This podcast looks at eating habits around the world based on cultural identities and preferences. Questions we delve into are what sorts of diets are there around the world, the food values of different diets. We will also look into what constitutes a healthy diet, and conversely what causes unhealthy eating habits around the world. How do we ensure that we are eating healthy. The big problem is of course how do we feed 9 billion people with good food and proper nutrition, while improving the yield on the agricultural lands and most importantly, living sustainably. This requires major shifts in production and lifestyle changes. A major component is also food education.
Our three wonderful students , Eshan, Vokmar and Samarth, who participated in a summer workshop of 21st Century Learning, Podcasts and Infographics, present their findings, based on detailed research, insights and recommendations for how to live healthy in a sustainable world in a lively and informative discussion with the moderator, Meera Varigonda.
Please do listen and share with others. A real treat and eye-opening discussion. This podcast was conducted on July 15th, 2021.
