I'm an award winning International ICT Evangelist, Author and Broadcaster. I spend most of my time these day working with Young People and using live radio broadcasting technology to improve their speech and language. For the last 4 years I've been working regularly for The Arts Council of Wales at a qualified Creative Practitioner on their Lead Creative Schools Programme. I bid, get interviewed and am then appointed to that school for a piece of work with regular visits. I've had 11 appointments to date and hope to have more starting in 2020.
Anderton Tiger Radio is the broadcast channel for all of my Student Workshop and Live Event Radio activities.
Education Radio works is a powerful engaging medium that allows me to scaffold some inspiring learning activities along the way. Without the usual safeguarding concerns that exist with Video, Radio is easy, quick and delivers huge impact across a broad range of ages and abilities.
This is where you'll find all of my live workshops as On-Demand Listen Again podcasts with the added feature of being able to comment in the timeline of the broadcast. This is a great way of showing your delight and enjoyment at a specific point in the broadcast and a perfect way of validating the hard-work of the Young Folks who too part in the broadcast.
As well as hosting learning activities I also design and make bespoke Education Radio Broadcasting Equipment and have done since 2008. I have 355 Schools using my equipment all over the UK, Singapore and Dubai. Find out more about my current range of products and services here www.AndertonTiger.com/HUB
Anderton Tiger Radio is Licensed by PRS & PPL to play Live, Streamed and Podcasted Music.
I have presented to HM The Queen, members of the Royal Family, Heads of State and Ministers from the UK and abroad. I'm told that I'm well reported and that I enjoy a high profile as one of the best known Education Broadcasters in the UK. Anderton Tiger has had over 40 million listeners to date.

We set out to prove a concept that hosting a live radio show with stimulation from Blog Posts was indeed a viable way of reaching young people during a School shutdown due to the impact of The CoronaVirus.
Ian Rockey - Headteacher of Westwood with Iford Primary School Nr Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire co-hosted this live show with me. We was at home in Wiltshire and I hosted from The Anderton Tiger Radio Studios in Buckinghamshire. We wanted to test that this method of carrying the Educator's voice live into the homes of young people would work for instructional learning and it does, just listen to the comments from around the globe during the show.
I've offered to provide a FREE service to those without live radio stations for the duration of the School closures. All Educators need is a Skype connection and to direct listeners to my listening portals.
We also talked to Ty Goddard, Mark Anderson and John Sutton about their ideas around this topic.

David Beeney chats to Russell ahead of his talk at the Show about Creating a Kinder Culture of Trust Drives Employee Energy.
We look at how we can create a kinder culture of trust where managers feel confident to ask employees about their wellbeing knowing how this dramatically improves employee energy, productivity, engagement and results.
Founder of Breaking the Silence Limited David has established himself as one of leading advisers in the UK on how to drive employee engagement through an effective wellbeing programme and is proud to have been listed in the top 101 influencers globally. He specialises in creating cultures of trust that are free from the stigma of mental health that are all inclusive.
David helps employers to discover the direct link between employee wellbeing and energy. As a consequence, more boardrooms are now realising that investing in their people will drive productivity and business results will always improve. David is at the leading edge of understanding how you create a greater understanding of mental health in the workplace and how investment in the education of your staff will give you a return on investment

Ryan Donovan chats to Russell ahead of his talk at the Show about growing up with parents on drugs and all the trauma that comes with it.
He ended up being on drugs and other substances for many years, causing the same harm to others that was caused to him.
Ryan now mentors people who want to stop and find a new way to live. He's been through treatment, studied addiction and came out the other side. Ryan now has enough knowledge to stay on top of this disease and show others how to do the same. Ryan talks about how much this has been a huge part of his life and wants to share his story with others.
ADVISORY NOTICE: This is a frank and honest interview, topics of drug abuse, alcohol addiction and suicide are discussed in an open and factual way.

In this feature length podcast I am delighted to be able to talk in depth to the inspirational Russell Prue of Anderton Tiger Broadcasting. A highly respected speaker and ICT Evangelist, Russell leads the way in the use of education radio as a successful and powerful medium for developing confidence, resilience and literacy skills. He builds and supplies radio stations of the highest quality, yet affordable for school budgets, that allow children and young people of all abilities to independently create their own radio shows and achieve fantastic results. First broadcast on Friday 26th April 2019, 20 young folks from Pownall Hall School - the newly formed Radio Champions Team put this together on their first day in the job! Outstanding!
This is a stunning, a simply stunning example and the very best yet that I've ever heard on a first day in Radio for young people from YR2 to YR6.

During our final radio show, 12 of 12, we introduced a new talent to our audience Mr Dominik Mraz rapped through his own written song.
The backing track used Produced by High Flown and fully licensed for our use.
First broadcast on Wednesday 3rd April 2019, this is show number twelve of twelve and is the final part of the School's LCS project this year.
24 Students from YR7 to YR10 worked worked with their Creative Practitioner Russell Prue and produced this stunning live radio show. The broadcast is presented here as a podcast without the copyright music.
Our Special Guest today was Mr Peter Penn and our Rap Artist was Dominik Mraz
We placed a bigger focus on non-rehearsal today and off-script banter with some interesting results. We also had some circle-time for our production script read-through and that certainly had a huge impact on the young broadcasters, we know this because they told us so at the end of the show show! Watch this space as we develop this theme next week. We're also settled on running a topical discussion each week inviting comment and contributions from listeners to good effect.
Our final show was broadcast in front of a live studio audience of invited guests and our local Welsh Assembly Member.
We're asking for sponsors and for people to get in touch who might like to advertise on our station in the coming months. We'll be reaching a huge audience who will mostly live in and around the School. This is the perfect opportunity for those with businesses, clubs and organisations who have products, services and events they might like to promote. Off-Script Dialogue
Russell shares some top tips on how to encourage your broadcasters to develop their handover conversational skills. Russell calls this Off Script and it's a couple of lines that don't get written down. In fact they're not allowed to write this down and have to make it up. Usually it's a comment about the previous item or just a warm and generous welcome to what's coming up in their report.
The important aspect is that this dialogue isn't written down! I can be rehearsed of course!

As part of our Naace Radio activities I got the opportunity to chat with Kevin Brennan MP – Shadow Schools Minister (Cardiff West) after his opening keynote speech at the Naace Strategic Conference in March. We’ve had lots of requests to make the interview available separately.
I listened to Kevin’s speech to conference and I can honestly say I haven’t heard such informed passion since listening to a former SoS for Education Estelle Morris now Baroness Morris. I think the conviction comes from having been a practitioner and there is clearly no substitute for classroom experience. Perhaps this should be a future key requirement for any SoS for Education.
I’m pretty sure that this is an interview with the next SoS for Education!
