I’ve been doing 30-day custom content decks with marketing strategies - and this episode is going to be what I’ve learned from doing 25+ of these so far and how I approach them so you can do this for yourself.

Also - if you want to order your own 30-day custom content deck with marketing strategy 100% personalized for you, by me, they’re on sale right now for Black Friday for just $47.

laurenmarieglobal.com/blackfriday

Here are the questions that I ask in order to do this plan and audit - so grab a notepad or open up a google doc so you can come back to these yourself later.

A lot of people have said that just in answering these questions for me they gained a lot of clarity about what they want to do on their social media, but more importantly where they might be lacking the information or focus they require in order to really know who they’re selling to, and what their offer is …

So going through these questions should help you get really clear before you just jump in and start making fun reels or tiktoks or whatever.

  1. What platform will you focus on (choose 1)
  2. What is your ideal goal and intention for this custom content deck? (i.e. - you need ideas, you want to use it for organic vs. paid, etc.)
  3. Let's talk about your ideal customer (or client, student, participant)

    • Who is your ideal customer or client? Describe her/ him in as much detail as you can below.
    • What are 3 specific problems your ideal customer is facing right now? Not getting comments on her social media posts
  4. What are 3 specific DESIRES your ideal customer is facing right now? Examples: She wants to get more online clients so she can stop working in her clinic so many hours a week

  5. Let's talk about what you want to sell.

    • What are your marketing goals? Specifically over the next 90 days what are you trying to achieve?
    • Describe what you will be selling during the next 90 days (private session, class, course, etc) Please include prices and titles of the offers
    • Are any of these offers time sensitive or do you have any promotions in the next 90 days?
  6. What best describes your style on social media?

  7. What are your content creation limits...are you willing to do reels? videos? Is there anything you specifically are interested in more than other types of content?

  8. What makes you and your offer different than everything else that's out there?

I did a deep dive into one of my clients’ businesses recently and interviewed 18 of her customers. What I discovered was the disconnect between what she was selling and what they wanted, the problems they were having (both internally and externally) and the way she talked about how she could solve those problems for them.

This is one of the core principles of marketing and something that I’m offering now in my 1:1 services.

Today, I’m going to walk you through the exact process I did with this business so that you can do your own ideal customer profile for yourself.

  1. Identify at least 10 people to interview
  2. Here are some key questions to ask them:

  3. Tell me about your business/ life/ body/ relationship (whatever problem your offer solves)

  4. What’s your biggest struggle currently with it
  5. If you had a magic wand what would you change or what would you ask for

  6. Record, transcribe, and analyze the interviews

  7. Look for themes and create a profile based on them & identify key takeaways

Make sure you do not interpret their words but, rather use the exact words they do.

By doing these interviews you will have your sales copy written for you, and you will be developing voice of customer data which is invaluable.

In this episode you'll learn what to do if no one buys on your webinar or free masterclass.

Here are the top 3 reasons why they're coming but they don't end up buying:

  1. You’re giving too much information and overwhelming them
  2. You’re not creating a gap that your offer can fill
  3. It’s your offer - is it so good they’d be crazy not to buy??

Wanna know how to stay poor while earning sh*ttons of money?

I didn't think so!

I was given really bad advice, listened to it for a really long time, and got myself into a pickle.

And I've since come to find out that THIS mindset mistake is super common.

It's my hope that by walking you through the mindset shift that I recently made that has given us an increase of $97k, it will help you, stop you from making this mistake, or allow you to be even stronger financially!

Inside this episode, I outline the 4 steps we are taking to get ourselves right financially (after waking up and having this mindset shift)

Step 1 - Get the book, Profit First

Step 2 - Itemize ALL your expenses. I mean, every single one. Consider calling in your debit cards lost to force-cancel any subscriptions you’ve made on them. Cancel all recurring small charges, and make sure to check annual subscriptions that you can easily forget about.

Step 3 - Consider staff cutbacks. This sucks but is usually the biggest line item and you might not be able to afford them.

Step 4 - Implement profit first so you are running your business out of what you can actually afford to spend and living on what you can actually afford to live on.

There are lots of ways to make them fancy but remember that all the bells and whistles you add will add a layer of tech and potential problems that you don't need!

I'll be outlining the top 3 factors to make hosting your live webinar simple.

Plus, a couple of little extra hints to add here:

After you listen to this and feel confident to set up your first webinar, just do a test run with a friend and make sure that everything is working.

Also, I like to have a "worst case scenario" worked out just so that I can relax and know that a back-up plan is in place.

Questions are always an opportunity to handle objections people have before putting down their money with you. In today's episode, we'll cover the top 3 questions you should plan to answer at the end of your next webinar in order to make more sales. We'll also talk about why these 3 questions are so important and some ways to tackle the objections that lie beneath them.

#1 Time

  • How much time will it take to get the results you're offering in your program or course.

#2 Money

  • No matter the price point, some people will have the objection of money and there are ways to handle both the actual financial side as well as talk about and demonstrate the value you are providing so that your customer will be more apt to make that investment if it's right for them.

#3 Skill or "is it right for me?"

  • This one is important because people will always be disqualifying themselves from whatever you sell working for them. There are ways to illustrate who your program or course is for and who it is not right for.

If you're curious about working with me for your business' marketing and sales needs, you can submit an application here www.workwithlaurenmarie.com to see if we are a good fit.

Why people don’t buy after they come to your free class?

There are different types of “free content” designed to help you sell your paid offer: masterclass, webinar, free intro class, video series, zoom, telecall, email series, podcast sequence, private podcast

First thing to consider when doing a free thing in order to pitch your paid thing is to choose an interesting, engaging, attention-grabbing topic.

People no longer sign up for things just because they’re free.

You need to actually sell (and market) your free event just like you do anything you are charging for.

When choosing your webinar or masterclass topic, I’ve identified 10 important factors to consider.

I'm back for Season 3 of Marketing Chaos!

I'm on the path to recovery. Recovery on all levels from a traumatic experience that, at time of this recording, is still occuring.

If you want the full download of where I've been, I created a private podcast series that is 7 Brutal Lessons Learned on My Way to Business Success.

Listen to that here: http://laurenmarieglobal.com/lessons

This private series is a personal story, but many people have found them relevant to their journey as well.

As for Marketing Chaos, and an introduction to our new season, I'm beginning with values.

Values are something that I never paid much attention to and thought everyone just had the same ones, and writing them down was some sort of empty exercise, like having a mission statement…

Now it’s something I think about with every piece of content and every decision. I also get into priorities and constraints inside this episode.

Also, I talk about my surprising discovery of the relationship of trauma, the brain, and moving forward in business.

I'd love to hear from you on https://www.instagram.com/laurenmarieglobal/

In this episode we're talking about when and why to make something free versus low price.

This actually came up in a coaching call with one of our Membership Launch Academy members. What she wanted was to do 30 days of videos for $30, and at the end sell those people into a 6-month coaching program for $1800.

I'm using her question as an example in this episode, to show you that sometimes you can't just slap a price tag on something. There needs to be more thought and a clear purpose for the things you are creating!

In this episode, let’s talk about the 3 pillars to your business and where you might actually have an underlying issue causing this “offer hopping”.

What purpose does your membership have for you and your business?

In all cases additional money is ONE factor, but it may not be the main one. Here are three main ways a membership can be used in your business:

  1. PURPOSE: A way to nurture and attract new people and generate new leads.
  2. VALUE ADD: If you are already doing workshops or sessions, this is a way for people to have more access to you on an ongoing basis and they are spending more to have that access.
  3. YOUR BUSINESS FOCUS: Your membership stands alone and is the main focus of your business.

  • What happens when someone tries to give you money?
  • How easy is it for someone to pay you?
  • How much do you discount what you do?
  • Are you always trying to give people too much? Is that really kind?
  • Are you grateful for money?

Choosing to create a greater future for the long term sometimes means that you have to cut back on a few things in the short term.

I was really resistant to this! I had the point of view that to get bigger and greater you should always be choosing MORE. So the more my business grew, the more I just upgraded my lifestyle.

And then we (my husband and I) sat down and looked at what our actual targets are. For the first time in about 7 years since having the twins I was willing to look at cutting back - in order to grow.

This episode is all about intentionally making choices that will allow you to save money, invest in wealth to create true financial security, and create a greater future (for your life and business).

There are actually two roles you can take with social media. One is that of a consumer and one is a creator.

A creator goes on social media with a specific intention. How much time they spend on social media platforms is intentional. They have a clear purpose with social media. This is a very different energy than with being a consumer.

If you feel like you're overwhelmed having to be on social media, or you are on social media all day long... get off! You are in business - you have better things to do in your business and in your life than to be on social media.

You need to become a creator on social media and stop consuming it. Tune in to this episode to find our how you can do that with ease!

Most businesses will tell you that the reason that they're successful is because they have a superior quality of products, features, price, and service.

A high end coaching offer is usually something that is priced over $1500. These aren't cheap offers, nor should they be.

There is a high level of investment of time, energy, and money on the client's part and on your delivery. These offers usually involve more one on one time with you or have more touch-points.

If you're looking for a way to sell a high ticket or high value offer in a non-creepy or annoying way, then tune into this episode.

Someone said to one of my membership group leaders - "Lauren is just a natural. For us ... not so much".

And I got really fired up about this because it's not true that I have more of a natural ability or talent than anyone in my group.

The attribution of success to natural ability or just talent is an excuse to not achieve, to not have success, and to not try in case of failure.

In this episode I want to blow this whole concept of "it just comes naturally" out of the water!

When someone new has joined your membership group, that beginning period (that first day, week, month) is really crucial.

You want to make them feel welcome and that they know they have arrived at the exact right place with all their new best friends waiting inside for them.

That's the energy that you want to go for when you are onboarding new members. You want to make sure that it's a fun and easy process for both them and for your current members.

You will find that social media gurus always give advice that lean more heavily on ORDER than on Chaos.

What most people don't know is that you actually need BOTH energies to create your business.

Today’s social media is much more rough, raw, real … and uncut.

Let CHAOS infuse into your social media while still maintaining organization and a workflow that works for your lifestyle.

Having a membership alone can be tricky and at a low price point you need a lot of volume to be profitable.

So one of the ways to actually become profitable is to focus on increasing your ACV - your Average Cart Value.

When you don’t have the volume yet to hit your revenue goals, and you aren’t charging a high price for your offers, there are smaller ways to increase your ACV and come out ahead. Tune into this episode to find out what they are!

When you can go on a holiday and everything still runs smoothly inside your business you know you’re really onto something.

I remember when I created my wellness center thinking that it would do exactly that - and it did NOT!

Now, my target is to make my business and my membership just as valuable without me in it. To become... USELESS!

Being useless is not as scary as it sounds, in this episode let me show you how it can give you the freedom you are asking for.

In order to keep your membership viable, profitable and an asset for you that grows, you will want to focus on retention.

It’s far cheaper and easier to keep a current member in your membership than it is to acquire a new one!

So question is - how do you keep your members happy without you having to work more/harder?

The answer might surprise you!

This idea of demographics and whether or not they matter comes up a lot in my courses. People will do one of two things: they either go "oh, I work with everyone" or they get really specific but in an arbitrary way.

Welcome to the Marketing Chaos podcast!

For those of you who have been around for The Global Practitioners podcast, which is what this podcast was called for the first 81 episodes of its life, I have a story for you today. And those of you who are new to this podcast, it'll be a little history lesson and hopefully a cautionary tale.

I want to start by talking about burnout ... and burnout is a topic that I wasn't sure was a real thing. To be honest, I thought people were maybe making it up. I never experienced it before… I myself have always loved working. I've loved my business. I love creating. I've always found those things synonymous. Creation and business were always one.

So imagine my surprise when burnout hit me … and hear how it led to an all new creation. This one! Welcome to Marketing Chaos.

I think this might be the number one killer of all future success...

So did your ears just pick up? They should. You might call it perfectionism, but really it's an excuse.

What I’ve noticed in some of my groups is that it's a pattern that many people repeat. And it's like, they have an idea, we chat about it, they ask questions, they do the work.

And instead of just putting it out there and getting started, they want to figure it out. Is it going to work? How well is it going to work? How many people are going to sign up? What's going to happen next? And you're trying to predict the future and you're trying to get it right.

We don't know until you start what's going to happen.

So my message for you, is to just start now. You'll be in a far, far greater place than the ones who hold back and rework and rework and rework the idea and the concept to get it right.

You just will.

You can't replace the amount of information, knowledge, awareness that you'll get from just starting.

Have you exhausted your existing audience? Here are four signs that you have done just that:

  1. You're having to create new classes or courses or offers in order to make sales.
  2. You're having to deliver the class LIVE over and over vs. creating an online course that can stand alone without a live competent of support necessarily.
  3. You have decent engagement but sales are declining.
  4. You've been reducing the price of your class/course or program OR putting on frequent flash sales in order to make a profit.

The problem is that you are not generating new warm leads.

If you are not constantly growing your audience then you are stuck in a cycle where the only way to continue to make more money is to add or make changes to courses or classes that your audience has already bought or to come up with something completely new.

We use it as an excuse to keep our creations from going out to the world when really all we are doing is trying to avoid the judgment.

In this episode we are talking about just getting your work out into the world, and how to overcome the fear of judgment.

What if the difference between you having massive online classes and crickets, is whether or not you are delivering content that your audience actually wants?

My simple tip for you is to first ask your audience what they want and then deliver it!

I guarantee most of you are not doing this, but if you would do it,
which you probably won't, but if you started doing it, it would make such a massive difference in the results that you're getting, as far as how many people are watching your videos, how many people are signing up and registering for your classes, and how many people are purchasing your online products and courses.

You only prove something because you secretly believe the opposite is true.

For example, are you trying to prove you deserve the amount of money you are making in your job or business by working long hours or over delivering in an area? Or, are you offering free things in your business to prove you are not doing it for the money?

The thing is, when you give up proving you are good, nobody questions it.  Whereas, if you are trying to hide something you secretly think you are, people will pick up on something not being quite right here and react accordingly.

Proving comes from either self-judgment or judgment from others.  If you are reacting and resisting or aligning and agreeing to judgment, it is controlling you.  What if you could instead function from choice?

One of the most frequent things that I hear from my students is "I can't help anyone because I don't know it all yet"! They believe they are not good enough or the best at teaching something. It keeps them stuck and not starting because they don't feel like they're far enough ahead yet. But here's the trick. If you have the 10% Edge, if you're one chapter ahead, you can actually bring people to where you are and then you can go further.

Today we are tackling the three myths of procrastination!

  1. Procrastination is all about fear. So one thing to realize is fear is not real. Fear is a distraction and it will always come up in order to distract you or tell you that you are afraid so that you don't move forward on whatever it is you are choosing to do. Just because you are feeling fearful doesn't mean that it is a good reason to stop.
  2. Myth number two is that you're procrastinating because you feel like you're not capable of doing that task. It's not that you're actually feeling like you're incapable of doing that task. It's that you feel like you need to get it right.
  3. Myth number three, high impulsiveness and distraction. This myth says that you are procrastinating because you're easily distracted. You are unable to focus or that you have a high level or tendency to follow bright, shiny things and be impulsive. Is it really true or do you just not desire doing the thing that you are procrastinating doing?

Tune in to this episode to find out how you can move forward on your tasks and to stop functioning from these myths!

Is it time to up your ask?

Are you feeling like you have plateaued, or everything has stopped, or nothing is moving forward? How much is that because you're setting your targets or your goals too low? Your targets should be a little bit... edgy, they should make you a little bit nervous. They should be exciting.

You should be like, "I don't know if I'm going to be able to hit that."  That's how you know you've set enough of a target.

This is not just about how much money, how many members, how many people purchasing, how many people in your class, or how many people on your email list. This is about what you would like to create in the world.

So are you asking for enough?

Everyone has a story to tell, are you using your story to your advantage?

I've been noticing one common theme across my students is that they don't actually realize that they have a story to tell. And you probably will recognize this in yourself, if this is you, where you think that your past either doesn't matter or nobody would be interested, or you've already lived it and gone through it, and you're not interested in re-living it or talking about it.

Tap into whatever it is that has been a part of making you who you are today, those defining moments in your life, those defining events, those eras that you went through, that you know that you would never go back to. You've learnt so much from them, you've gotten so much awareness from them.

When you tap into that energy and that struggle, or those learnings moments, and you use it to weave into the story of how you overcame that challenge, or how you created the transformation, it is such a gift to your audience. And it actually allows your audience, your clients, your customers, your participants, whatever you call the people, to connect to you.

So, would you be willing to use your past to your advantage?

So what I am going to talk to you about today is not going to be easy to hear, but if you have a look at this for yourself, I guarantee you this is going to create a ton of freedom in your universe. And it is not what you expect. You hear a lot of people talking about being afraid to fail, and using that as a reason and justification not to start. What we are going to have a look at in this episode is, is it actually true that you have a fear of failure? Or is it something else? Tune in to this episode to find out more!

How many excuses are you using to not get yourself, and your amazing, brilliant content out to the world? This episode is about getting over yourself, and getting your list growing. Here are my five tips for doing just that!

  1. You don't have to be perfect to get out there... this is not about you.
  2. No one is paying attention to all the problems you think you have or the judgments you have of you.
  3. Get over the point of view that you have to be a tech genius to do this.
  4. You don't have to do this like anyone else.
  5. The more you do, the better you get.

If you are willing to change the excuses, reasons and justifications that stop you from being as successful as you really could be, then tune in to this episode!

If you are like me then you may have bright, shiny object syndrome. What is that? It means that you get very excited by what you are creating and you are all in and you are ready to get started. And then at some point you kind of lose interest and you really just want to kind of wipe your hands of it and move on to something new.

Sound familiar? Here are my top tips to get focused and stay on track!

  1. Instead of killing the project, ask yourself "Who or what do I need to put in place for this to continue?"
  2. Recognize that you may have a joy of failure...
  3. Ask yourself, "Am I playing a big enough game?"

Hey guys, Lauren Marie here, the Non-Mom-Mom, coming to you from my home in sunny Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, talking to you about the three reasons not to work from home with kids.

If these three reasons apply to you, then you should definitely consider not becoming a working mom that stays at home.

So number one, if you would like a predictable day, a predictable life definitely this is not for you. Are you okay with things coming
up on the fly and getting creative?

Number two ... if you like being told what to do. Do you actually like to work for yourself or would you like to have a boss?

And reason number three is if you would like to separate work and your personal life. If you want it to be separate, working from home is not going to work for you.

Episode number 9 - we’re talking today about 3 habits to adopt now to juggle family and business. Woo hoo!

The first thing I want to say about it is that you don’t have to buy into other people’s realities when it comes to being a working parent. There are a lot of people out there that find it very overwhelming, stressful, and who will be projecting at you all the time about how hard it is.

What’s your reality with working as a parent, and what if it didn’t have to be like anyone else’s? If you were going to create your reality with your family and your business, how would that be? It could actually be easy for you to juggle your family and business, and it could be created totally different.

My first tip to juggling family and business is to be willing to change on a dime, improvise, and be imperfect. This means not being attached to having a plan!

Number two is to do whatever it takes. Maybe you do have to get up an hour earlier. Maybe you do have to stay up after your kids go to bed and learn a new skill or study, or have that extra stream of income that you do while they’re sleeping. Do whatever it takes, and be really crafty and willing to get down and dirty.

Number three, is to each night look at your to do list and to pick a maximum of three things that you will complete the next day. This about recognizing where your energy needs to be and what is a priority for you that day.

Are the decisions that you're making in your business about the money? You're probably going, "Well, it's a business, shouldn't it be about the money?" Well, yes and no. Include money in your choices, but not make your choices about the money. Because when you do that you start to make your business and your life smaller and smaller. You stop choosing what is going to create your business and create your life and you start diminishing that in favor of, "Well, I can afford it, or this is the right choice based on the amount of money I have or I don't have". That is not actually going to create a greater future for you or for your
business.

So, when you're making choices, you want to ask, "What will this choice create?" And not have it be, "Can I afford this?". If you get a sense of the energy of those two questions, which one is more
expansive?

It's almost backwards, we think we have to have the money before we make the choice. Actually we have to make the choice, and the money will follow. Ask for money to show up, and allow the contribution of the universe to support you financially and in all other ways. Include the money in your ask, but don't make it about the money.

We're talking today about how to scale your online business, in particular three ways that I suggest you get started. So you have some revenue streams, you have some income coming in and you would like more and you would like your business to go bigger.

Firstly, start by increasing your reach and growing your audience. So you have your existing email list, you have your followers on Facebook and Instagram, and we want to increase that. The number one way to do that is to create consistent content. Your "followers" will find you if you are posting regularly, if you're sending regular emails and you're creating valuable and relevant content for them,

The second way is to grow your team. There is only so much you can do personally. Start wherever you're at, writing down everything that you do throughout your day. And on each item ask this question: Could someone else be doing this? There are some things that you need to do in your business and then there is a lot of other stuff that can be taken care of by someone else.

The third way is to position yourself as an expert. One way to really scale your online business is to become an expert and to position yourself as one. Look at what media media you can be featured in, or ask your current clients for testimonials and their stories of change since working with you.

So these are three quick ways of growing and scaling your online business. And if you would like to really dive in, subscribe right here to this Global Practitioner Podcast so you don’t miss anything!

Today I wanted to talk to you about the six words that you want to eliminate from your vocabulary as a successful Global Practitioner.

The energy that you are when you're talking and the words that you're using is a reflection of what you're creating in your life. So, are you aware of the words that you're using? Are you catching yourself when you're using words that are creating limitation, or destruction in your life?

And are you aware that it's not just semantics, it's actually creating a reality? So, by changing the words that you use, you can change what you are creating in your business and in your life. So, here are the six words that you want to stop saying: why, try, need, want, but, and never.

Today’s podcast episode is all about working from home. What I would like to do is give you the five things that I did that worked for me to create 500% of the income that I was making before I had my twins.

Number one is to choose to commit to yourself, your family, the money and life you would like to create, and the change you would like to see in the world.

Number two is to educate yourself and teach yourself new skills? What are you already good at? What could you learn that would be a valuable asset for creating an online business?

Number three is to just start. You don't have to have it all figured out, just begin!

Number four, look at what streams of revenue you can add to your life. You want to look at what you can add, rather than what to take away.

Number five, look at the top online businesses, bloggers, influencers, podcasters, or online course creators, and see what support you can be for those people.

If you would like more details, then tune in to this episode of The Global Practitioner Podcast!

Is work your guilty pleasure?

Now, if you hate working, if you hate creating, if you don't like making money, this is not for you. Please stop listening now, you're not going to enjoy this. But if you're like me and you actually love to create, and your work brings you lots of joy and money, then this is for you.

When I found out I was pregnant (with twins!), my biggest fear was that I was going to have to stop working and that I was going to have to give up what I do. There was a lot of guilt because I love working, and everyone required my attention!

What I found was that when I started to make choices that included me and my family, but were not based on avoiding guilt, I was able to do what I love and spend my time with the people I love without feeling guilty.

Wouldn't it be nice to hang up that guilt at the door and just leave it there? Listen to this episode to find out how I did it!

For me I love creating, and I love business. I want to bring that joy to whoever is asking for more of that. If that is you, I hope you enjoy this podcast!
