Last month Old Millennials turned five(!) and to celebrate, we thought we'd come back from our hiatus as we prep for Season 11 with a review of the instant classic Madame Web, which we can't stop pronouncing as if she is running a Moulin Rouge/brothel in turn of the century Paris. Join us as we try to figure out how Madame Web's visions work (we seem to be following Alice Cullen rules) and discuss how this movie was fun and Dakota Johnson's clear annoyance over contractual obligations made it all the better.

Sometimes a genre of movies results in enough tropes to get its own spoof movie (or in the case of some of these, an entire franchise's worth of spoof movies). This week, we remember some of the bigger ones from the late '90s and early '00s, Scary Movie and Not Another Teen Movie. We'll talk about the actors who got their first big breaks (Anna Faris and Chris Evans!), why these movies aren't really funny after a few years, and deep dive into the career of Dave Sheridan, who played both Doofy and the killer in Scary Movie, just because he asked.
"Hi, we're Margaux and Emilie, we're from the Bay Area, and we requested the Backstreet Boys' 'I Want It That Way' because the guys in the band are soooooo hot, wooooooo!" This week, we remember a time when it was perfectly normal to say something like that on live TV and have it be followed by an army of screaming teenagers. We're of course talking about TRL; more specifically, we're deep diving into the history, casting, and top moments we remember on the show.
Whether they're a dashing Brit, brooding hunk, or the lovable idiot, one thing is for sure, they don't make rom com leading men like they used to. This week on the pod, Emilie and Margaux revisit leading men of popular rom coms from Hugh Grant to Adam Sandler, and several others in between.

This week, we dive into the world of Nickelodeon, specifically the iconic Saturday night programming that made up SNICK, the soundtrack to so many sleepovers. We talk about two of the anchor shows, the still-haunting-to-this-day Are You Afraid of the Dark and still-very-funny All That, and also talk about All That's spinoffs Kenan & Kel and The Amanda Show. We remember the best All That segments and continue to be awestruck by the accuracy of an 11-year-old's impression of Ross Perot.

Those iconic words will forever live in our Reality TV-loving hearts, and this week, we decided to watch the Hills episode that launched them into the stratosphere. We look back at the events (Heidi and Lauren having a minor confrontation at a fundraising event hosted by veteran TV showrunner Norman Lear?), the fashion choices (so many empire waists), and at how little Justin Bobby and Spencer Pratt have changed.

We talked about the ambitious but totally Republican Tracy Flick in Election, the demise of Nixon administration brought by way of two teenage girls in Dick, and the dark clique and popularity high school politics that rule Jawbreaker.

In the midst of this quarantine, let's travel back to simpler times, back when reality tv was low-budget, and there were 20+ VERY EAGER women vying for a chance to date Flavor Flav. We revisited the VH1 Celebreality universe this week, and spoiler alert: it was wild (and at times depressing). We rewatched the Surreal Life, Flavor of Love, I Love New York, and Celebrity Fit Club and all we can say is New York is, and will forever remain, a queen. Also, Sister Patterson for the win.

Welcome to our last episode of the 2010s! We are breaking down our "Spotify Unwrapped" playlists and reviewing Pitchfork's "Best Albums of the 2010s." Margaux shares just how much she listened to Drake at one point, Emilie might be someone's parent with the amount of Fleetwood Mac she listened to, and together, we both became the biggest stans of Lizzo, Maggies Rogers, and Kacey Musgraves.
