The Church is drawing battle lines and moving forward into the darkness with the message of the liberating kingdom of God. Shortly before Jesus entered Jerusalem for his final week, a woman came to him and anointed him for his burial. The disciples (not just Judas!) were outraged at this waste and reprimanded her, but Jesus said “Leave her alone!”
