El Tri is out and so is Tata. The Mexican national team crashed and burned at the World Cup and missed out on making the knockout stage. France was cheated out of a goal, but is still a heavy favorite to make the final.
The USMNT came out firing on all cylinders and rode a first-half goal from Captain America to a spot in the Round of 16. Also joining them are the Netherlands, Senegal, and England.
Day nine of the World Cup treated watchers to fourteen goals in four matches as the nations finished up their second matches. There are plenty of storylines to follow as groups A and B get match day three underway in the morning.
It was another day of unexpected results and one in which we got to see the return to form for a couple of nations.
The first full week of the World Cup is in the books. There have been a few surprised on the way and there may be more to come. Tomorrow, Spain and Germany are the highlight of the day.

Neither New Mexico United nor El Paso has been great lately. Somehow, both have remained in the playoff hunt and the Friday night clash between the rivals could propel them either into a solid standing or grasping at straws.
The Black & Yellow finally snapped the home losing streak with a win on Saturday over Monterey Bay FC. As the push for the playoffs continues, United has to continue showing the confidence they did in that match and push the attack.

Another week, another missed opportunity for United to pick up points. After winning their home opener, New Mexico United turn their attention to El Paso Locomotive. Both clubs looked good in their openers but had vastly different outcomes. Saturday night against Loudoun was a match that United fans will never forget. And not in a good way. You name it, it happened; blown calls, missed calls, Neymar level flopping. The good guys got the short end of the stick without a doubt. Since then, Austin Yearwood's red card was rescinded, which is good news.

New Mexico United is finally back to the business of playing football. This past weekend, the first professional soccer match in over a year here in the state of New Mexico took place as United faced off against El Paso in their pre-season opener.

It's time for the 2020 USL Championship playoffs and for whatever reason, the league put all eight matches on the same day and most overlapping each other in broadcast times.
We discuss whether or not this was the right decision by the league or should something else have been done.

Our first full regular-season on the airwaves is in the books. We struggled at times, but I think we're in-form just in time for the playoffs. After this episode was recorded, we found out there is a possibility that United could play on Tuesday night with a chance to retake the Group C lead.
