There's a fight for the deep places in the heart of the church, because if the enemy can keep you in the shallows, he wins. And sometimes we don't even recognize what the enemy looks like so we give him no opposition. What are the deep places? How can we recognize our enemy? Let's dive out into those deep places together.
Everyone wants to know the secret to an effectual prayer life, which really is a prayer life that gets answers. We dive into that today in this episode on walking with God. We want to move from a prayer life that is all about transacting business to one that takes us into the deep places of God, and we do that in walking with Him. Walking with God truly safeguards our faith and takes us to a place where we will see the supernatural.
We are back (under a new name - Let's Go Deeper!) with the same love and passion for going deeper in the Word of God together and deeper in our walk with God. Today we are going to glance through the Christmas story and on to Elijah to see who God can use to accomplish His plans on the earth, how He needs us to pray in these last days (it's easy - you'll see), and what God spoke to Elijah on the mountain has to do with you and me today. We are knee deep in this stay-at-home (shelter-in-place) directive in Ohio, and it's hitting us all a little differently. Today my daughter, Alli, and I had a great conversation about the quarantine from the perspective of a high school student. We chat about surviving, togetherness in a small house, taking things for granted, boredom and pressing in to God as well as what it's like to be a PK (aka pastor's kid). How's your city? Is it prosperous or poor? Godly or wicked? God has a plan for our cities to be full of His power, and it all starts with prayer. Culture can only reign when the church does not. Listen as Toni shares how to take our cities back for God through the authority He's given us in the Word and prayer. God wants to use you to change your city through prayer. Generations. Generation X. Millenials. Baby Boomers. So many generations. Which is the most important generation? The answer is - all of them. There wasn't a generation missing in the first coming of Christ. Every generation played a vital role the first time around. Well, I have some news for all of us. Jesus is coming again, and it's time for every generation to take its place to help usher His presence into this earth again. What part are you supposed to play?
We are living in the last days, and we need to pray. Pray for our leaders and governments. Pray for world events. Pray for the will and plan of God to prevail on this earth. I love the story of when Jesus sat down, gathered His materials, and on purpose made a whip to drive out of the temple what didn't belong there. We are now the temple of God, and there are things in our lives that don't belong there. Only now we use our words to drive them out. Luke Chapter 1 is like the prequel to the whole thing. I've read it hundrends and hundreds of times, but this year, I saw so much more in it than ever before. We live within limits. My checkbook has a limit. My energy has a limit. My car has a limit of how far it can go on one tank. Sometimes what's in our hand to do seems so small and insignificant we dismiss it. But everything we do has value and can make a difference. What's Your Something?
Faith. It's a belief. It's a firm persuasion. We need it. But what does it look like? Take a listen to Go Get Your Own and see what faith looks like, what it does, and why we need it in these last days.
In this final lesson of Jesus Our Example, we see the key to how Jesus was able to live in rest. Live in peace. Living in such humility, stress-free and free from insecurities. By Abiding. Stress. Yuck. It's a real peace killer. It can keep us up at night. It can make us sick. It steals our joy for life. In this message, we take a look at how Jesus handled stress and stressful situations to see how we can walk free of it too.
Walk with Me. Work with Me. Watch how I do it. That's how Jesus told us we would find real rest for our souls. In my quest for rest, I've noticed something that was missing in Jesus' life but very present and causing unrest in ours. Insecurity. In this message we'll see how we can walk free from the unrest causing insecurities that try to plague our lives and find real rest for our souls.
Hope drives prayer. And much of the church has lost hope where it comes to praying for our nation. We can't see HOW it can change, so instead of praying in faith we shrink back in fear. In Can These Bones Live? we look at fear, faith and what God has called the church to do in these last days.
Walk with Me. Work with Me. Watch how I do it. Jesus wanted us to follow Him. To watch Him. To be like Him. And humility was one of the key things that marked His life. Walk with me through the gospels and let's take a look at humility...what it is and what it should look like in our lives.
I love Matthew 11:28-30. Come to me if you're weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. The Message says, "Walk with Me, work with Me, watch how I do it." So, since I've been on a quest for rest, I took that to heart. In Walk Work Watch, we take a look at this and see what that means for our lives, for our rest, for our peace. Jesus was an amazing example.
We are busy these days, aren't we? And stress is never far behind. It lurks. What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? I share my story of being overwhelmed, depressed,and STRESSED! And when I cried out to God, I got the answer nobody wants to hear. Take a listen to see what to do when you're overwhelmed.
It's good to pray. To pray in the midst of crisis. To pray for current events. For things going on all around us. We need to release God's power into these situations. But in Genesis 18, we see another way. God says, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I'm about to do." God revealed to him what was about to happen, and Abraham interceded. And He still wants to do this today. In this lesson we see how we can also be used in prayer to pray out ahead of situations. God knows what's about to happen, and He is looking for someone to show so they can pray. Will you be that person?
God gave us His Word so we have something to look at when everything else in our lives looks opposite to it. In this lesson, we learn about how to contend for what God said between asking and receiving. When faith isn't immediately made sight, we need to learn how to contend. To stand. To fight for it. He is faithful. It will come to pass.
In part 4 of Prayer Life, we take a look at another layer in the foundation of a successful prayer life - The Word. His Word is the basis of our faith, it's what our prayers are founded on, and it carries power when we speak it. We also check out a few things outside of the prayer room that can hinder our prayers from being answered
Covenant is not usually a subject taught in conjunction with having a successful prayer life, but part 3 we'll see what covenant is, why we need one, and what in the world that has to do with answered prayer.
John 15:7 says, "If you abide in Me, and my Word abides in you, you can ask whatever you will and it will be done for you." Abiding is key to laying a foundation for an effectual prayer life, and we learn in this message just what it looks like to abide in the Vine.
In Prayer Life part 1, we take a unique look at the What and Why of prayer. What it is and why we need to pray. Prayer is so much more than something we do. It should be as natural to us as breathing. Join us as we take a fresh look at prayer and learn to develop not just a prayer time but a Prayer Life.

Biblical hope is a confident expectation of Good. So...what happens when good doesn't look so good? Take a look with us at Luke 2 from a different perspective and gain some hope and encouragement as we see what to do When Good Doesn't Look So Good.
We have all had those times when we've prayed or we've gotten a Word from God and it just doesn't look like anything is happening. Or the opposite of what He said is happening. We take a look at some examples in the Word to bring us hope and strength to hold on and show us what to do when it doesn't look like God is moving...

Romans 4 says that we are to have faith like Abraham's. He didn't waver. He stood strong. He plunged into the promise, convinced God would do what only He could do. Do. Love. Walk. These are things that the Lord requires of us. Do justly. Love mercy. Walk humbly with our God. In this podcast we learn what it means to do, love, and walk and look at our perfect example of Jesus to see just how to do it and what happens when we do!

I am so thankful we serve a powerful and amazing God, but I am even more thankful He doesn't keep His power and presence all to Himself in heaven. He still comes down.
What you see (or focus on) is what will produce in your life. What you look at makes all the difference in the world where faith is concerned. Is what you're looking at causing doubt or building your faith? What do you see?
There are two ways to see - through our eyes at our circumstances or through our faith. It's time to move up higher and see what God sees. That's where victory is!
Many question things every day. And that's good. Some things need to be questioned. But when we start to question our significance, it's not so good. You are significant, and God has an amazing plan for you.
We are living in interesting times, with prophecy being fulfilled all around us, and God has put some things in my heart to pray in these last days. He doesn't need a perfect situation in which to move....He just needs a praying church to release His power. Amen!
When Joshua marched around the walls of Jericho, he had specific instructions to go around and around and around a set number of times. What if he had stopped too soon? What if he didn't finish the 7th lap on the 7th day. Sometimes we stop short just before we get to our miracle. Don't stop....your faith will see you through to the end!
There are times it seems we get answers to prayers we didn't even pray or right the minute we pray them. Then there are other times that it seems like an answer will never come. Sometimes we have to contend for what God said in our lives. It's not always easy, but it is always worth it.
There is a river of life that flows from the throne of God and flows out of us...and we can drink of it! We can come and drink freely...what are you drinking?
Do you ever look at your life and think, "Well, that's not what I thought it would look like?" Joseph went through some rough stuff on the way to seeing his dream come to pass. I wonder how many times he had this though: That's not what I thought it would look like. But God had a plan and it lead to a wonderful destiny-filled life.
One of my favorite verses is Philippians when Paul tells us he has learned the secret of living content. This can be a difficult thing to walk out in daily life, especially in our culture. Learn how we, like Paul, can live content no matter what.
God wants to do miracles in us and through us...and He usually uses what we have in our hand to do it. He can do amazing things with almost nothing if we offer it to Him in faith.
