One day soon, we will find ourselves standing before either the Judgement Seat of Christ or the Great White Throne Judgement. One brings reward and another brings wrath. Are you ready?
Pastor David Halan ends the series in the book of Acts looking at how Paul makes his way into Rome. A journey that ends with encouragement as Paul is met entering into the city. We also see how Paul continued his ministry for two more years under house arrest, even writing some of the epistles from his captivity. Paul's life, whether in captivity or free, was focused on reaching the lost and furthering the kingdom.
We study the account in Genesis of God creating woman and His intention in and through the new institution called marriage.
We march into eternity under one of three banners. One banner people march under is the "No desire to be a Christian". The second is "Almost a Christian". Last, there is the banner of "Altogether Christian". Which banner are you marching towards eternity under? Can you be an almost Christian and still be saved? The answer is an emphatic, "No!" The gospel of Christ leads us all to make a decision. We are either followers of Christ (Christians) or we are not. How terrible it would be to spend eternity thinking about how you almost made the decision to follow Christ. Paul stands before Festus and Agrippa and forces them to make a decision. Festus has "no desire". Agrippa was "almost persuaded". There is only one way to heaven and Paul shows us how we must be an "altogether" Christian. Please listen as Pastor David explains and challenges us to make this decision in our lives and also encourages us to lead others to make that same decision.
Pastor David Halan describes Paul's mission in appearing before Agrippa, not only his defense but his testimony. Pastor David spends time on verse 18 explaining the 5 things Jesus does for us at conversion: 1) He opens our eyes; 2) He brings us from darkness into light; 3) He turns us from the power of Satan to the power of God; 4) He provides the forgiveness of sins; and 5) We receive an inheritance in Heaven.
Pastor David brings us a message placed on his heart about the Biblically Christian view of the nation of Israel, providing an in-depth dive into the Bible and what it says we should view God's chosen children of Jacob.
Guest Speaker Bill Katz provides a powerful message looking at what is going on with Israel today in America, around the world, and especially in Israel. One thing to remember is that the things we see today aren't a function of a clash of personalities, governments, or historical struggles. Rather, the conflict in Israel is a conflict of religious ideologies. Bill leads us through Zechariah 12 and also Isaiah 65 to explain.
Pastor David bring us to Paul's court session, where Paul is intimidated and accused, but the peace of God equips Paul in the midst of this trial.

Pastor David continues the series in Acts looking at what righteousness is and how we attain it. In this message, we find out what kind of judgement awaits us, who will be doing the judging, and three reasons people procrastinate.

Pastor David answers the question: "what is a conscience?" and what it means to have a God cleansed conscience through Jesus' sacrifice.

Pastor David Halan continues the series in Acts looking at the roll of citizenship in Paul's life. When necessary, Paul made his Roman citizenship known, but his main concern was his heavenly citizenship. In this message, we are encouraged to not only be respectful of the authorities that God has placed over us, but also to make sure that we stay the course that Paul set, making sure that our heavenly citizenship is always placed above our American citizenship.
There are so many things that we allow to separate us from our brothers and sisters in Christ, some of these things can be characterized as non-essential. In the same way, Paul addressed this issue with the early church as we read about in this scripture. James, the half-brother of Jesus requested Paul to take part in a Nazarene ceremony so that the Jews would see that he wasn't against the law and this is one of the many things Paul ended up doing to become "All things to all men". In the same way, we are encouraged today to be unified in the essential things, to have freedom in non-essentials, and to have charity in all things (paraphrasing Augustine).
As a continuation of the series in Acts, Pastor David Halan presents a special message focused on the Christmas season, where we contemplate the meaning of Christ's birth, life, ministry, and sacrificial death. As Acts 20:35 says, "It is more blessed to give than receive", Pastor David provides 5 Blessings this Holiday Represents: 1) The 1st and Greatest Blessing - Christ's Life; 2) The 2nd and Significant - To Receive that Life Through Faith by Grace; 3) The 3rd and Better Blessing - The Profound Reality & Freedom in Giving; 4) The 4th and Beneficial Blessing - The Participation & Witness of Meeting the Needs of Others with Giving; and 5) The 5th & Transforming Blessing - To Understand the Humility that Comes Full Circle in Realizing that All I Have has Been Given to me by God.

What does it mean to be a radical disciple of Christ? Pastor David provides us three insights to help us impact our community for God: 1) A dedication to the Word; 2) A personal relationship with Jesus himself; and 3) A willingness to burn bridges at whatever the cost.
Scripture has some amazing things to say about a man named Apollos. He was an eloquent man, mighty in scripture, fervent in spirit, and instructed in the way of the Lord. All of these descriptions are characteristics that all of us would love to be described as. Yet Pastor David focuses on one of his most important characteristics, humility. Acts 17:1-9
Pastor David brings us a message on how Paul, Silas and the Church of Thessalonica turned their world right side up.
After delivering a young girl from demon possession, magistrates of the town had Paul and Silas beaten and jailed. While in the depths of the prison, Paul and Silas began praising God. We know the story about how the chains came off and the jail doors opened, and of the conversion of the jailer and his family. We are challenged in this teaching to praise God in the darkness, not when it is easy, but when it is hard and necessary. That is when people watch you the most and your testimony is the most powerful.
This is an important message to those of us trying to balance failures in faithfulness with grace. Paul and Barnabas have a disagreement and come to a point where they go separate ways. Scripture does not tell us who was right and who was wrong, but maybe they followed their own spiritual convictions that lead them both separately where God wanted them. All of this came about because of the previous unfaithfulness of John Mark. Barnabas wanted to bring John Mark along with them on their journey and Paul did not. In the end, we find that although Barnabas and Paul separate, and Barnabas leaves with John Mark, at the end of Paul's ministry, John Paul has been restored to the ministry and is an important person who provides necessary support to him.
Pastor David Halan continues the series in Acts looking at the trials that Paul suffered in his first missionary journey. More importantly, we see how Paul persevered through suffering and how he encouraged believers that, "We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God."
Pastor David takes us through the start of Paul's Missionary Journey as he comes against opposition. Paul is filled with the Holy Spirit and is able to stand strong against them and also witness as the Holy Spirit leads someone of high importance into the Kingdom. This is an example of how we should also be prepared and stand strong. If we are standing strong, we will have these encounters. Pastor David tells us how we can have peace because of whose we are.

Peter was a Jew among Jews, with an understanding of being a follower of Christ only from his experience with Christ. In this section of scripture, he is confronted by other Jewish followers of Christ because of his interactions with the Gentiles. Peter relays to the apostles and brethren exactly what the Holy Spirit revealed to him, which is that Christ's salvation came to both the Jew and the Gentile. Pastor David reveals 5 boundaries that allow us to be fully open to the Holy Spirit: 1) The Holy Spirit will never do anything that violates the Word of God; 2) The Holy Spirit will never do anything inconsistent with the nature of Christ; 3)The Holy Spirit will only and always testify, point to, and glorify Jesus; 4)When the Holy Spirit is operating through a person's life, he or she will practice self-control; 5)When the Holy Spirit is at work, He does all things decently and in order.
Pastor Dave takes a look at Joshua's words to the people which is a famous quote we all know: "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." In a world full of confusion and tumult, fathers are needed to be bold, to stand by their children, and to make sure that we will serve the Lord.
What does it mean to walk in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. These two experiences happen hand in hand and the early church had this experience which led to multiplication. How do we get filled with the Holy Spirit? What is keeping us from it. Gal 3:2 tells us that we cannot earn the gifts of the Spirit, but rather by faith. Pastor David challenges us to take our eyes off of the gift and instead keep our eyes on the Giver of the gifts.
Pastor David Halan takes us on a journey with the apostle Paul as he went through a transformation all for what God had in store for him, preparation for service. We learn that God's preparation in each of our lives for service includes: 1) Staying, 2) Training, 3) Testing, 4) Trusting, and 5) Waiting. We find out that "Preparation of our maturity and our character is a loving and intimate work of our Heavenly Father with no shortcuts in the process."
Pastor David takes us through a look at 3 aspects of Philips life: 1) His Spiritual Life, 2) His Family Life, and 3) His Private Life. As we look at Philip's spiritual life, we learn that he was: 1) a disciple, 2) a servant, 3) was gifted (by the Holy Spirit), and 4) was an evangelist. We also learn that Philip was willing to go anywhere, did exactly what God told him to do, obeyed quickly, looked for common ground - tactfully, and preached Jesus to the lost. Pastor David ties it all together at the end as he examines Philips willingness to forgive and faithfulness. All this and more about an amazing man we can all learn a lot from.
This special message is centered on Palm Sunday as we start the passion week. Jesus makes his triumphal entry on a white donkey foal and the people gather and shout praises, laying down palm branches. We await another triumphal entry of our savior and we get a glimpse of our time in Heaven waving palm branches for our savior, the conquering king.
