They've got some new players and some new stories. Also, they may have had a few drinks before the podcast. Either way, we had a whole lot of fun.

Anglicon, the Seattle area's very own Doctor Who and British media convention is coming back next weekend. We had Dan and Keith, anglicon staff, along with alumni and anglicon panelist Raven Oak on to talk about all the good stuff that is happening at the con. The Match Game has been a big part of the Seattle After Party. Before episode #61 got started, Doug Willott let us know some history behind the match game. Brooklyn Dicent thought he should host the new version.
Donna Prior, also known as Danicia, was our guest. We talked gaming, convention, and put that together to talk about gaming conventions. Of course we talked about Orcacon, the conventon she founded.
The guest for June 25th, 2016 was comedian Kelly Hannah. She's got a comedy show each month called "Teller vs. Show" It's a show in 3 acts based around the old Choose Your Own Adventure™ style of game book.
Comedian, emcee, and master of the universe Brooklyn Dicent joined us. We talked about being a professional not-panicker. Also joining our panel was Doug Willot from Jet City Improv.
Our match game contestants had some epic beards for the evening. Our guest was voice over artist, actress and podcaster Kris Keppeler. Our points were scored by halves this week, but the best beard won.
Kris talked with us after the match game about the new horror film that she was in, a sci-fi audio drama she's working on and how many hours it takes to narrate a whole book.

Kinzie Shaw and Natasha Ransom of the improv duo FEELINGS were our featured guests of the night. We had a belated birthday, including cake, for Kinzie who had recently celebrated another revolution around the sun. Also joining the panel was After Party alumni, Dave Clapper. We discussed food, feelings and feminism along with a few other 'f' words.
From the classic Seattle, sketch comedy show Almost Live!, Tracey Conway joined us. We talked about her time on the show. Her heart attack on the show. And what she's doing now.
We were also joined on the panel by Dan, Liz and Jay of the band Late September Dogs. They were there to make sure our version of the Lame List had members of Seattle's Rock Community.
In a night of returns, Ethan HD returned to talk about the return of Project 42 to Seattle on April 16th. Also returning to the podcast and joining the panel were Jacob Burgess and Alexander Jerabek.

Artist Mike Cressy joined us to talk art, art, art. We also had a special guest on the panel, from KIRO radio, Rachel Belle. We played Drink! for the second time and luckily we all made it through the night.
We played Cherry Picked Games' newest game, just funded on Kickstarter, Drink! We also tried to run a podcast with 2 of the creators of the game as our guests. One as a panelist and one as a contestant.
For our first episode of 2016 we were joined by Ethan HD, a professional wrestler who is bringing genuine pro wrestling to the city of Seattle. We discussed his new endeavour, Project 42, and their upcoming show at the El Corazon on January 23rd. We also discussed wrestling…a lot. Who doesn't want to know more about wrestling?
