'So Better' aka 'Soul Water' aka 'Soul Brother' aka 'So Father' - the name depends on listener's perception and judgement. But I can clearly hear 'So Better'.

Does not really fit into previously set genres.

STORY OF THE TRACK & UNDER THE HOOD

This track is the sibling of Feel Shine which was released together as single. It comes from same template I use when creating new project. As you may hear it contains all my signature sounds - 'Oh', water drop, and bandpass vocal loop. Again - not a single bar is the same, every bar is unique. It also belongs to my made up genre 'Vapor Garage' fusion vapor twitch and garage. This sounds more like garage then vapor twitch / future bass compared to Feel Shine. I found out that 115 bpm (which Do U Thinking is written in) is the limit tempo for this genre. Above 115bpm does not feels like future bass anymore, its not working. I took a lesson from producing Feel Shine, so this project contains only 84 channels xD I have experimented with creative process. This was the first track I made with Session View in Ableton using Launchpad Mini and it was worth it. I made the complete track in 2 days and I was only tuning the sound and layers for 2 months (super-fast in my case). Most of the synths are made using Serum, but you can clearly hear the cheesy Reducer preset of Massive. I did a lot of crazy shit using Ableton's arpeggiators as well as chord tools such as Holy Scale https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/holy-scale-chord-progression-rack-8bitbandit/ The secret of why the track may sound clear / elevated / hovering to you lies in the manually drawn automations of gain where should be silence. Every releasing reverb needs to be cut without mercy - Virtual Riot style. In the mixdown process I have used 'Variety Of Sounds' https://varietyofsound.wordpress.com/ which smooths and nicely set the groups of layers into the space. From now on I use it in every project. The vocal is taken from 'Free vocals' library https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mY9CUYxhs0 however I have polished it with Melodyne.

Let it shine! scratches performed by Honey T. scratch version https://www.facebook.com/honeytcz/videos/563830194125354/ project sneek peek https://www.facebook.com/honeytcz/videos/1690764077646734/

STORY OF THE TRACK & UNDER THE HOOD I consider Feel Shine as my masterpiece so far. Its a new concept for my future tracks. Its a fusion of garage and future bass / vapor twitch. The sounds are typical for garage, but its in future bass tempo (105bpm). So they say that the future bass is a mixture of all the styles I liked in past decade (trap, dnb, garage, dubstep). There was idea in my head to produce vapor twitch track more garage-like and vice-versa and here it is. I call it Vapor Garage, its not taken so far. You can expect more fusions like this in future. Feel Shine contains all of my signature sounds - 'Oh', water drop, and bandpassed vocal loop.

Ok, the track not easy to listen, it meant to be made for ears of advanced listeners. Not a single bar is repeated. I made this barely 3 minutes track for 9 fucking months (not a every day, but mostly yes). I also recorded my own scratches. The acapella is taken from 'Milk Inc - In My Eyes'. Track has more than 100 layers which was a complete nightmare to finish. I am satisfied with the result, but i would never do it again this way .]
