If there’s one thing we have lost in this past year, it’s routine. The rhythm of our daily lives has been upended. But now as things are slowly returning to a new normal, it seems as though we have less time than before. All of us are busy, feeling overwhelmed, and pulled in a million directions. The truth is that this lifestyle is not the way God intended for us to live.

What if this reset could actually position us to create a rhythm that brings us to a better place in our personal relationship with God than ever before?

Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at what it means to create healthy, spiritual rhythms that last — like prayer, reading your bible, and even having a day of rest. We’re going to explore why making these things a priority actually brings rest into your schedule, and not more stress. So we want to invite you to join us for our new series, Rhythms, as we walk through what it means to join God’s movement in our daily lives.

When most people think about Easter and the resurrection, they think about the joy, the forgiveness, the grace and the mercy they receive from Jesus’s sacrifice. But what if Jesus saying, “it is finished” on the cross meant He secured more than that? The end of the world is a scary concept. It seems like everyone in the world is trying to either predict it or is afraid of it. Christians live in the tension of knowing we were made for another world and we fight to hold on because we see heaven as a place that isn’t too far away. But what exactly do we mean when we say heaven, hell and eternity? Join us for our series It’s All Over as we navigate through the truth of eternity and the future that Jesus secured.

All of us have said, “Something needs to change” at some point. You may find yourself saying it often! We are constantly looking for ways to improve our situation. Maybe you are desiring a change in your marriage, singleness, school, job, finances, or in parenting. The real question is what have you changed?

We truly desire change, but the problem is when we look to ourselves to change it. What can WE do to create the change we want? Is it a new spouse? A different schedule? A better job? A different major in school? Another self-help book? But we end up feeling like a failure when the change we were seeking doesn’t come. We are still left wanting something more. We scroll through our social media and think that other people must have just stumbled upon the change they desired. “They are so lucky!”

Is change something that we just stumble upon? Or is it something that we are awakened to? Join us for 40 days as we learn that change is all about following Jesus. Real, lasting change happens when we are following Him with our whole heart. Throughout these 40 days we are going to look at how every area of your life can be transformed through Christ — spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, relationally, and even financially. The Gospel of Jesus Christ can change everything. You just have to Awaken to Change.

You may find yourself in a challenging season of life. We can’t turn around and run back to ‘normal’, but we aren’t where we want to be. It’s easy to begin to doubt God’s goodness and become anxious about the next step in God’s plan. How can we trust that God is growing us in the space between where we are and where He’s leading?

David was a guy who was anointed king, but it took TWENTY years for him to be crowned. Can you imagine 20 years of not being where you want to be? The fact is that David wasn’t ready to be the king that God needed him to be.

God doesn’t waste any season we walk through because it’s in the challenging seasons that God does his greatest work. It’s not about changing WHERE we are. It’s about changing WHO we are so we’re prepared for what God has planned for us. Join us for our next series Already, but Not Yet as we study the life of David from the fields to the palace.

For many of us, this year has left us feeling very alone. We have had to isolate ourselves from friends, family, and co-workers for months. We've walked into hard times between losing jobs, homeschooling, division, and fear. The enemy has used these times to get into our heads and lead us to believe that no one is working for our good. We at the Journey want you to know that the enemy is a liar. You are LOVED. You are VALUED. You are NOT ALONE. God gave Jesus the name Emmanuel, which means God with us. That is a promise straight from our Creator. No matter how you feel, that is the reality. Join us for Christmas at the Journey as we gather together to thank God for the gracious gift of Jesus, God with us.

This year has been pretty unpredictable from a worldwide pandemic to the first astronauts launched from American soil since 2011. The world has turned upside down, and we all are not sure what's going on. We have had laughter and sorrow. We celebrated and were disappointed. We don't know all the answers, and that's hard. What we can rely on is that God is working everything for our good. With all this going on, our pastors want to share their hearts and what God is teaching them. That's why we are continuing our summer tradition of having our pastors rotate each week. They will challenge, encourage, and give us hope. Would you join us this summer through our online experiences, watch parties, or back in-person gatherings?

When Jesus came, He turned our world upside down. Or at least it feels that way. We have become so accustomed to the broken and distorted way of this world, that the way of Jesus seems foolish: love your enemies, find your life by losing it, and be great by being a servant. Why does this feel so ridiculous? Could it be that this “upside-down” way that Jesus presents is actually offering a way to turn our lives right side up? We invite you to join us for the Journey's newest series, Graves into Gardens.

Do you ever feel like something is missing? Worse yet, you can’t even put your finger on it. You may be thinking, “I know there is something I need to feel satisfied, and I just don’t know what it is!” So you throw yourself into pursuit after pursuit, but at the end of the day, a voice inside of you asks, “Is this all there is? Am I missing out? What if I never find what I’m looking for?” The reality is, this struggle for significance is not meaningless; it has a purpose! You were created for something that this world will never be able to offer! Join us as we work through what it means to find our identity in Jesus. Regardless of your achievements or your brokenness, you can walk through life knowing you were Made for More.

Hey Journey Family! So...congrats on breaking the internet. We are so sorry for all the delays and confusion today over the service being streamed online. We are going to try and host an online Premiere on Facebook tonight at 7:00pm.

If you are wanting to interact with other people from our church, be on the Journey’s Facebook page tonight at 7:00pm.

Again, thank YOU for being so understanding and encouraging as we navigate the changes of online ministry. Our God is faithful and is still on the throne. We are praying for you daily!

Love is more than having goosebumps or a mushy feeling pounding inside your chest. It isn't just caring for others, sympathetic emotions, or a desire to help those in need. No, love moves! Love is an action that dives headfirst into the ugliest of messes. When love sees brokenness, it doesn't wait for an invitation to get involved. Instead, it relentlessly and selflessly moves toward the pain. It abandons all selfish pride and seeks to serve others in tangible ways. Does your life reflect this kind of outrageous love? We invite you to join us for the three-part series, "Love Moves." You'll be encouraged and challenged to rethink what love really is.

Do you ever feel like your life is unfinished? You have an ambitious picture of who you want to become, but every time you think about the steps you need to take, you get overwhelmed. You've tried so many things, but end up in the same spot over and over again. Everyone else seems to move forward, but you feel stuck. What if we start to think about change differently? What if the power to change isn't found in yourself, but in Christ? We invite you to join us for our newest series, "Unfinished." Over the first few weeks of the new year, we'll take a deeper look at how seemingly small changes, can dramatically impact our lives. You have a purpose. Be encouraged that He who began a good work in you, will be faithful to complete it.

What if we thought about Heaven differently? What if we considered it a destiny to be experienced on Earth, instead of a celestial destination in the afterlife? Most of us are familiar with the words, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven,” but what exactly did Jesus mean? We encourage you to join us for our series “As in Heaven,” as we reflect on what God has done at the Journey in 2019, and dream together about what the future holds. We know you’ll be challenged and encouraged to think differently about the role you can play in bringing Heaven to Earth in 2020.

Let’s face it, the world around us is changing. The bubble that we used to live in has burst and we are vulnerable and we can feel it. Luckily, we aren’t the first people of God to feel this way. Not only do we have brothers and sisters around the world facing great persecution, but God also gave us an example in the Scriptures. In the book of Daniel, we see a man dragged from the comforts of his home land as a POW and placed as servant into the pagan kingdom that ransacked their people. We ask questions like: What did he do? How did he survive? But the real question we should ask is “how did he thrive?” In the face of adversity, will we cower in fear or face the roar with great confidence? Join us in our new series as we learn that our influence and ability to stand in adversity starts from the InsideOut.

The resurrection changed everything…but for some reason, parts of our lives still feel the same. In the book of John, Jesus performs 7 signs and miracles to not only show who He is, but to invite you to know the person you now have access too. Each sign was an isolated event that was a reflection of the future. Jesus wants to enter into your ordinary routine and change it forever. However, you can’t encounter Jesus without having His life-giving power collide with all of who you are.

Instead of embracing the refining fire of marriage, we tend run away from it, creating heartache for ourselves and our spouse. To find the intimacy we long for, we must be willing to be uncovered and vulnerable. In this series, we will be diving into what separates thriving relationships from those that never see progress. We will talk through the truth of what God has to say about relationships. If you’re married, you NEED this. If you’re single, you want this. So join us as seek progress in our relationships through the power of becoming uncovered.

We are invited to abide in Christ; we are invited to make our home in Him, and when we do, God promises to fill us with His Spirit and direct us towards His satisfying, abundant plan for our lives. Michelle Patterson & Lauren Wycuff Heart Peace Counseling

There are countless books out there telling us how to make our lives great or how to follow these 10 easy steps to the life we’ve been dreaming of. Instead, what if there was a guide detailing exactly how to do the opposite? What type of invaluable insight do you think you would find in this one book? This book could have the potential to offer a futuristic look at choices we make and where they take us. It could shed some light on how our impatience and selfishness can put us on the opposite side of greatness. It would be like having our very own map of what not to do if we want joy, peace and satisfaction in our lives. God has given us a perfect example, of this map, in the life of Saul. And we want you to join us as we uncover exactly how to ruin your life.

Inside all of us dwells a deep desire to be part of something greater and grander than ourselves. We all hope to influence the world in an extraordinary way and to leave a lasting impact once we’ve gone. This feeling isn’t there by coincidence; it is there because God has placed a specific calling on each of our lives. He has asked us to live a life that is radically different as a response to what he has done for us. Christ’s work on the cross sets us free to live with incredible hope, confidence and a purpose that is greater than any momentary pleasure or horrific suffering this world could possibly bring. Because of this promise, we can’t wait to dig into the book of First Peter and discover the ultimate and fulfilling aim that can be ours, when we know exactly who we are called to be.

We all know the feeling, the feeling we get when we are smack dab in the middle of a messy situation. When it’s nearly impossible to hold our tongues, keep our cool or muster an artificial smile for one more second. These feelings are waiting for us right below the surface of an unacknowledged hurt, a heated conversation or a situation that seems to have zero chance of resolution. And, it’s at this moment, when we are pushed to the edge, that we have to face it, stand up to the tension, get messy and meet the conflict head on. But, we don’t want to simply charge in with harsh words and demands; we want to get to the bottom of the issue. Because, ultimately, what we are really looking for, is peace and harmony in our relationships. If you’ve ever been there or felt like this, make sure to join us for our new relationship series as we dive head first into the mess and find out how to handle life when It’s About to Get Real.

Jesus’ invitation to follow Him was, and still is, an invitation into a relationship. A relationship that is built on Christ’s love and desire to be with you and know you. Before you clean up your life, do better, know more or reach some level of perceived religious standing; Christ just wants to be with you! With this invitation Jesus asks us to leave behind our old way of life to experience amazing peace and ultimate joy. But, this relationship is also marked by self-denial and loving obedience. His call is one that is not necessarily audible but goes straight to the heart. The question is, will you listen? Will you answer yes to the invitation?

There is a war going on in our society today. Culture is attempting to snatch away any kind of solidified gender identity. The pendulum swings between two extremes. Either you believe that one gender is better than the other in every way or you believe that they are all equal in every way without any distinction. The lines have become blurred and the differences between men and women are no longer as clear to the world as they once were. So where does that leave Christians? What does the Bible have to say about differences between the men and women God created? Why are those differences something to be celebrated? Join us this February as we walk through our new series “Battle of the Sexes”.

Most of us could agree that our beliefs have the power to not only define who we are but also influence the trajectory of our lives. If we believe this is true, then wouldn’t it be imperative for us to know what we believe and why we believe it, especially when it comes to God? We live in a culture that tells us that there are no definites; there are no definite rights and no definite wrongs. We are offered a perspective that says all beliefs are correct, even if they are drastically different. But how can everyone be right if we all believe different things? Join us on November 18/19, as we answer the question, in a culture where all beliefs are considered equal, why God?

Join us the weekend of October 21, as we take time to stop and praise our Lord for all that He has done over the past 12 months. Along with that, we want to fix our eyes on the year ahead because the BEST is YET to come. We have some exciting details about our future Journey campuses to share with you during this series, so make sure you are here as we declare together that He is worth it.

I. Don’t. Know. Those three small words are words no one likes saying, because not knowing is a frustrating and scary place to be. It makes us wonder if things would be easier if we knew everything about our lives RIGHT NOW. Unfortunately, not all the decisions we make are marked with clear signs telling us what to do or where to go. And, in the midst of uncertainty, making choices can seem daunting and overwhelming. But, we want you to know that you are not alone and there is hope.

Countless accounts have outlined the lives of amazing heroes, scientific geniuses and creative revolutionaries. However, there is one biography that not only tells a story, but was also penned specifically to break the rules and push back boundaries. Mark records the life of a true radical; a man who defied social norms in order to do something no one ever expected. As we delve into this biography, the author will challenge our religious views, opinions and traditions while asking us to decide, decide if we agree with the profound conclusion of the book of Mark. Because if you do, it will change you, your world and everything about you.

What comes to mind when you hear the word church? Maybe it’s a little wooden building with a steeple or maybe it’s creaking pews and a list of the Ten Commandments? But, what if the church is something else entirely? What if the church isn’t a place or a building? Jesus demonstrated a way of thinking, behaving and believing that changed the world forever. His bold love, sacrifice and surrender awakened a people and started a revolution. This work of God didn’t end with Jesus. God is calling you to follow him so you can be part of a movement.

There is a longing within us to experience God’s power and love in our lives, so why is it that so often we feel guilty, defeated, and trapped. The bible is clear, God intends for His people to live a life of freedom. A life free from guilt and shame. But why do we feel like that's such an impossibility. What must we do to finally release the burden of our past? How can we overcome the brokenness and find lasting hope for the future? The answer is only found in Jesus Christ! He meets us right where we are, right in the middle of our brokenness and bondage to offers us a love that frees us. On the cross Jesus accomplished everything we need to live in freedom. He asks us to surrender all that we are so he can give us greater joy, better fulfillment, complete forgiveness and a brand new life. Be a part of the next 40 days as we discover the freedom that Jesus offers so we no longer live as slaves.

We all have that one thing we are currently pursuing. You know, the thing that pales in comparison to everything else in our life right now. Whatever it is, we are willing to sacrifice for it, to work really hard to get it and to spend lots of money on it. But then questions eventually flood our mind, “Is 'our thing' really worth all this? What if we spend all this time just to realize there is something far more valuable out there?" Join us this month as we search for something that’s far GREATER THAN all of it.

But dealing with the "it" allows you to move past yesterday's regrets and find true meaning in your relationships today. "It" is the cause of every fractured friendship, family drama, marriage split, and relational rift. Dealing with the "it" lets us work through and overcome conflict, make stronger connections, and create happier and more productive relationships. What is this "it" and how do you learn to deal?

It’s easy to get a small piece of information and think we know the whole story, especially when it comes to those that follow Christ. Everywhere you turn it seems that people have different opinions of what christianity is like. Later on, you may pursue an award in school, a sports position, a chair in band or a specific scholarship! Throughout our life we chase fame, fortune, relationships, security and various other things. The problem is, when we finally get what we are pursuing, it doesn’t live up to our expectations. It leaves us unfulfilled. It leaves us wanting more. Join us this month as we turn our eyes toward the One who is truly worth chasing after.

With scandalous grace, Jesus Christ came to change everything about you. He meets you where you are, but loves you too much to leave you there. He asks that we surrender what is good so He can give us what is best; Greater joy, Better fulfillment, Complete Forgiveness and a Fresh Awakening. Join us February 13th as we spend the next 40 days leading up to Easter following an ancient tradition that the followers of Christ have been voyaging for almost 2,000 years. Through these 40 days of Passion we will discover what it means to really live and be transformed by the Cross.
