There are many advantages to having a podcast. Such as there being flexible learning opportunities. You do not have to use a computer every single time for the playback. Audio files can be easily and inexpensively be created and uploaded to course, website/wiki/blog.
Also, some of the disadvantages would have to deal with accessibility issues. You cannot go on that many things. Transcripts must be made of files to ensure accessibility.
