Honey shares a story about her stepdaughter & divorce kids syndrome. Sometimes it makes a person feel better to know, they aren’t alone. Sometimes it helps to know you aren’t so different- when people realize others struggle with similar issues, it makes us feel more normal. When a person feels like things are harder for them, and they can attach that to a way to blame some one else, even before they understand that what they are dealing with is normal so don’t fret over it so much.... when we realize it’s ordinary the it seems the “issue” isn’t so much an issue like it had been.... some things a teenager or child experiences after a divorce is normal stuff, but when they think it’s not normal, then they see the issue as worse than it is and they attach more importance to it. But when they see it’s not so different nor that important then they tend to not worry over it any more until the once big issues become just a quick glitch & over with quickly. Same with people that might feel like they have to do or act differently because the color of their skin... maybe if some realized skin color may have zero to do with it.... maybe it’s just a thing e everyone deals with.... well it’s something to think about... please share your thoughts, ask more questions of share your stories that Aline with this topic and feel free to tell me a topic you want to discuss or tell me things you worry over or want to see changed.... #talking for #positiveChange #BLM #AmericaUnite #weareONE #imNotKaren
Just some things I was thinking about. Sharing the tales of my journey of having aging parents. As I affectionately call them, my boomers. Seasons of life all bring pains, heartaches, joy & thrills. With every season there comes new lessons to learn. Everyone’s experiences in each season is what makes up you and the more lessons learned in each season, the stronger that person becomes. It’s up to each of us to self reflect and take time to analyze life and create new goals or find new hobbies. In some stages of life we may find we are unable to do all we loved before. Like my dad wanting to tend bees and ride motorcycles and things...he started heading in a downward way, but then when he decided to find a new normal for himself and realize he can find new hobbies and keep living, just living different that before. I think that for those aging like them this is a good approach as you enter this season of life.
